Their website discriminates against people who don't have cell phones, so you can't order online, and when you call to order, they never answer the phone, return calls, return emails. I don't trust their products, given how unprofessional their customer relations are. read more

I buy most all of my spices from this company and highly recommend them. Fast, reliable shipping and fresh, vibrant spices. Throw out those stale supermarket spices! Plus, you get to select from a long list for a free (sizeable) sample with every purchase, giving you the opportunity to try spices you've never had. Large selection and great quality. I grind my pepper and will never buy black peppercorns from any other place. read more

for those of you who have abandoned Penzey Spices because of their hateful rhetoric about conservatives, as I have, I encourage you to try My Spice Sage. I have been using them since I quit Penzey and I have been very pleased with their products and their pricing. They are my "go to" market for spices now and I'm so glad I have discovered them. read more

I purchased Habanero Powder online from My Spice Sage a couple of weeks ago. It got here about a week ago and I opened the package and tasted it. (I grow Habanero Peppers and make my own powder from them, but this cannot be used in making things to sell from a home kitchen in my State...I know what Habanero Powder should be.) This stuff that was sent to me tastes like 1/4 Habanero Powder and 3/4 windowsill dust. It's awful! Didn't even make me sneeze to open the package! I wrote a note that day to Customer service asking for a return for refund and have heard nothing from them. POOR PRODUCT/POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE...try Savory Spice online...they are a truly good outfit...they just didn't have Habanero Powder! read more

Great place to find hard to get spices, etc. Always fresh. I have never been disappointed with anything yet. Fast delivery, as well. A+

BEWARE My wife and I have been a customer of myspice for 2 years and have never had an issue until now. They have great products but if something happens to your order do not expect a resolution. We ordered coffee steak rub from them a month ago and never received it. We called many times and IF we got a hold of someone they dismissed us and said they would call back but never did. After a week of trying to get a hold of someone and getting nowhere we have given up and are no longer going to keep their products in our stores. We are lucky we only placed an order for 10lbs of coffee rub so we only lost $280 but once a company disrespects you as a customer its time to move on. read more

Pari, who does my facials, recommended Nigella Sativa for pain relief from personal experience and from the experience of others. She gave me some to try and to share w/ Alan. Once I tried it for a few days I decided to order a quantity of it to share w/ him and w/ Tammy. You take 1 teaspoon, ground in a spice grinder, on an empty stomach. You don't have to wait to eat afterwards, but I generally do because of my morning routine. I went to the Penzy's site and saw I could order 10 lbs. That seemed like a better idea than buying several small jars. The order was fulfilled by My Spice Sage. It arrived today, well packaged w/o waste. Delivery was quick, relatively speaking. Not Amazon quick, but I didn't need that. Shipping was free. I'm pleased. read more

I ordered from them online. I was looking for some good quality cinnamon for baking and for health purposes. I know there are cinnamon pills in the store. But who knows what is really in them. I rather buy it as a powder and drink it. I ordered two different types of cinnamon powders (Ceylon and Saigon Vietnamese) and Ceylon cinnamon sticks. With my order, I received black lava sea salt for free! The shipping was super fast. I ordered it Sunday night and it came today(Wedneaday). I have used it in my smoothie and it is amazing. The Saigon has more flavor and punch than the store bought stuff. I am making breakfast bars and all you smell is the cinnamon throughout my home. I'm going to put it in my breakfast drink (ADV, lemon juice and water) to give me extra health benefits. I am glad a stumbled across them! The price was also very nice for what I received. 4oz of cinnamon sticks is a lot. I for whatever reason didn't think it would be bit that's ok because they will be used. Can't wait to use the black lava sea salt. I've never heard of it or seen it so this should be good. If you are looking for good cinnamon at a nice price, this is your place. read more

My Spice Sage - Ceylon cinnamon, Saigon Vietnamese cinnamon, Ceylon cinnamon sticks and black lava sea salt. - Herbs & Spices Near Me - Yonkers, New York

I have been shopping here on line for about two 6 years. This spice center is awesome! I love the free sample that is 1 oz, so generous! I have purchased many spices after having tasted them in a sample. The vandouvan curry is awesome!!!!!!!! read more

I've had My Spice Sage on my Bookmark List for a bit now and purposely planned a trip from where I work to Yonkers and see their inventory for myself. Rather than venturing to Yonkers, wanted to get a leg up and speak to a live person in advance and ask about whether or not they carry vanilla extract. Though pleasant over the phone, the woman said that they do carry Madagascar Vanilla. Great! Next, I wanted to make sure if their business hours are til 5pm. Yes. Except, the person on the other end, said that My Spice Sage is not a storefront and it's strictly an online business. That put a damper on the Vanilla that I really wanted to buy. I know online shopping saves time: it's 24/7 shopping, yada, yada, yada- I get it. But, I thrive on the visual factor and want instant gratification. I'm sure it's wonderful for many other things. Sadly, My Spice Sage doesn't provide any of it and for all those reasons, I'm out. read more

they do a great job of sending you the items purchased in timely manner and they have good pricing for their items. HOWEVER...if you have any questions for them don't expect a response...they never do. Because of those unanswered questions, I found myself buying from other vendors recently. read more

I have ordered from this company many times over the years and always been satisfied with the products and price. Never a problem. They charge MUCH less for spices than a standard grocery store. In fact I just ordered again. Give them a try! read more

When I couldn't find whole wheat flour anywhere... spice sage came to my rescue. I ordered in bulk and was grateful at the quality and quickness in which it arrived. The double bag ensured its freshness. They have such a large variety of spices and I will definitely be ordering from them again in the future for any hard to find items. read more

Cannot say enough about this company... it's online only, so be aware of that. Best prices, very high quality goods, free shipping on only $10 orders, and they ship very quickly. Amazing for both home and professional use. BTW -- if I'd gotten a note saying that a product was "delayed in testing" I'd take that as an amazingly GOOD sign from a spice provider -- it means that actually care about the quality of their products, and independently test what they get from suppliers -- something that doesn't happen enough these days. read more

DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS!!! I place an order back on March 20th, almost a month ago. They charged my card for $381 but never sent the order. I called and talked to a woman there who confirmed that my order was never sent, but they did charge my account and took the money. She said they would get back to me but never did and never credited my account. I have since left several messages but no one returns my calls. During these times it's more important than ever to call out the bad actors so that we can protect each other from businesses like this. Stay well and avoid businesses like this one. read more

You order stuff online, not listed as out of stock, a while goes by, no order update, no deliver, and then tell you it is out of stock. Totally lost my trust! I will not order from this place ever again. Should not let your customers order something that they will never receive. read more

I just order from them how long does it take to receive my package im in the US in Wyoming

The date of this review is 5/6/2015. I have recently discovered this spice house and I am glad I did. They specialize in exquisite and hard to find spices. My Spice Sage have a website that features their spices, and through their website, you can easily order spices. I have ordered twice from them, 4/18/2015 and 5/1/2016, and I am extremely pleased with the spice quality and their customer service. The spices are packaged using airtight heavy plastic bags and mostly shipped by USPS. I paid for my orders using PayPal. My Spice Sage ships free to anywhere in the US. The price of the spices are very reasonable compared to similar establishments. Their customer service is outstanding and they answer their E-mail in a very short period of time. A solid five stars is awarded to My Spice Sage! read more

The quality, variety and freshness of their spices is amazing, however, their customer service is lacking. Such a disappointment.

Ordered, paid and did not receive my order. I contacted the company after waiting 3 weeks they said it was in the mail and not their problem. Glad I placed a small order first to see how it went. I can't rate the product because I never received it, but the customer service is horrible. read more

I've been looking all over for clear jel and mulling/apple pie spice to get to me before Thanksgiving and just happened to come across My Spice Sage on Yelp. The shipping was really fast/free (~1 day) and the spices I ordered were fresh, pungent and fragrant. They made my pie taste awesome. This will definitely be my go to spice shop, especially since they stock staples and rare spices (like mace, a.k.a my not-so-secret apple pie spice). I highly recommend them. read more

Absolutely wonderful customer service. I can't say enough about how they handled my order issue. Completely satisfied long time customer.

This place used to be good. Lately, it's dropping in customer service and quality. I placed an order back in November and it has not been shipped. I sent two emails and no response. They finally responded when I asked to cancel my order. They said the USPS was delayed. That's a lie. I know they just printed the label but have not packaged nor shipped the order. It's been a month. read more

Quality is not up to my standards and packaging was partially open. There were particles of dust in the packaging.

Each time I order from this place I cannot wait patiently enough for the package to arrive! My post man loves when I order because my packages smell to great! I fell in love with the ground Grains of Paradise! I have replaced all my pepper shakers with GoP. The spices always arrive in the most fresh state possible. I look every month for new spices and exotic blends! The lime powder and citric acid have become a staple in my canning activities! The Basil is most flavorful and aromatic, California cut. The oregano is by far the best I've had and My Spice Sage beats the inflated prices of it's competitor Penz! read more

My Spice Sage - My spice Sage spices used to enhance the toffees! - Herbs & Spices Near Me - Yonkers, New York

In mid April I made an order from this company. There were problems with their website not recognizing my email address, and it then double posted my order and double billed me. They told me they had cancelled the mistake order and that in a few days I would see a refund. It is now 3 weeks later and I have not received it. I have been leaving messages and emails and while I did get a response the first time, I am not getting any responses now. I'm sorry to be having this experience because the flour I ordered came quickly and seems to be high quality. The "free" sample that is offered of another spice did not come with the package. I hope they will take care of this situation, and I will update this review if they do. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE- QUESTIONABLE PRODUCT SOURCING- I used to purchase from this company regularly, and noticed that they had recently changed the country of origin on a product I frequently purchase (Agar Agar). I have emailed multiple times for the last few months to inquire about where this is now being sourced from, and am apparently just being flat out ignored by the company. This agar used to be sourced from Chile and Spain, but now just lists this as generally being from Asian origin. I am avoiding products from Japan due to Fukushima radiation contamination, and would have really appreciated an answer. Now after such a horrible customer service experience, I have begun sourcing my agar from a different company that answers my inquiries in a timely manner, and is upfront about where their product is coming from. THE COMPANY IS ALSO NOT ALLOWING ME TO POST A NEGATIVE REVIEW ON THEIR SITE- it just keeps disappearing! Completely shady! read more

I've ordered from My Spice Sage several times during the last year or so. Spices have always been fresh, shipping fast and cost reasonable. Today I tried to order just a couple of spices that totaled about $8. When I went to check out, the "free shipping " that's plastered all over their site suddenly became a $3 "spice it up" charge. Why? Because orders under $10 are not free to ship. Nowhere are you told that other than when you go to check out. The "free shipping" mentioned on the website with no conditions is misleading and deceptive. If they deceive you on that, what else would they deceive you on? read more

Excellent spices, fast delivery and great customer service! I thought I ordered coriander, but somehow ordered cumin. I sent an email to customer service, and Pat graciously resolved the mix up. Happy customer! read more

I LOVE these spices, extracts, flavorings and herbal teas. The quality, reasonable prices, frequent 'deals' and coupons and lightning fast shipping makes this place an indispensable outlet for the newbie 'spicey' (spice speak for 'foodie') or the seasoned (pun intended) spice and edible plants fanatic. The ONLY reason for the four instead of five star rating, with Peace and Love, is their website: MySpiceSage, please apply the quality and comprehensive yet educated selection of your products to your website by improving account access and features, adding a 'community' blog so your customers can gush about your products and exchange recipes and the availability / transparency of posting reviews. Love this place!! read more

I ordered Cayenne Pepper over a week ago. Today I get an email saying "Thank you for your email and we apologize for the inconvenience. The product is being delayed in testing and we will not be able to ship it in time." Very unprofessional. If they have to test their spices before sending them out then I wonder what that says about their suppliers. read more

I ordered some coriander seeds. Some spilled and what is coming up is NOT CORIANDER. What is it.

I placed my fourth(?) order with them this past summer. I emailed them to say that there was a problem with website. I told them I got charged for two orders and I only really paid for one. Never a response from them. I will never purchase from them again. It's November and still haven't heard from them. There are other spice companies our there that are better, Penzey's customer service is excellent. I also noticed it is not a trusted Google store. I would get a confirmation when I ordered from them. I'm done with this store. read more

I cannot say enough about how amazing the selection and quality are! Not to mention the most reasonable prices I've ever seen! I've ordered a few times now and an extremely satisfied. I have ordered from My Spice Sage for several years. Their service is AMAZING!! Even with regular shipping my orders arrived sooner than expected. The spices are ALWAYS fresh and fragrant. They smell exactly as they should. I have never had a super strong spice mingle with the other spices so that the entire order smelled like the very strong spice. That has happened with MULTIPLE other online spice sellers. I know that I am getting exactly what I ordered at a fair price. I am never getting some cheaper spice or lower quality spice instead of the spice I ordered. Other sellers do that, but MySpiceSage does not. There just are not enough words to say how great their service and products are! They are THE BEST! read more

ordered on 13. now is 21..and not even shown as shipped when i tried to track says processing??

Not so happy with this outlet. Note that most of the spices are dried-- my own fault that I didn't read every word and missed that. But, more importantly, there were live bugs in my box, which really turned me off. No, they weren't in the individually wrapped plastic bags, but if there were, they would have suffocated and I might not have found them. It's in the back of my mind every time I use the spices. read more

After placing my order on Oct. 12th 2016 I had not received a shipping confirmation by Oct. 21st. I called in and while the person on the phone was very nice they could not tell me when my order would ship. Finally on Oct 24th I received a shipping notice and received the package on the 27th, a full 15 days after ordering. I ended up ordering the spices from another site so I could have the spices on time for the charity event I had to cook for. No notification of the delay and time of arrival has insured I will not be doing business here again. read more
