Great visit from beginning to end. The staff made everything simple, the place felt welcoming, and the whole experience went smoothly. I left happy and would come back again. read more

Can't recommend this place enough! Wife took her car there for an alignment after getting new tires installed. They checked the alignment after performing a courtesy inspection of the suspension system and informed her all was good. They are very friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and punctual. Very high reviews and can see why. read more

I had been going to Yost for years for my old Lexus. I remember they had to tow my car from the grocery store to their shop. The guy who was going to repair the key ignition, called me if I would like to get a used part instead of a new one and I totally agreed because the cost was much less than the new one. The mechanics were excellent at that time. However, something happened a few years ago as the people changed. Prices went up quickly and it made me feel the recent change of employees was the issue. The last time I went there, I had an oil leak - after the oil change. I told them about it, had to take it back and they said it was not an oil leak and all they had to do was tighten up the lid. However, when I took my car to another auto shop to clean the headlights, they found an oil leak. They fixed it and did it the right way. This particular incident made it clear to me that Yost had no intention of fixing my vehicle correctly. That made me very angry as I spent thousands of dollars in the past. I have stopped going there. I would never recommend their services to anyone. read more

I had been going to the same auto shop for nearly 20 years, but after a few disappointing experiences, I started looking for a new place. Based on a combination of great reviews and personal recommendations, I decided to try Yost, and I couldn't be happier. After having them cross-quote several jobs, I found their pricing to be very competitive, and their customer service (from both Bryan and Sam) has consistently exceeded my expectations. After multiple repairs, Yost has absolutely earned my business. Highly recommended. read more

I am extremely disappointed and disgusted with this place. They acted like the stereotypical mechanics who try to scam you and are the reason people are scared to go to the mechanic. My brothers 04 accord has a minor head gasket leak which we are aware of and have just taken temporary measures to fix as the car is just a beater anyways. All my brother took the car in for was a coolant flush and refill (as this unfortunately needs to be done once every few months with the head gasket issue). When he took it in they pointed out that there was some sealant in the radiator, which we were aware of and that it could come out during the flush. Fine no problem just flush it and fill it up, can always add more sealant later. But nope, they decided to start hassling my brother (who doesn't know cars) and started to pull all the spark plugs and tell him how bad the head gasket was and that it wouldn't keep driving and he needed to shell $3,000 out ASAP to fix it. They then got in the car and cranked it WITH NO SPARK PLUGS, to try and trick him into thinking the car won't run anymore. This is the point my brother reached out to me and sent me a picture of the "4 things they removed from my engine". All of the plugs. I told him to Demand them to IMMEDIATELY put them back in and you are going to pay and leave. They THEN told him, that his car might start now but there is a 99% chance it doesn't start or run again afterwards, again trying to scare him. Sure enough they put the spark plugs back in and guess what, car started right up and ran fine. My brother pulled over turned the car off and it turned right back on fine, obviously. I would steer clear of this place by any means necessary ESPECIALLY if you don't know much about cars, as I bet they try to take advantage of people often. Again this place is extremely disappointing, unprofessional and practices poor ethical standards. I wish I didn't live so far or I'd love to go talk to the mechanics in person. I'm just glad my brother brought this to my attention before he was tricked into shelling our thousands for issues that were not present NOR ever asked to be looked at... read more

My bonus son is attending college at Friends University from out of state. The first week of arriving in Kansas, he started having some issues with his low beam lights malfunctioning and we needed it taken care of immediately. Yost Auto Service went above and beyond their call of duty to take care of him. I am very grateful that we now have a place that we can rely on for future issues that might occur. Thank you, Yost, for the top notch service! read more

Car deposited on May 7th, 2019 for repair of exhaust cam solenoid. Company diagnosed multiple issues with car and charged diagnostic fee when I chose not to have those issues repaired. The car worked fine but I wanted to remove the check engine light. When I picked up the car it was immediately noticeable that it was not functioning well. I attempted to resolve with the business multiple times including a desire for them to repair the issues they introduced and then when they refused. I had to go to another mechanic to resolve, they chose not to pay the fees of that resolution nor issue an apology. I am frustrated that a working vehicle was introduced to the shop and a basic test to determine functionality of the vehicle was not performed and followed up with lack of desire to remedy the situation. It went to the point that I filed a BBB complaint that they downright lied into and posted other customer's information along with "after the fact handwritten notes" in to corroborate their deceit. read more

Yost is incredible for many reasons, but the reasons they are top notch to me are as follows: 1. Ever discover a foul stench in your vehicle? Well Yost has the strongest stomachs to deal with even the most foul of stenches (in my case a turkey log). They stayed in contact providing me constant updates throughout the mess during the heat of the summer to resolve the stench. 2. They were able to squeeze in a friend of mine (who was driving cross country) to do a quick fix before they continued their journey. 3. They are all around a great company to work with and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new auto service shop! read more

I took my car into Yost with a blower motor problem. It was repaired the same day and the problem clearly explained to me before the service was done. The staff here are exceptional. My husband and I have taken out cars to Yost for as long as I can remember. They have always been up front and very professional. They would let us know what was wrong and work with us to get the problem fixed. I recommend them to anyone who needs their car worked on. read more

The most honest and efficient mechanic I've ever worked with. I was passing through on a road trip and had my check engine light come on. I called from the middle of Kansas to find out about scheduling a diagnostic. Bryan wasn't able to fit me in, but he ran the computer codes free of charge and gave us his advice on how to proceed with our trip. I would highly recommend this mechanic. If I lived in town I would make it my go-to shop. read more

Plain and simple, Yost does it right. Russ and his crew run a great operation and consistently and constantly keep their customers happy. I've taken all makes and models of cars that I own there for all types of service, and the service, both customer and work done, is always top notch. One day I took my laptop in to do some work. The wifi was running slow, and without hesitation, Russ rebooted the wifi to try to get it to work quicker for me. Now that's what I call putting the customer first. read more

The owners and men that work there are all so sweet. Very honest. Prices are reasonable. Have always worked with me on the high dollor fixes. Have their own towing if needed. Free coffee and water while wait. They offer rides if need it leaving or coming from there. Love these guys. Very professional read more

Honestly the best car shop in town. I live in Kanas City and will only take my car to Yost. I plan my trips to Wichita around my car appointments. Their integrity, prices and quality of work are so much better than what I've seen in Wichita or Kansas City. To find a place that truly has my best interest at heart is amazing. read more

We have been going to Yost for years and have always been happy with their work. They will call you to let you know what they find before they proceed. I've gone to yost for many years. They are always friendly. But, many times it seems like they are giving preferential treatment to customers who come in after me. The repairs appear to be quite costly. Went in for a quick oil change. Watched another customer get oil change and leave. Couple others come and go. Got out in an hour and half. You be the judge. read more

We were needing to get an older vehicle back on the road and had concerns that repairs would be too costly. The Yost staff looked the vehicle over and gave us an honest and meaningful explanation of what would be required. We went ahead with the repairs which came out to be 1/3 of what other repair shops thought it would take. The work was exceptional and the car runs great. Thank you to the Yost Auto team. I brought my older lexus here for a problem i had been having with the AC. I feel horrible but I can not remember the very nice woman working the front desk but, she was extremely pleasant to deal with and was always very helpful. The first time I brought the car in they were willing to stay late as I just couldn't get off work during their normal hours. Once there they give you a free soda if choose to wait. The diagnostic didn't take them to long to figure out, but they said I would have to wait as they needed to order the part from lexus. Once the part came in they gave me a call and I told them when I could bring the car back in. It only took them a few hours and when I arrived to pay the bill they had voluntarily given me a discount! The A/C works great now and I have no regrets about using Yost Auto. read more

Very unprofessional when it comes to communication! I called before I brought my truck up to clarify that they could get my brakes replaced before I left the state later in the evening. They reassured me they could. So I dropped my truck off just before lunch time, was told i would be receiving a call shortly after lunch to be informed of what was needed done. By 3:30 pm I had received no phone call from them. So I call and they tell me they're just getting to it and they will get back to be soon. At 5:00 just before they are about to close might I remind you, and they inform me that they will not be able to fix my brakes by this evening! So now I am having to leave the state with my brakes not up to par and will be forced to stop somewhere on the way to my destination, and have my brakes replaced tomorrow. Thanks YOST! I will surely refer people your way for quality car service, NOT!! read more

It doesn't get much better than Yost! No one likes spending money on car repairs but when I go to Yost I always know it will be done right the first time. Such a friendly and courteous staff as well as the top notch mechanics make Yost my only choice for car service. read more

I trust the folks at Yost completely - great company!

They were recommended by a friend and I must say, this is the first time I have really ever trusted what an auto repair company had to say. Our vehicle needed an expensive repair that they could have done and charged quite a bit for it. However, they indicated a Service Bulletin/Recall had been posted on the part, and that it could be repaired for free by a GM dealer. read more

It's hard to find an auto service shop that is (1) honest, (2) dependable, and (3) friendly, but Yost is the rare example that gets checkmarks in all three categories. Unlike the chain shops that try to upsell you on services that you don't need, Yost is upfront about the maintenance that your car actually does require. You can trust these guys, and trust goes a long, long way. Yost values its customers, and the friendliness demonstrated by its employees is refreshing for this kind of business. Even if there's a service you need that Yost can't provide (i.e., window tinting), the folks at Yost will happily give you a recommendation and point you in the right direction. Protip: Sign up for the e-mail coupons. They're worth it. read more

I took my car to Yost recently and asked them to check out a sound I was hearing. After they looked at it, they found it had something to do with my timing belt. They gave me a quote and I left so I could think about it. I decided to do it and came back the next week to drop it off. They had my car fixed in one day and said I needed less work than they had initially thought. The price ended up being much lower than the initial quote they had given me. Overall, I'm super happy with the service I received and will recommend this company to anyone who is looking for an automotive shop. read more

Best mechanics in Wichita! They know how to do the job well and they run their shop with kindness and integrity. I never fail to leave feeling like they went above and beyond the call of duty. Once we had the owner of a car for sale bring the car by Yost Auto so they could check it out for us before we bought it. A month later, the guy called me to ask me to remind him where we had him take that car, because he really liked how they treated him at the shop and wanted them to look at his new car. Just interacting with the Yost Auto staff made him switch mechanics then and there! I will never go anywhere else. read more

Been using Yost for years. They are the best. Fair prices, excellent work and customer service. You won't be disappointed.

These guys know how to treat their customers, for sure. Russ is always willing to go the extra mile for us. We've been taking our vehicles to this shop for years & we've never been disappointed. The entire staff are very friendly. They've offered to take us to a restaurant when they took longer than expected, so we didn't have to wait in the shop. However, You never mind waiting because the lounge area is very accommodating. I can't say enough good things about these guys. :) read more

I have used them for over 3 years and they have always provided excellent service in a very friendly, courteous & helpful manner. But most importantly they have good character. When something was missed or forgotten on my car, they humbly took ownership of the mistake and made every necessary step to correct it. Often, you find out more about the quality and character of a place when things don't go well or according to plan and I can vouch that the ownership here is one of quality character. read more

Russ at Yost Auto is the best. I took him a beater to rejuvenate. He transformed the car and didn't charge me an arm-and-a-leg. He was a straight shooter--he wouldn't have fixed the car if he didn't think it was worth it. Use Yost for your new car or your beater! read more

I have used Yost for over a decade. If I bring it with what I think is a $500 repair and it's only a different $200 repair, that's what they fix and charge me. Too many other places would charge me foe unnecessary $500 repair and the $200 repair. I had a car transmission destroyed by another major repair shop, one of its shops is temporarily closed for bad customer service. Took it to Yost and they said it wasn't worth fixing because it cost more than the car was worth. Not many shops would have done the same thing. read more

Have been a customer at Yost for about 4 years, across 3 different vehicles. The staff at Yost is always friendly, responsive, and easy to work with. I have a high degree of confidence in their integrity and don't ever feel like they are trying to "sell" me more service or maintenance than what is necessary. They do good work, get it done quickly and on time, and are excellent communicators. They always call me to confirm what I want done and tell me if they have observed anything else they recommend needs fixed. I also appreciate the many small details of their customer service. They are willing to provide rides to and from my workplace if I need to leave my car for longer service, their office is clean and well kept with wi-fi Internet and comfortable places to sit and work (I often take a laptop and work while I wait for an oil change or service) and I've found their prices to be as good or better than even the "cheap" fast service shops that I don't think offer near as high quality of service. read more

I used Yost Auto many months ago for a car that had developed a vibration and uneven tire wear in the front end, I was 99% sure what the problem was and normally do most of my own auto work, but didn't have the time to deal with it and just dropped it off giving them the symptoms. They called back about an hour after it was dropped off with the verdict which was what I suspected, a bad tie rod, and that I needed two front tires which I agreed with as well because of the wear. Their price was reasonable; tie rod end, two new decent quality tires and an alignment for about $500 out the door and it was done in the early afternoon. The car drove great after they were done and I really appreciate their honesty in diagnosis and speed which they work. read more

This is the type of place you go once, and know that you never need to get service anywhere else! They are a family run establishment, and from what I can see they seem to treat their employees and customers like they are family as well. Kylan, a mechanic, came out to drive my car with me to help identify a noise. He then quickly fixed several issues in a short afternoon! I would recommend Yost Auto Service to everyone, but try them for yourself. You won't regret it! read more
