The greatest little pawn shop in Virginia Beach, very friendly owner and staff.

The staff are nice and will welcome you with smiling faces. So, finally after a little over two years the Rolex watch I ordered arrived. I was so excited I couldn't wait for tomorrow. Then tomorrow came and Ms. Tamara showed me the watch. It's so beautiful I was speechless. It's a Datejust 41 Blue Roman Dial with Jubilee Bracelet. What more can you ask for? However, this purchase "may" have a part 2. I fell in love with the same datejust watch with diamonds. Hopefully I get another call in less two years. In my opinion Finks is the best of the Beach. After several visits over the past few years I highly recommend them for not only purchases, but for servicing Rolex watches.

I walked into the store at Hilltop and was approached by a rotund, middle-aged woman with black…read morehair who asked if she could help me. Her attitude was aloof and condescending. I was reminded of Julia Roberts' treatment by stuck-up sales associates in the movie 'Pretty Woman'. I told the large, black-haired woman I had a pocket watch that I wanted someone to look at for potential repairs. She stated they (Fink's) don't work on anything that wasn't purchased at their store. I found that to be a ridiculous policy but took her at her word. I told her that last time I was in Fink's, a young lady associate had been more than helpful getting the jeweler to remove the back from this very watch. (I wasn't sure how to remove it and didn't want to damage the time piece.) She went on to say "they (the Fink's jeweler who opened my watch back) shouldn't have touched it". I assured this portly, black-haired lady I would not be 'bothering' Fink's again and left the store. On the previous occasion I remembered thinking I was lucky to have such a knowledgeable and gracious jeweler in my neighborhood. But after the older, larger woman treated me like I wasn't good enough to be in the store, I made a vow never to go back to Fink's for anything! There are simply too many other jewelers around who are willing to be kind and polite while I spend my money with them. I have read a number of other 'single-star reviews' on this site and notice a consistent theme: Fink's seems to have a significant problem. They are apparently content to have potential customers run away by some members of their staff who lack common decency and a basic knowledge of customer relations. I will be sure to share my experience with everyone I know who is looking to purchase jewelry or have their jewelry repaired. By-the-way, it occurs to me that a jeweler who can employ a full-time repair person who works 'exclusively on items purchased at their own store', must be selling sub-standard jewelry in the first place. A fulltime employee's salary would inherently require a lot of jewelry needing repairs. Thank you (Fink's) for demonstrating how NOT to treat customers. You never know who's walking into your store - or who's walking out. My money will be plenty green-enough for another local jeweler in the future.

To reset the diamond on my 1930s engagement rings isn't a job for everyone - the man who did the ring clearly knew his jewelry and I felt comfortable with him fixing the ring. To reset the diamond cost $25. The diamond was reset on the spot. The gold necklace/chain needed to be relinked and this had to be kept for a few weeks. To fix the small chain it cost $15. The links were extremely small so I was super impressed that they were even able to fix it. The customer service here is great - whether you're on the phone with them or face to face. The only reason this place doesn't get 5 stars is because my chain was kept a week longer than promised. In the future I will be fixing all of my jewelry here.

Also told me if I decided I needed another link out or needed any back in he would do so free of charge. All the people in the store were extremely friendly and welcoming, not to mention the beautiful and various things they carry in the store (aside from jewelry of course!) I will be returning here for future jewelry needs and would recommend this place to anyone, you won't be disappointed!
