We have never had any issues with a mice or rats in our home but recently I found a small mouse in our kitchen. I got worried that there would be more hidden in our home. Tony came out to help with a rat in our wall along a shared border with our neighbor. He was able to quickly assess the situation and then custom build a one way trap that allowed it to leave but not get back in. The same day the trap was placed was the last time we heard the rat. He then provided me tips on how to close the gaps and how to get rid of the odor in the crawl area from the droppings. All things I can do myself. WOW. You can really tell Eric knows his stuff. I called him to ask for an inspection because we saw a rat in our garage. His communication was very clear from the start. He asked all the right questions and we set up an appointment for a complimentary inspection. He arrived on time at 8am and did a walk around the house with one of his Associates. After the inspection, he showed me the problem areas where rodents could enter under the house. I asked him for a quote and he said, "If you have a handyman, it's going to be substantially cheaper to have them fix this." He said the rodent was probably a one time incident due to an open door and was on his way. Honest, caring and an excellent communicator is how I'd describe My Rodent Guy! Incredible service! Eric and Tony stopped by to see best way to "evict" a family of raccoons living in our roof. They quickly scoped out the situation and set a plan of action. Tony did a great job of setting up the trap and sealing up a few options that might have been access to the family once they "moved out". Tony was on call overnight in case any of the raccoons injured themselves and came by early the following morning as one of the 4 baby raccoons was stuck and left behind. He managed to get him loose and set him up in a crate to wait for the mother raccoon who, as Tony reassured us, came by to pick him up that following night. I'm so happy that I called My Rodent Guy and spoke to Eric, who then sent Tony to give us an estimate for getting a mother raccoon and her babies out of our attic. A couple days later Tony came back and set the one way trap on the vent and sealed all entry points with raccoon proof mesh. Houston, we have a problem. Let me put it this way. I do not like critters, creatures, crawlers, bugs, dirt, dust, smog, ants, skunks, raccoons and definitely not RATS! My poor husband Peter had to hear me screaming and hollering, freaking out when I announced, "something is creeping around in these walls!" I've never dealt with a mouse or rat in my personal space so I pull out all the tricks. This is where it gets comical. I got the blow dryer and put it up against the wall to "scare away the critter". Then I got the lawn blower. Next, I got my handheld back massager and simulated a "wall earthquake" to scare the thing away. I got my blue tooth speaker playing a high pitched tone to scare the creature away. I told my husband to call an exterminator. He calls a few places with high ratings on yelp who were so blase and said 'everyone is dealing with rats and mice in San Francisco and we're booked out for 2 weeks '. Ummm, I thought, that doesn't make me feel better'. This is where My Rodent Guy comes through! We called Eric, the super informative, experienced, patient and professional expert! We must've called him at 3pm the day before and he was at our house within 24 hours. He gave us 2 hour window and texted us his accurate ETA. Awesome. He walked through our property and neighbor's garage to find the rodents point of entry. My husband said Eric was looking very observantly and accurately for multiple entry points. I called My Rodent Guy after reading several 5 star yelp reviews. We recently found rodent droppings in our crawl space under the house, with a foul smell and lots of flies. Eric was easy to communicate with and quick to respond. He came out to do a free inspection and quickly identified our rodent problem, possible points of entry, and recommended the best course of action. Although Eric's company doesn't do the work required, he spent a good amount of time explaining our situation and recommended some companies that could do the work for us. I appreciated the time he took to offer his expertise and felt very relieved for his honest opinion. Another vendor said my house needed $2k worth of rodent proofing but Eric walked the perimeter of the house and pointed out that we only needed to patch up 2 small areas - easy fixes that we could easily do ourselves. Even though I did not end up using his services. Eric came by to assess my backyard situation. He is informative, experienced and honest. He is observant and told me what type of rat was making my backyard a thoroughfare and playground at night. Mind you I am next to a park, near a grove of redwoods and there are fruit trees around. Very disappointing experience. I called and made an appointment and Allen who answered my call was strange. He kept me on the phone and fumbled, jumbled on my call while he did who knows what. He seemed to not know how to book an appointment and the call left me uncomfortable enough that once having the appointment, I thought I should confirm the day of. It was the same thing. He couldn't tell me whether he booked the appointment or not, and fumbled, with a tremendous amount of noise on the call while he had me waiting again for a long period. I had a terrible smell come from under my house right before Christmas. We crawled under looking for the source. No luck, but definitely smelled like an active decomp. Figured no one would come out till after the holidays, I started burning candles and running my Dyson air filter. Called MyRodentGuy on Jan 2 and I was scheduled that afternoon. Eric and his partner were great. I learned more about rats and their behavior in that appointment than in my whole life. They didn't see any evidence of entry points around my house. Or evidence of active rats. Seems I had a lone rat that was now dead because it was trapped with no food or water. Eric said it probably came in when the garage door was up which is very possible. The dead rat wasn't found by them either, but Eric had some magic potion which immediately helped with the smell. We were half way through decomp and it would be over soon. Even though they didn't find the dead rat, I felt relief knowing there weren't more live rats and my house had a few areas that could be tightened down, but overall was pretty tight. Eric and his team were great! We were pretty sure we had a raccoon under the house and called My Rodent Guy because regular pest control doesn't do wildlife. Eric was able to come out just a few hours after I called him and was able to confirm that it was a raccoon, but not just a raccoon a pregnant raccoon! He sent me an estimate that same day and was able to come out just a couple days later to take care of everything. I rarely need a rodent person but the last time the team didn't provide any clean-up services. Every time I would go into my lower unit storage area I would still see the droppings on a steep slope that is hard to reach.
