I don't live in the area but nevertheless I go out of my way to shop and tell everyone I.know to.go. 2 weeks ago I bought a honeydew, half an orange flesh melon and a watermelon.. I specifically said I wanted it ripe for that evening. The orange flesh and watermelon were good. The honeydew went straight in the garbage. It was not close to ripe. But 2 days later the orange flesh and watermelon.also went in the trash because they had turned rancid. Today U went back. I had every intention of making a purchase, but wanted to inform the store of the subpar produce ( that cost an arm and a leg btw) from my last visit. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. The person whom I can only assume is the owner. Is quite nasty. He claimed this has never happened to him in 43 years and that I didn't store the fruit properly and I should've called. He was quite rude and has a lot to learn about customer service. The staff however were very apologetic and could not have been nicer. He is lucky to have them, and I hope he treats them.better than he treated me this morning.

It makes Garth Road more self sufficient and city like than other areas. I am so glad they are here. Second, they always have what I need. Basil, shallots, organic apples, you name it. Prices maybe a tad bit higher but I love supporting these local businesses. They even have a wide array of fresh, beautiful flowers each day. My husband got me a bunch of lilies and they lasted the whole week, no problems. Finally, the service. They take credit card, Amex, and are always extremely helpful. Every time I walk in there I ask them for help finding what I need and they are more than eager to help me (and in every case they have what I am looking for). The other day I walked in looking for birthday candles. I was in a serious time crunch for a party I was hosting that evening. They didn't have them in stock, but the sales person happened to have a small package of beautiful skinny candles that she gave me free of charge. She absolutely could have charged me for them, and I would have paid it. But it's good service and a way to get residents back in the door. This place knows what it's doing. Please don't change!

Yes, they have great plants and produce…read more I come here for the apple pies. The best crust, like grandma or great grandma made. Better than Briermere. Yes I said it. Very flaky. Flavor. And the bonus? Most of the time they are still warm on the bottom. Just the apple. The other flavors must be made elsewhere because the crust is not the same. No, I'm not a fan of that other place, just not impressed. More impressed with a place way further up county but it doesn't matter. Westchester Greenhouse makes the best Apple Pie. Yes, I have busted into this pie in the car many times. Forks ready. The pie is still hot, folks. Seasonally, the apple cider donuts are the best anywhere. Yes, better than That place. And that other one up there with the mazes, and bouncy houses and things you don't want or need or have to pay extra to walk on their property. Donuts. That's what that line is about. It moves fast. They hand you the box in the line, they are hot. And with more apple cider taste than those other places too. Apple pie and apple cider donuts. Oh and Wave Hill breads if you can't make it to the farmers markets. Everything else is a plus. Plants. Produce. Wreaths. It's all good. I should buy raspberries from them and tell them to make be a custom raspberry pie with that crust they have on their Apple.

CTown down the block has horrible quality vegetables and produce, it was so bad that they were selling veggies and fruits with mold all over everything. Then we stumbled by this hidden gem, literally a 4 min walk away! Saw it was bustling with customers so we checked it out and was surprised how fresh and tidy everything was. Also super thrilled that MOST items are package free!! Which means we won't have to buy pre-packaged foods in bulk which tend to go to waste when we can't use all of it. And yes if you bring your own mesh bags that's a double whammy - great for the environment + less waste and plastic trash The meat section is also package free (order at the counter your preferred cuts/amount) and everything was tidy and neat. They had some meats that elsewhere doesn't carry - like pork neck, or thicker/yellow skinned chicken which we like to use for Asian dishes (not even Hmart had these). And they also had a deli meat/cheese counter. And I'm sure you can ask for specific cuts for dogs if you feed raw. Oh and lastly, prices are amazingly affordable. Of course you're not going to have a grand selection of items that you'd find at a big super, also there's no seafood section. But this is more than enough for basic grocery shopping, and everything is so fresh. More than happy to pay cash and support this small business that's doing everything right. Cashier was also very cordial and polite Not the exhausted/unhappy kind you find at typical big supermarkets.

Since I hadn't gotten home from work, the arrangement made the journey and placed on a small wooden bench outside my walkway in mint condition. I know those dull floral online companies whip up "arrangements" quick and sometimes flowers may not even look their best once you finally get them- but Station, topped it! Although I've never visited Station- I can tell these folks will make any arrangement look effortlessly beautiful. Since my favorite flower is the Hydrangea, my daughter went with that as the focal piece and for a small vessel, the arrangement was grand indeed. These folks treated my arrangement as art and each flower surrounding the star of the show, added more of a creative feel. I personally felt the overall arrangement was light, airy, rich and dense. I guess I should stop in and smell the roses.
