Quality tends to be good, I've never had an IKEA item that wasn't good quality and last. Prices - they're bargain section is really good, they put a lot of items on clearance and for good prices, not just like kinddd of a deal, they really slash it so it goes quick. SO if you like deals, go during the week and often. Layout and product selection is very IKEA, very consistent. Hate that there's not an easier way to get directly to the section you want to get to, but ... there are cut-throughs to skip a section if you can notice them. This was my first visit to IKEA. I was excited because I've heard so many things about them! Allow…read moreme to describe my experience; The escalators were out of order (no biggie) so we took the elevator. Upon entering the second floor, it was a bit overwhelming. As we started walking, we got to see the different themes of each area- which was neat for inspiration, no doubt. But the furniture? I thinks it's meant for hobbits. My goodness if I sat on most of them, I'd never be able to get up! Soo low. The couches? They look very cheap and under comfortable for the most part- although the pricing was not . It's definitely geared more towards first apartment/college vibes. There were some end tables that looked decent. The thing that got me was when I was ready to go- I couldn't. The labyrinth just kept going!! My goodness I thought I was going to get rewarded with a slice of cheese once we got out! I know a lot of people love it but it was not for me. Wayfair around the corner was much better.

Between Bath Tune Up and their subcontractors, I had 5 different contacts I worked with and scheduled separate appointments with- each of whom told me different things. None of them seemed aware of discussions that I'd already had with the others. Multiple times they either didn't show up for appointments or canceled last minute (especially frustrating when I had taken time off work to be home for the appointment). To their credit, early in the process they identified a leak in the side of our house that we needed to fix immediately. Bath Tune Up paused their work and was very patient while I got the leak fixed. After 10 days I notified them that the leak was fixed and the bathroom work could continue. It took them 9 weeks after that to finish the work. Also to their credit, multiple times when I complained about the quality of the work they did send someone out to see and then later come out to fix the work. However- this required a ton of time and management from me. I'd rather they did it right the first time.

But skipped the final step of calking my sink back in. Even tho it was clearly on the checklist of things they were supposed to do. So I had to go out and buy some and do it myself after they left at like 7pm. That sucked. But my biggest complaint was that the communication from the office staff and my so called project manager (Chianne) was terrible! One part was my fault. I got an email about the measurement scheduling, but I didn't actually open it because it looks like spam. It doesn't say the company name or a subject. Just the name of the project manager. So if you don't know that persons name, it looks like spam. But I owned that. After that mix up I was told I would be scheduled for Friday of that week but I would get a call on Thursday to give me a 2 hour window. I never got a call. A driver called me on Friday saying he was on his way. But I wasn't prepared for that and had to turn him away. So I call and talked to a different person about how I never got a phone call with a time. This person said my project manager told her that she called me and I didn't answer. THAT IS COMPLETELY FALSE. Your business model literally says honesty in it and you have managers lying about your customers. When I told this new manager she never called me she literally said, I knew I shouldn't have trusted her! So that's crazy! Finally got scheduled for Monday now. At 8 am on my day off. The measurement guy comes. He does his thing and he also tells me that the manager lied about calling me! Finally at the end tells me I'll hear something about an install date by Friday or at the latest in a week on Monday. By Wednesday I still heard nothing! So I called AGAIN! They said materials were in but they would call me tomorrow for scheduling. They didn't! Surprise! Finally got a date scheduled and held my breath that they would actually show up. They did. And I'm so glad, because now I can be done with this company forever! If I could have gotten out of this a month ago, I would have. But when you order with Home Depot you're stuck. Home Depot told me when I ordered that I was looking at a 3 week install. IT TOOK 2 MONTHS! Also I Called out Chianne on lying about me and not doing her job and there was no apology. Asked to be transferred to her boss. Left him a message. He never called me back, SURPRISE! So no accountability on their part at all. Awful. Just awful experience. Do not use these people!

The room looks so bright and clean now, the new fixtures work beautifully, and cleaning takes almost no time at all. Plus, we now have stylish grab bars, a non-slip shower pan, and a larger drain that won't get clogged with hair. Michelle suggested removing some wall tile to extend the new Onyx wall slabs in the shower enclosure to the door molding, and we are really pleased with the result. The 3-person installation crew, led by Kevin, got the whole job -- including replacing two toilets -- done in 8 hours. They showed up on time, were very pleasant, and they cleaned up after themselves. There were a few minor issues after the job was done, and Michelle sent Matt over. He made everything perfect, and he was just as nice as the rest of the crew. Columbus Bath Design gave us a fair price. As for the actual work on the job, CBD had some of the most able and professional craftsmen that I've run across. These guys were on time, worked diligently, contained demo dust and debris very well and took a lot of pride in how they installed the new product. That last part was very important to me. Not one of them treated the remodel like it was mine....It was more like they were doing the work in their own homes. It was flawless. During the project, they asked me my preference as to locations of towel and TP bars and soap caddies in the shower and bath and the direction of the floor being laid. Still ALL WOOD! Not that particle board stuff they do not carry. We went in 2 days later and immediately shown to 3 in stock. She cut open boxes until she found one without any imperfections. Paid for it. Offered a military discount. Now we have 3 weeks for the contractor to pick it up. Ordered the roll out shelves. It's going to be a fine appliance garage.
