A friend and I came in to buy a smaller chess set. The store has a huge portion of space dedicated to RPG figurines and books. There are also several tables for RPGs or to play a board game. I loved the "library" of playable games in store. I thought that was pretty neat. The store offers a good selection of newer games and expansion packs. Some of the prices on those games were extremely competitive; others not so much. There isn't much in the way of classic games, however. We found two chess sets with only one meeting the criteria. The mark up in price on that set was insanity. Like, you could easily order the same set, brand, etc. for a fraction of the cost they marked it as. We looked it up in store and found it for $8 online as opposed to the $24 it was in the store. That's a huge mark up for a cheap little travel chessboard. If they had more selection of classic games or card games, I would probably go back. Maybe I'd go back for some of the well-priced games, but I just can't see spending 3 times as much for some of the items here. We were there for 30 minutes easily and never had an interaction whatsoever with an employee. No greeting, no offer for help, nothing. It wasn't busy in the store, so I'm not sure what that was about. I can say, this store would be cool to try out a game with a friend before you buy. read more

I stopped in for my first time just a few weeks ago looking for a specific card game. I found what I was looking for at the same price it was selling for on Amazon. Others have made remarks that the prices here are more than online, so just do your research before you buy. This store is located on Watson is a small strip mall. There is plenty of parking in front. There are 2 distinct areas in the store- one side for playing games, and one side for buying games. There were very few people actually browsing for games, but there were many full tables of people playing games. This store offers so many games to play for free- they are just on the wall ready for you to grab and play. I asked for help in finding a specific game- the cashier looked it up in the system and Ihad an answer in minutes. Later I asked another employee where a game was and she immediately located it for me. The service here was great! I can't wait to come back and play some new games for free (sure beats buying a $40 board game only to find out you hate it). read more

One of the better game stores I ever been patron of. Easy to say because they carry the games I have or will play. They carried Castle Ravenloft, but hoped for more of an Axis and Allies presence. My husband and I have been to Game Nite several times. Each time, we've been greeted by an employee, and offered help in finding a new game. The employees are very knowledgable about the games they carry, and have helped us pick out several new games. They listened to our preferences, we told them what games we have and haven't enjoyed, and we've always gone home with a new game we absolutely love. I've also participated in their weekly "Game Night" event, where people come together to play games. I came in knowing NO ONE, and never having played any of the games that were being played at the time. I was welcomed into their groups, taught how to play their games, and felt totally included despite my lack of experience. If you want to find a good board/card game, or want to meet and play games and make new friends, Game Nite is the best place for it! read more

These folks will rip your kids off and sell them inappropriate products. My son, age 12, went to Comic Con in New Orleans. Game Nite had a booth there and sold him Cards Against Humanity for $49.95 That was just the basic set that is available online for $25 (with free shipping). The box is marked, at several places, with a notice that the game is intended for persons 17 and over. Game Nite, seeing a child with a fist full of Christmas money, decided to join the ranks of drunks who buy 6 packs for teenagers for a $5 tip and janitors that dole out $1 cigarettes to 8th graders. Don't let your kids go here, and check every prospective purchase online first to make sure you're not being ripped off. read more

Game Nite is a cool little spot to buy board games and test new games. They have a set of tall shelves in 1 corner with games that you are able to borrow and test play. I was a bit disappointed with this selection because they did not have any of the games I really would like to test play before spending the $50+ on a new game. The store's game selection for purchase is fairly reliable. They have a fairly large section dedicated to playing games including large tables for setting up RPG tabletop games. This area gets quite warm as soon as it get half full or more due to poor air circulation and ventilation. read more

This place is wonderful in as many ways as that word can be used. Staff is approachable, kind, and vastly knowledgable in all areas games. My wife and I had originally visited to pick out a new game but we were a bit intimidated by the selections, they helped us pick out a good one, matched exactly our preferences. My low rating may be because I was expecting something different. I went there to participate in a few board games, because I find them relaxing and fun. I'm not out to win so much as have good conversation and a good time. The folks I met up with were not interested in conversation much at all, but were very serious about winning the game. That's fine; it just left me a little cold. Did not really look at the products for sale, as that's not why I went to Game Nite. I haven't returned to play any games, but am certainly willing to patronize the store if I'm in the market to buy some games. read more

This is by far the best Magic The Gatherering and board game store in the city! It's such a nice store and the single best part is they have a computer database with every card in their inventory. Just approach the computer search for the card you want then add it to your cart and when ur done hit check out and walk up to the front counter and tell them you placed an order on the computer and they will gather your cards and check you out.
