And out of all the ones I visit, Hmart is my top favorite where I can get my Asian and most Tropical Fruit/Veggie groove on, my Bubble Tea or a chocolate pastry from Tous Les Jours, in one breath. But now, my signals are sort of crossed when I stopped by Tropical Farm. I'm getting fantastic prices (on some items) such as green and sweet plantains (Maduros), ñame (yuca relative), Caribbean Sweet Potato, yuca itself and so many other vegetables. Intense, prepackaged herbs and spices that are commonly used in the Caribbean and in other Latin American countries, are also stocked here- and not the tasteless McCormick products. Good to know I can purchase a nice bulk of Caribbean products for my mom (vegetables and condiments), when she comes over on occasions. I will still rely on Hmart- I just have another produce location added to my repertoire... for certain things.

For a Mother's Day gift my daughter purchased 2 bottles of olive oil and 2 bottles of balsamic vinegar, it was a delightful surprise. Today I tried the Mission Fig Dark Balsamic Vinegar (I did not add oil) on a tomato and cucumber salad, OMG, it was the most deliciously, smooth vinegar I have ever tasted. (and I have had balsamic vinegar from Modena, Italy) I highly recommend everyone to try this vinegar. Tomorrow I plan to open the bottle of the Spanish Picual oil and try it on a salad.
