I almost never leave reviews but this time I had to. I've been coming to this business for years and each time I've left satisfied and happy with the way that my eyebrows have turned out. However today at around 1:50 PM I got my eyebrows done with a young woman who was straightening her hair when I walked in. She made my eyebrows uneven and extremely thin. Today I went and got my eyebrows done with Sam. She was nothing shy of amazing It was my first time getting my eyebrows done. She made me feel very comfortable and at ease. (Yes I was nervous ). I was able to get the right shape to make it as natural too. The faculty was very clean. The staff was helpful. I was happy to see that I wasn't the only male in the store. I walked in to check Perfect Brows out, but had to leave to drop my sister off for her class, and I didn't want to spend any more money that day. On the way back, I got a flyer for...FREE EYEBROW THREADING as a grand opening special. This is a sign!! I must drive back and try them free threading! The decor is very beautiful and the store is dainty and cute. Hala helped me with my brows, and I specifically mentioned that I still wanted natural looking eyebrows and not to mess the ends of my eyebrows because they are sparse and other threading places messed them up already. She took notice of that, and did her stuff. I wish she was a bit more gentle because I was trying my best to go with the flow of her hands moving my face around and listen to her instructions to hold this and that, but she seemed a bit harsh when replacing my hands or moving my face around. The salon I go to in La Jolla put brow powder after, but they don't offer that here. When I inspected my brows after, I thought that she didn't do a bad job, nor a great job, but a good job. But for getting them done for free? I'm a happy gal. At least they were cleaned up and maintained. Plus, my older sister liked them. Meheh I'm glad that she is confident in her work, but I really don't like it when people become overconfident in their abilities and say that I should go to them and only them. But really, $9 for brow threading, especially in this Long Beach street, is a pretty good price. read more

My first experience getting my lashes done. Aysha was fully knowledgeable and listened very closely to what I wanted. She made my First Lash experience definitely one that I would recommend to anyone. I also had my eyebrows done let's just say I cant stop looking at them as I had some weird blotchy bald spots hoping one day they would grow back but Aysha did her magic and took the focus away from the blotchy spots with her amazing work. I had high hopes for this place based on the reviews. Good points: place was nice, the woman who did my brows was very friendly, they did not leave me looking like a chola. Bad points: I left with no shape, they are uneven in the middle, and I look like my 8th grade school picture. (That was '84, not trying to bring that back) I did the tint for my brows, threading and also my lip. 34 dollars. I can't wax due to skin sensitivity, so I go for the threading. I have never once come out with bad eyebrows, but I am vocal about what I want when I sit down (no thinner, trim and clean up). I have had two ladies, Malta and another I believe starts with an N. I have blond hair and sometimes they don't realize that I actually do have a lot of it and in sunny Long Beach, it glows. When I et under the light the ladies say yes you need a clean up (not in a mean way, I'm blond, sometimes you can't tell from afar) I like that they use a thinner thread, I find it hurts less. My eyes always water, and they are always concerned to make sure I am ok, and offer me a tissue. About 6 months ago, my right eyebrow were hacked off somewhere else and I am having a heck of a time regrowing it, I always mention this and they are careful to not go thinner, but make the brows as even as possible I also like the little forehead/temple massage that they do when they put the lotion or aloe on, I swear it makes my face less red! Everyone and a while I am asked if I want tinting to which I reply no thanks I color them when I put makeup on, and I am never asked again the entire time. Two thumbs up! read more

Been coming here for tears in and off to get my eyebrows threaded and i was there last week right before i took a trip and it was the worst decision i made. I got horrible breakouts in between my eyebrows post threading noting that i dont have acne and I NEVER BREAKOUT. Even my boyfriend was shocked by it. This time i also decided to give the eyelash left and tint a try and i wish i never did. My lashes were not lifted instead were curled in that it looks like i dont have upper lashes anymore. The process was painful the solution got in my eyes and it was burning so bad. To make matters worse she brushed my lashes with Caster oil at the end and its a knowing fact that caster oil will blur the vision when it leaks to the eyes. I was driving home with m burning eyes and a blurry vision. That was a waste of $85 + i got me ugly pimples in the middle of my face right before going on vacation. never again. Okay so I've been here numerous times. I really like this place because it's so close to my hair salon. Now, I've had really bad experiences here and some really good ones. The good ones is why I'm giving it it 4 stars. I was going to Swati for a while. I showed up last year and I was told that she was no longer there she had moved to Texas. I took whoever was available that day. And my eyebrows came out okay. The next time it was time for my hair and eyebrows. Again this place is accommodating I never have to wait but I did just take who ever was available because I didn't know who to go with after Swati left. My eyebrows came out terrible. I walked out of there depressed sad I had to have them like that from thanksgiving my birthday Christmas and new year until April when I returned to get them redone after my hair sort of grew back. It's still not the way I wanted. So this time I went I did read the reviews and I requested Ripal, I told her my bad experience there and that I requested her due to her YELP reviews. She tried to fix my eyebrows and suggested some things. She did know what she was doing and was very nice about it when I told her my previous experience. I'm going to continue seeing Ripal from now on and continue reading the reviews to see who is a perfectionist and who has the most experience in making that perfect brow for me. If it's your first time here read the reviews and just don't walk in and take who ever is available. The only reason I continue to come here is because my hair salon is right next door and for convenience. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded at Perfect Brows for about a year now, and although it is more painful than waxing, it is definitely worth the pain. All of the ladies there know how to shape your eyebrows in a way that best suits your face without making them too thin. A lot of places end up over-threading/over-waxing my eyebrows, which I hate, but at Perfect Brows they follow my natural brow shape and clean them up while maintaining their thickness. I've gotten a facial here as well, which I enjoyed and found to be very relaxing, but it wasn't special enough that I would want to do it again. I typically get my brows threaded and laminated here and I am always happy with the results. They are really professional and know exactly what they are doing when they laminate. Threading is always painful for me especially with my sensitive skin but they are quick and my brows are perfectly shaped after. I like how with the brow lamination service, the threading comes with before for FREE! So nice because then I don't have to worry about them being cleaned up. Also I have thin brows so they only thread what is really needed. I want a fuller look so they give me exactly what I want with a nice shape. I totally recommend coming here! Never really loved this place but used it a few times because of convenience. They were never actually friendly then today locked their door before closing and wouldn't let me in with multiple workers inside hanging out waiting for close. There are plenty of other threading studios to utilize no need to ever come back to this one. I have the correct business. My phone said 6:54 and I told whoever was at the register that there was 5 minutes and she shrugged at me. Poor business practice in my opinion. I completely understand if I were to walk in and request something that may take 20+ minutes asking to come back at another time. But I have never taken longer than 10 minutes with paying for an eyebrow touch up. All in all I would just like future customers to know this is not a place you can try to run into if you are close by 5-10 minutes before close. read more

I have been going to the Perfect Brows location in Newport Beach for a year now, and had no idea they have a Long Beach salon as well! Placed just off of 2nd Street in Belmont Shore, this location is small but efficient. They were busy on a Saturday morning, with about 10 ladies in front of me. They do not take appointments for threading, which is first come first serve. Fortunately, the queue moves quickly-I only waited about 20 minutes. Syeda did an amazing job on my eyebrows. If you have never had threading before, it is a hair removal method that does not require the application of any products to your skin. Using a precise technique, the tech is able to shape your brows into a, well, perfect shape with minimal pain. I will not lie and say it is completely painless-there are a few moments where it feels like having a rubber band snapped above your eyelid. But overall, it always looks better than waxing or tweezing. They accept all credit cards. Highly recommended. read more

I used to LOVE perfect brows. I'm sooo sad to leave this poor review! I've been coming here for years rachanna was my original brow lady & she always made my brows BOMB! She's gone, so I started going to Aysha. Ayshas days are all mixed up bc every time I come in they tell me something different. So I settled for someone else today, such a poor choice. My eyebrows are so thin I cried in the car. & I was very very specific in telling her to just clean and shape..... now it'll be a year before they grow back, if they do. Just heartbroken.. Then the owner replies to this review some generic message about how awesome all her staff is.... clearly there is an issue if multiple repeat clients are leaving poor reviews. Now the manager comments and says I have a vendetta against the company, how could that be when I left a previous (2years ago) that was excellent! I have been going here for years with satisfaction. However, the last time that I went in, the normal sign in sheet was not there. There was a big yellow "scan me" picture of a code. I am 59 years old I have not run into anything like this before. (Apparently you take out your phone go to your photo app like you're going to take a picture hold it up to this QR code and then the name of their establishment pops up you're supposed to tap on that takes you to their website you have to scroll around pick what you are there for and fill out a sign in sheet on your phone) I told the lady behind the desk that I didn't understand. She said something to me completely unintelligible and not in a kind way. Her accent was just so heavy I could not understand her. She made no attempt to help me. The guy behind me quickly showed me how to do it and as I was as I was typing in the last part of the digital sign in sheet on my phone she told the gentleman and his girlfriend behind me to go ahead of me. I was literally done one second after she said that. It's not like I was taking forever and confused. It was the normal amount of time for a person who was encountering a new sign in regime. A couple of minutes at most.But now the wait was so long to be seen and I had an appointment to get to so I had to leave. I found it extremely rude to let the people that came in after me go before me just because it took me maybe 1 to 2 minutes to figure out their new system. So I went back today. I believe in second chances. The same lady was there and I told her and the other woman that appeared to be the manager what happened and that I was not happy with it. The woman that had been rude to me said she was sorry BUT There were so many people in the shop that day she didn't hear. So she admitted no wrongdoing and she made absolutely no sense. The woman that seem to be in charge whispered to the person taking my money to take off a dollar. With no comments or apologies from anybody that appeared to be management. So I got a dollar off and nobody admitted that they thought they had done anything wrong. I tried to give them a second chance but I'm not going back. I've been searching for a new place to get my eyebrows threaded and I decided to give this place a chance. Overall experience was great and the service is a plus! Swati took into consideration what I wanted for my brows: clean and reshape, she also checked to make sure I was okay. After the threading, she dabbed my brow area with rose water.
