Happy cafe pancake house menu
Paul M.

The food was very tasty but I had potato pancakes and hash browns I should have had the fruit option I turned it into a skillet which I don't want. The wait staff was very nice and always checking on me they are definitely 5 star. The restaurant is nicely setup for a family to eat together and very comfortable. The staff not thing I guess is happening everywhere now is if you use a credit/debit card there is a 3.99% fee added I rarely carry cash and now Iam paying for it. LOL

Had a gem of a time in Diamond, IL brunching at this Yelp find! The plaza and restaurant look relatively new, and the menu has pages and pages of breakfast and lunch options like pancakes, waffles, skillets, all the popular egg dishes, hot and cold sandwiches, soup, and salads. Kids' menu has all the favorites for $4.50-6, which comes with a drink. The mac and cheese appears to be Kraft or something very similar. My Philly beef panini had very crisp, crunchy bread, and the meat was piping hot. The base price had a small cup of soup included, but you can upgrade to a deluxe meal which includes a side of choice. The portion was very hefty, and I left very full! The table also gets a bread and cracker basket at the start of the meal. Friendly service and roomy interior. Thanks Yelp!

If you are passing through on I-55 I highly recommend you detour a few minutes to come eat here. I got this massive, tasty breakfast for under $20. The service was fast, friendly and attentive. The place was clean and a lot of parking.

The Knight and The Bible…read more On a drive up to Chicago to catch a vacation flight, we stopped at The Cup and The Scone to get us caffeinated for the rest of the drive. We got there about 30 minutes before close and the barista was super nice as we ordered our drinks. Emily got a caramel latte and I got the.. you guessed it... an iced americano. We also grabbed a blueberry-lemon, cranberry-orange, and birthday cake scone. While we stood there as the barista was making our drinks, we chatted her up a bit and we were able to get a few free stickers from her. She said they don't use them all too much and was happy to give us two each. Once we got our drinks, we took off to the upper part of the coffeehouse and promised we wouldn't be too long since they were closing soon. Before we headed upstairs, I took some photos with the suit of armor that is by the counter. When we got upstairs, I was surprised to see another suit of armor, so I took a photo with that one, too. The Cup and The Scone specializes in a lot of gluten-free products and a small bit of religion. I don't know if their entire menu is gluten-free but as someone who's mom is gluten sensitive (and I will probably be at some point), the care about GI issues is great. As for the religious stuff, if you don't see the occasion bible strewn about the place, you'd honestly never know. But, their website seems to support helping people and I think that also is super great as this world is getting rough and scary. Any who, Emily and I really enjoyed our drinks. The americano hit all the right notes and Emily was delighted with her latte. We were split on the scones. I really liked the birthday cake while she really liked the cranberry-orange while we both thought the blueberry-lemon was just alright. We held true to our promise and dipped out before 2pm and hit the road. If I find myself in Pontiac for some reason in the future, The Cup and The Scone will definitely be my spot to get some americanos.

I was initially drawn to this spot by the big knight in shining armor that I saw on Yelp (I'm a big…read morechess fan) and then pleasantly surprised at how cool this place is. The decor really makes this spot, with lots of fun themed signs throughout the restaurant. This definitely gives it a different and more fun vibe than the average coffee house and the upstairs loft is cozy to hangout in as well. The coffee flavors and preparation are quite good here -- flavorful, and made with high quality ingredients. I also enjoyed the mini scones, with a nice texture that was soft but a little more firm than a muffin. Overall, definitely worth a visit if you're in Pontiac. Great vibe and delicious food.

Checked out this coffee shop that has a pretty cool science fiction theme and is chill. Gost is one…read moreof the unexpectedly good finds in New Lenox. It has a pretty strange location that makes it seem out of place. Just don't judge it until you go in. The prices are pretty okay for being coffee that's local and independently owned. Basically the coffee is the main thing of course. It's got kind of a small selection but they only make the best stuff. There's the basics like the lattes and a few of the specialties too. Actually can be good to not be too complicated. It's about $5 to get a specialty coffee, which isn't that bad to be honest. Also has bags of coffee beans to go. The last time in here I got the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Latte. Like drinking cereal. They also have a few pastries. It's about $2 for a croissant. The Vegan Curved Croissant is one of these. Fluffy and still has a buttery flavor. There's also a few breakfast sandwiches. Finding it can be complicated. It's located in a building on Schoolhouse Road. There's also a pizza place in the same location so after going here you can go there.
