He didn't know what was going on and said Mike the owner would get back to me after he spoke to him. 7/25/25 - Got email from Mike with 2 small refunds to ensure transaction was verifiable and not fraudulent. Replied same day validating details. 7/30/25 - No response received via email so called again and spoke to Austin who had no idea on status of order and said Mike would call me back. 7/30/25 - Mike called back shortly thereafter and said email had ended up in spam folder. After a lengthy conversation he said everything was good and would ship out shortly since everything was verified. Later in the day I receive an email saying I had been refunded and the transaction canceled. I received a follow-up email from Mike apologizing saying "Austin Cannot find the items on your ticket. I a refunding you in full for the entire order. I will go to my storehouse this week and look for these items as well as any other cases that I have." As of 8/6 I have not received any other correspondence. Very disappointed with my experience at Dizzy and after reviewing online feedback it seems this kind of situation is a reoccurring event here. Poor customer service, honor and a lack of basic business ethics is saying it mildly.

All I can say is Holy Hell that is a packed wall of merchandise. My friends weren't kidding when they said this place was impressive. Behind the counter is a ginormous wall of trading cards. Some I hadn't even heard of and some I haven't seen in years. When you walk in, it is literally a wall of product on each side until you get to the second room, then it's board games, comics and room to play on the tables set up. If you are adventurous enough, there is another room that is further back. Upon first seeing it, you would think it was an unused room with random stock in it... and it kind of is, but stepping back there, you'll see Final Fantasy VIII figures, anime VHS tapes, other anime figures from the 90's and manga. It is a time warp when you cross into that room. My friends and I keep finding new things every time we go back there that we missed the previous times. Overall, Dizzy is a fantastic store. If you are into that kind of stuff. The only real negatives is that the store is beyond cluttered and they had a roof leak, so it was musty the few times I have gone, but they have since fixed the leak. Awesome store with many treasures you can find, if you have time to look.

When I walked in the door I was promptly greeted by the owner who was very friendly. He asked me if I needed any help. After I told him I was interested in a RC helicopter he asked me several questions about what I wanted to do with said helicopter. After he showed me several model and options, he then let me test fly them. What kind of store nowadays lets you test something out before you buy? I quickly learned that flying a RC helicopter requires a lot of skill that I currently don't have so I decided to wait to determine what I really wanted. I will definitely be back here to buy when I'm ready. P.S. during my research of trying to determine which route to go I discovered A&R Paints & Crafts' prices are the same or better than most on-line retailers. This proves why you should shop local.

And to top it off, the women who worked in the jewelry part of the store found the appropriate chain, jump rings and strung all the crosses. I had assumed that I would get the supplies and spend the afternoon making necklaces. I was wrong, now I can admire the handiwork of others. All of the chains were gift quality and I will give some as gifts. If one needs a bead store with excellent service, go to Schaefers.

Weather during our holiday break was dreary gray. But road conditions were good, so we looked for…read morenew experiences. K-10 Model Trains was at the top of our "to try" list. The approach is through what you might think of as a small "warehouse district" in Maryville. You park, walk through the front entry, and find a model train hobby shop on the right. The operation is "cash only," and looked like the hobby shop I remember from my hometown. Just beyond the store area is the doorway to a very large room in which a large model train layout has been constructed (dimensions are 60' by 70', according to the website). There's a little cash donation box, if you're motivated to contribute to the cause, which I was. But no one put any pressure on me to donate. It being the Saturday afternoon before New Years Day, the place was pleasantly crowded with mainly men and boys running the trains. We met up with a regular named "Jack," who gave us the history. We spent about 30 minutes watching the action. But if you were fortunate to control a train, considering buying one, or even dreaming about constructing your own layout, then I imagine you might want to stay a long time. I've never seen so many train tracks together...ever! This is also a store where you can actually buy trains and everything you need to go with it! This is like a professional train persons store; like seriously...serious train person! It's actually quite extraordinary and I'm not a train person.
