The catch....the floor dress was the only one they could sell me. It was pretty big, but it was everything I ever dreamed of so I was determined to make it work! I went to another alteration shop hours before I found out my wedding was getting postponed thanks to COVID. I was refunded for the almost $400 worth of work they were going to do on it. Then, when the wedding was nearing again I went to another alteration shop that was recommendation. This shop only give me a panic attack when that seamstress told me my chest would be pointy if she brought it, the way I wanted it. She told me I wanted it "too tight"...okay lady...who wants their wedding dress loose??? I RAN OUT of there with my dress and then found Tammy's down the road. As soon as she pinned up the dress I knew I could trust her and she would alter it exactly as it need to be.'It was PERFECT I cannot thank her enough and will be bringing it back there to be cleaned. When I showed up with a card, she told me she could take Venmo -- but insisted I write "thank you" in the memo line instead of noting it was for alterations. That alone made it clear this is an under-the-table operation. When I came to pick up the dresses, she didn't offer a fitting -- which is extremely unusual for any reputable alteration service. It felt like she was rushing me out the door, and once I got home, I realized why: the second dress hadn't been altered at all, and the first was completely botched.
