She looked at us like we were crazy, but said that she could do it, but it would cost more. Normally, hemming pants is $12. She said it would be $35 for the rush job. Ok. We went to get them today. Arrived at 11:00, which is when they open. There were three other people waiting, but the owner didn't show till 11:30. She said there was heavy traffic, then that she has been sick, which caused the complaining geezers ahead of us to visibly step back from her and stop complaining. Cracked me up! She charged $32 for hemming two pairs of pants, and we didn't correct her -- I think she gave us a discount for not complaining about her lateness. And she wished us a happy wedding day. All in all, she's great, she's flexible, but don't show up right at opening, because she might not be there yet. And take cash, because she doesn't take credit cards.

I brought the jacket back, but instead of acknowledging that something went wrong, first she argued that there is nothing wrong with the jacket, then that she doesn't clean them in-house, so I should deal with her subcontractor, then that this fabric doesn't shrink ( my sleeves that are now inch and a half shorter say otherwise!). My jeans were ready and the zippers are very sturdy. I'm glad that I found her becaise the flimsy zippers thet were on my jeans at first, couldn't stand the regular wear that I was doing.
