They had a station at the front entrance as well as on the way to the garden where you can have some tea and a light snack of trail mix. Wife and I both chose the Osmosis-fusion massage. The provider who I had, Josh, was great! He asked checked in with me and then I told me if something doesn't work, let him know. He used a good amount of pressure, and started slowly so I can get use to it and I didn't feel tickled at all. Some parts of it did have a lot of pressure where it hurt a bit, but it felt good after. I'm pretty sure he felt me tense to here and there, but Josh was attentive to it and I think when he wanted me to request, instead of talking me, he just took deep breaths and I did it as well and try to stay loose. All in all, it was very enjoyable The tea ceremony was nice, it was a tea with peppermint and some other ingredients, mixed with some enzymes to promote better digestion. They're was a smaller garden outside of the tea room to be able to enjoy as you sip your tea. The cedar bath was great. I had one experience before, but I enjoyed this one better because it also had a view of another garden. The lady who took care of us was attentive as well. The only complaint was there was a fly going around that got kind of annoying, but other then that, the cedar bath was great. The cedar bath is a very unique experience and felt grounding and comforting. It was indeed special and a unique experience and it is something I will likely come back for. Now the not so positive...the showers and changing rooms are quite small and very well lived in. The shower curtain had a mold like smell and considering how immaculate the gardens are, I am surprised they have not invested some funds into updating the indoor facilities, especially because the services are priced fairly high. I went on a Monday and my locker room wasn't busy but I can imagine it may get busy on the weekends because they are small and do not have much room for more than 1-2 people at a time. My massage was mediocre at best. I regularly get Swedish massages and do not require a lot of pressure but the massage therapist was very gentle and at times I felt like I was being softly pet and not massaged. I asked for more pressure five times and after that it started getting awkward for me. She also did not ask me if I wanted my scalp massaged and did this at the end and left my hair quite oily. I normally agree to the scalp massage but did not want to wash my hair after. In all the massages I have had, the therapist usually asks before using oil on the scalp. Finally, I paid the upgrade fee to have my massage in the Pagoda. It was a hot day so the therapist kept the door open and then later shut it due to bugs. After I left I counted (and took some pictures which I will spare the internet) of 9 huge mosquito bites. It's been 12 hours and I am still itching! I think I will give this spa one more shot because of the cedar bath but I may skip the other services.

It's a quiet office with a large hallway restroom, complimentary coffee and teas in the waiting room. Being within a Dr's office, it was clean and felt safe and serene. I received the 90 min hot stone massage and opted for the CBD oil add-on. My neck, shoulder and arm pain is something that comes and goes. At its worst, I feel radiating pain and achiness that can continue for several days and disturb my sleep. This time, instead of "enduring" it for several days (and whining to my husband) I booked an appt with Linda. Online booking is super easy and convenient. If you don't know what type of massage you want or need, it's OK! Because Linda will ask you and adjust as needed. When I told her my symptoms, she included some trigger points and stretches! Ahhhhhh She definitely focused on my neck, shoulder and arm (main complaint) but did not forget the rest of my body! ( I didn't realize my lower back and legs were also tight!) The CBD oil did not smell and was a thick oil. She told me not to shower tonight. The only bad thing about CBD oil is that if it gets in your hair, your hair looks super greasy. So bring a hat if you need to go somewhere afterward. Not sure if it was the CBD or the actual massage, but I slept really well and did not wake up multiple times, as I had been doing! My neck and shoulder felt so much better, very loose and I no longer felt the deep radiating ache! I plan to do bi-weekly appts with Linda, as part of my self-care routine!
