When they said they don't make appointments for alignments because they "want to have plenty of time to spend with the vehicle", I knew where this was going. I dropped the car off in the morning and, by mid-afternoon, they texted me a list of several thousand dollars' worth of recommended repairs, including many things that had nothing to do with the alignment...just normal wear items on a 160K-mile car. They didn't pressure me to have the repairs done, but they recommended not doing the alignment unless one very expensive repair was completed. Ok, now...I have owned this car since it was brand new and it's been very well maintained, it drives straight and tight, and has been extremely reliable; but an old car is naturally going to have wear, I get it. I do appreciate them not just selling me an alignment that wasn't going to last. And I'm not saying their list was inaccurate regarding the worn parts.
