Jennifer has been my provider and she's fantastic. She's knowledgeable, easygoing, and makes the whole experience fun. If you can catch her on a Thursday, I highly recommend booking with her. I see her for Ayurvedic health counseling. She combines an almost encyclopedic knowledge of…read moreAyurvedic medicine with an extraordinary intuitive connection. It is clear when you are talking to her that her knowledge of Ayurvedic medicine is deep and broad. And it's also clear that this knowledge has helped her to grow, and that it can help me, the client, grow. But on top of that she will stop in mid-sentence, say "I'm feeling something", or she'll say, "just a moment.....", take a second to reflect, and she'll share something about my experience that she intuited, and that I hadn't yet come to realize. When that happens, I'm there listening to her, and I'm already impressed by what she's sharing about Ayurvedic medicine and its applicability to some aspect of my life, and then she'll do that pause and share something that she just felt and I'm thinking, "Holy cow!" I've been in the presence of a lot of healers, and I've never been so impressed by someone's mastery of technical knowledge who simultaneously pulls from a deeper awareness of where the person sitting across from her is at.

The night before her appointment my daughter told me her nose was starting to run and she thought she had allergies. The day of her appointment, it progressed very quickly to a full blown cold and her nose was really runny. She was concerned about being in a headrest and also about getting the massage therapist sick. I called to see if we could reschedule and was told it was not possible but my daughter could still come in and wear a mask on the table! I explained how terribly uncomfortable that would be and was told there are no ability to reschedule. My daughter was very much looking forward to the massage and since I live out of the area it was an important gift to help her release some of her tension. I asked to speak to the owner and gave my details and was told the owner would call me back. I never heard back and called again on May 13th, 7 days later, and asked again to speak to the owner to try to find a fair resolution for the situation. I was told the owner would call me back but have not heard back from her today. The impression that I get is that they do not care about my business. And if they don't care about my business, they don't care about your business. You may want to rethink using their services if you think you may ever be sick or have an emergency and have to miss your appointment. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of care of the owner of Jaiyen Spa. If I could give no stars, I would.
