There were several spots to sit and have a quiet moment on the property and there was tea and water and nuts available in multiple spots. I had the cedar bath followed by the fusion massage. The cedar bath is a very unique experience and felt grounding and comforting. It was indeed special and a unique experience and it is something I will likely come back for. Now the not so positive...the showers and changing rooms are quite small and very well lived in. The shower curtain had a mold like smell and considering how immaculate the gardens are, I am surprised they have not invested some funds into updating the indoor facilities, especially because the services are priced fairly high. I went on a Monday and my locker room wasn't busy but I can imagine it may get busy on the weekends because they are small and do not have much room for more than 1-2 people at a time. My massage was mediocre at best. I regularly get Swedish massages and do not require a lot of pressure but the massage therapist was very gentle and at times I felt like I was being softly pet and not massaged. I asked for more pressure five times and after that it started getting awkward for me. She also did not ask me if I wanted my scalp massaged and did this at the end and left my hair quite oily. I normally agree to the scalp massage but did not want to wash my hair after. In all the massages I have had, the therapist usually asks before using oil on the scalp. Finally, I paid the upgrade fee to have my massage in the Pagoda. It was a hot day so the therapist kept the door open and then later shut it due to bugs. After I left I counted (and took some pictures which I will spare the internet) of 9 huge mosquito bites. It's been 12 hours and I am still itching! I think I will give this spa one more shot because of the cedar bath but I may skip the other services.

They have a beautiful garden with flowers, sunlight, and mature trees. My boyfriend and I booked massages here for a Saturday afternoon. After a peaceful, pretty drive along wine country roads, we arrived at Healing Oasis. We parked our car next to their studio, then walked behind the studio to their house and garden. We heard wild bees as we approached, walked past an almond tree in all its pink glory, and looked out to a gorgeous view of the countryside. We spent 15 - 20 minutes in the outdoor hot tub before starting our massages. Gail gave me the best massage I've had in years. She was courteous, thoughtful, and professional. I don't have any injuries or therapeutic issues, so it was just a massage to feel good. Her massage was more nuanced and relaxing than anything I've experience in a long time. Their prices are very reasonable: $100 for a 90-minute massage, including time in the outdoor hottub. This is vintage Sebastopol - outdoorsy, serene, beautiful, a little off the beaten path. As for the gate that was mentioned in a review that is a couple years old by now, it is no longer an issue. The gate was not fussy at all, it was very straightforward and easy to operate.

Maria is a truly gifted at this technique-- which has been so much more effective than all the massage, chiro, acupuncture, PT I'd received prior. She was present with me and my body the entire time I was with her which is amazing since many sessions were for 90 minutes. After each session I could feel my body opening up and I had more movement and energy. It is more helpful then a massage and makes a lasting change for the body and mind. i highly recommend Maria and if you have never received this type of work and only get massages go once to see the difference. It js just as relaxing most of the time as a massage even more-so but is helping loosen the tight fascia that causes restrictions in our body and how we move in the world.
