    Drunken noodles with prawns
    Wendy A.

I love their Drunken Noodles, so I ordered it again. The prawns were absolutely perfect! My companion got the Pineapple Fried Rice with Pork. The staff is always so pleasant! There's calm music (not Thai ethnic). Indoors, you can hear the restaurant's phone calls and prep sounds, but it's not a big deal.

    Fish in Mango sauce

First time here and it was a good experience. We shared fish in mango sauce , Nam Tok pork, and pineapple fried rice. Fish dish was big and it was very yummy! Nam Tok is very close to traditional nam tok (we did ask for it that way too). Pineapple fried rice was ok. It could use a bit more flavor. Service was really lovely and I love the interior decoration. One thing i didn't like was there was no AC at all (or did not turn it on) and it was a very hot day! If they could turn on the AC, that would have been so much better.

I had been here once ages ago and didn't really remember it. We sat outside last time so this was my first time inside. Last night my friend and I went and everything was really delicious, much more memorable. It really depends on what you order. I was looking for healthy non-fried options. I got the fresh rolls and the salmon bowl. Both were wonderful and then I cheated and got the fried roti too. Zero regrets. Kind attentive service topped off a great meal.

Pad Gra Prow, chicken, with peanut sauce and sticky rice.

We always order an extra side of peanut sauce because it's so good with the sticky rice. They could use better communication, but when you do get ahold of management about missing items they are very nice.

It was my third time here & I can't believe I haven't reviewed it on Yelp. My boyfriend & I came here for a nice Sunday lunch. I've been craving Pad Thai the past week so what better place than to come here! My boyfriend ordered the Drunken Noodles with chicken (his go-to order) while I ordered Pad Thai with chicken. I forgot how huge the portion sizes were. We both really enjoyed our dishes. The service was great, per usual. We were seated pretty quick right as we walked in & given menus and water. To end our delicious lunch, we ordered Mango Sticky Rice. The mango slices were perfectly ripe but we had a slight issue with the rice. It felt as though it crossed the savory line. The crunch of the crispy rice (pinipig) on top added a nice textural difference. Overall, a great place to get Thai food in Novato!

I'm glad they're here in downtown Novato. When you enter My Thai (II), you are warmly greeted at the door and you get a lot of nice touches of authentic Thai decor. It is tastefully appointed and a great place to meet friends, bring family or even date night. Their staff is friendly and service is surprisingly fast (more on this later). Their selections are very tasty. We ordered Yellow curry, BBQ duck (yum!) as well as Pad Thai which are a favorite of my kids. The food is DELICIOUS with authentic flavors. Note that it is not as spicy as "true" thai cuisine but then again this is Marin County where most have no idea of what true thai spice is all about. Also I have kids and there's no way that they could handle that. However I will go back on date night and explore that option. When we ordered our food came out really fast. The place has several tables and 2 front of the house staff. I'm sure it might be different is it was packed on a Friday/Saturday night but we lucked out that day. My family and I were so impressed with the experience we went for it and ordered 2 desserts. Fried Bananas and Mango sticky rice. Both were were AMAZING! Although the competing Thai restaurant is nice, this place is a much nicer overall experience. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND checking it out!

One of the best Thai Restaurants around! Waiters are always very nice and friendly, The place makes you feel comfortable and food well I just love their chicken coconut soup ! ( I tried seafood soup this time ) very good and tasty . What I would like to hear here is some Thai music while eating Thai food to feel a more complete experience!

San Rafael 4th street has a lot to offer - and it's worth checking these spots out. The storefront is inviting and the inside of the restaurant is clean and well organized and appointed. The wine and beer list has few choices - and I would encourage a little more local variety to make it inviting to a wine lover like myself. I was efficiently approached by wait staff and felt welcomed I ordered Pad Woon Sen, which I've never before tried. The food came quickly - a beautiful dish of thin noodles and mushrooms with onions and celery adorned with steak. I finished my plate. Perfect lunch portion. Attentive service. The taste of quality ingredients and pride in their efforts. I will add this to my go-to spots in San Rafael!

It included ingredients I've not had before (always a thrill!) including fresh coriander herbs and green-striped skinned Thai eggplant. Also included were delicately-flavored julienned ginger, vermicelli noodles. I also chose grilled salmon. The ambiance was lovely. There were about a half dozen 1-foot spongy squares on the ceiling that usually serve as sound dampeners. I'd recommend a few more to help with the sound level. The light fixtures are lovely--see photos. The patrons are very friendly and will make pleasant comments. Service was pleasant and attentive.

We checked their website to confirm hours of operation. It said they close at 8:30. When we walked in the door, we were informed that we were too late to be seated for dinner. WTF??? Instead, we were allowed to order take-out. NOT WHAT WE HAD PLANNED. We may not return. Recently, we went and had dinner. The food and service were lovely. When the check came out, there was a 15% service charge added - a first in many years of coming here and not noted on the menu, which I believe is a requirement or you can ask to have the service charge removed. That in itself isn't a huge issue because we would normally tip 20% anyway. The issue is that none of the staff mentioned the service charge and on the credit card receipt, the suggested tips were still the normal amounts of 15%, 20%, and 25%. If you didn't notice the service charge, you'd leave a normal tip on top of it. This feels a bit disingenuous as most places charging a service charge will reduce the suggested tip options to something like 3%, 5%, and 7%. Please review your receipt carefully if you dine here!

As you…read morecan see from the picture, the mango was all brown and looked rotten (this dessert was $11!). And the Tom Kha was super sugary and not all balanced - I had to add lots of lime, salt and fish sauce to make it palatable. Definitely will skip this place in the future.

This location seems to be a constantly rotating Thai restaurant…read more The location presents a couple major issues. It's a decent distance away from the downtown core so walking there is less convenient, not to mention you'd be walking along Washington where it can get a little precarious. The second issue is that there's very little street parking and you really shouldn't take a chance by parking in the lot across the street, which technically is only for the shops in the plaza. The parking is so bad that we're hesitant to even order takeout. The food itself is average, though admittedly we've only had a couple items off the menu. Basil eggplant was the best dish we had. Other than it being a bit oily, the flavors were terrific. The chicken larb is okay - not the best. The chicken chunks are too large and I prefer it more ground. The sauce was reasonable though. The pad see ew is definitely one of the worst we've had in town. No wok hei flavor and just overly sweet with only a single soy sauce note. The best see ew in town is at Lemongrass - try them both and I'm certain you'll agree. Lastly, when you order online there are no options for spice level and they do not allow order notes or special instructions. All of the food will come very mild, which isn't a bad thing if you don't like spice. For the rest of us, it's not great. Although it's a bit farther away, we'll definitely be sticking with Lemongrass as overall the food is better and the parking much simpler, plus you can indicate the spice level on the food here when ordering online.
