He didn't know what was going on and said Mike the owner would get back to me after he spoke to him. 7/25/25 - Got email from Mike with 2 small refunds to ensure transaction was verifiable and not fraudulent. Replied same day validating details. 7/30/25 - No response received via email so called again and spoke to Austin who had no idea on status of order and said Mike would call me back. 7/30/25 - Mike called back shortly thereafter and said email had ended up in spam folder. After a lengthy conversation he said everything was good and would ship out shortly since everything was verified. Later in the day I receive an email saying I had been refunded and the transaction canceled. I received a follow-up email from Mike apologizing saying "Austin Cannot find the items on your ticket. I a refunding you in full for the entire order. I will go to my storehouse this week and look for these items as well as any other cases that I have." As of 8/6 I have not received any other correspondence. Very disappointed with my experience at Dizzy and after reviewing online feedback it seems this kind of situation is a reoccurring event here. Poor customer service, honor and a lack of basic business ethics is saying it mildly.

Review Visit: June 21st, 2014…read more Some of my best friends discovered Dizzy Dugout when they lived near Collinsville, IL. So naturally, we all went next time we hung out. All I can say is Holy Hell that is a packed wall of merchandise. My friends weren't kidding when they said this place was impressive. Behind the counter is a ginormous wall of trading cards. Some I hadn't even heard of and some I haven't seen in years. When you walk in, it is literally a wall of product on each side until you get to the second room, then it's board games, comics and room to play on the tables set up. If you are adventurous enough, there is another room that is further back. Upon first seeing it, you would think it was an unused room with random stock in it... and it kind of is, but stepping back there, you'll see Final Fantasy VIII figures, anime VHS tapes, other anime figures from the 90's and manga. It is a time warp when you cross into that room. My friends and I keep finding new things every time we go back there that we missed the previous times. Overall, Dizzy is a fantastic store. If you are into that kind of stuff. The only real negatives is that the store is beyond cluttered and they had a roof leak, so it was musty the few times I have gone, but they have since fixed the leak. Awesome store with many treasures you can find, if you have time to look.

I cannot tell you how neat this place is. We went in to see what kind of board game selection they…read morehave and ended up staying to gawk at how cool they made the inside of their store. You would never know it from the outside--a former brick family pharmacy-- but they've transformed the inside into a medieval castle, with a common hall in the front and a room like a castle den in the far back. The owner realized we were first-time visitors and gave us a tour. Every time we turned a corner or opened the door, my mouth dropped. There are tables for RPG or tabletop gamers at the far end of the front common room/shop space, but there are also a bunch of tables in the far back den room--which, it turns out, they also rent out for private parties. The shop inventory looked like they had a lot of items for miniatures, RPGs, and Magic the Gathering. However, they also had a respectable board game area right up front. They can also order most games they don't carry, I was informed. In sum, nice place to browse for board games and a VERY cool place for a group to hang out--or have a private party! You MUST take a look into this gem of a shop.

Inventory consists of newer comics, trade paperbacks, graphic novels, art books, board games, trading card games, toy figures, statues, model kits, and model paints. Items not in stock can be ordered for you. There is a long wall displaying the latest issues of comics, and there are boxes of back issues. They focus on newer comics, so you will not find older comics here. If you plan to get an ongoing comic series, then it is recommended that you use the pull-and-hold service and create a pull list. Most comic shops offer this service and can reserve and set aside titles for you to pick up at your convenience. Pull lists and subscriptions help comic shops determine which titles and quantities to order for the entire store.

This is much more than a comic store. If you are looking for collectibles from pop culture, you have come to the right place. Throughout the store they have different figures and other toys. It's a simple cafe with delicious food and it's served as if it is a white linen restaurant. Yep, all tables have white linen tablecloths and napkins. All the wait staff are wearing black slacks, white shirts with black ties and looking mighty fine. I happened to be visiting on a Sunday during Brunch hours. I'm typically not a buffet kinda guy, but I was today. I thought by doing the buffet, I'd be able to experience many of their different menu items all in my initial visit. After saying I wanted the buffet, my server brought me a clear chilled plate for the salad and soup bar, which was included with the buffet. She also gave me a warm dinner plate for the buffet line. As I dined, she checked with me and when needed she gave me a clean plate for my next trip through the line. The variety of foods were impressive. They had a section with all the typical breakfast foods; scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits & gravy and potatoes. It all looked good, but I focused on lunch items. My first trip through the line was, a HUGE fried chicken breast, green beans and mashed potatoes with white gravy. It was some of the best chicken I have had in a while. The seasoning was great, it was super crispy and crunchy and the meat was juicy. Their green beans were made from scratch with bacon and onions. The salt and pepper seasoning was just enough flavor. Then real mashed potatoes and a true country white gravy. I was satisfied with that plate alone, but went back to try more. Second trip I had Mostaccioli that tasted as if an Italian grandma had made it. It was super cheesy and the right amount of Italian seasoning. Then I had a couple Catfish Nuggets, General Tso's Nuggets, Mac-n-Cheese and Roast Beef. I was getting so full, I didn't even get anything from the soup and salad bar. I was seated close, so I did take a peak and it had a good variety of offerings. I'll be sure to try it on my next visit. My server was stellar. She was very attentive and friendly. I liked that the entire staff were dressed as if they were in a 50's diner or perhaps an upscale restaurant being the black & white. It's the Centennial Celebration of Route 66 this year. That should give you reason to go eat at the oldest restaurant on Route 66, which is The Ariston.
