For my first and now my second pregnancies I go to Jennie's prenatal yoga on Wednesday nights. When I went for the first time in 2022, I knew I would love it. I took her class every week for more than half of my pregnancy. And now I'm just a few weeks away from delivering my second and I am just so thankful for Jennie to be part of my journey. When I went to class with my second, I was met with a hug and the warmest welcome back! I just love her. And I LOVE this class. I live about 25 minute away and it's worth the drive. The energy, warmth, acceptance and solidarity is just to wonderful and I am grateful to have this though out pregnancy. Jennie make everyone feel so at home and comfortable. Her energy, caring, kindness and general vibe lets you know that you belong and you're not alone. I love that we go around the room when class starts to share and ask for advice and then we move our bodies in such a kind and gracious way; the room is truly full of acceptance- for each other and ourselves and that is all because of Jennie.

Amey patiently showed me multiple breastfeeding positions, including the cradle hold, football hold, and side-lying position, and taught me how to let my baby naturally latch without forcing him. Her guidance was gentle, encouraging, and easy to understand, which made all the difference. She also made a point to include my husband throughout the appointment, showing him ways he can help with positioning, support, and working together as a team to make our breastfeeding journey successful. On Friday, June 18, the person went to the spa for his massage. He expressed his sheer disappointment with the quality of the massage. No effort to provide a massage that would engage the muscles to improve. Like a baby being patted-- no effort. I was furious. Paying $100 for a massage when I could have purchased a massage anywhere else for much much less. My care was top notch: they spent time with me, asking questions about how everything was going with the pregnancy, if I needed anything and they made me feel heard and understood. I love all the midwives I've worked with while there. Giving birth at the birth center was great because I felt free to choose what I thought worked best for having my baby without the vibes a hospital gives me, and it was more relaxed and homey. My midwife at the birth was helpful with finding positions around the facility to help me continue laboring beyond the typical on your back position. The tub and shower were definitely my favorite spots. After having my son during golden hour, the midwife made cookies and gave us a few while we were bonding with our baby. You wouldn't get that in a hospital. When our next one is on the way, we'll definitely go back for care from Babymoon!
