Awful and rude! Watch the "service fee" added to your check BEFORE tax. When I asked about it I was pretty much told to go pound sand. I didn't even eat, just boxed it up and left. My waitress was really great though, it was the owner at the front who ruined my day. read more

The staff was fine, but the food was not. I ordered open beef roast sandwich. The meat was tough, the gravy tasted like, well, I don't know what it tasted like, but it wasn't good. Instant mashed potatoes. Ewww. read more

The food was very tasty but I had potato pancakes and hash browns I should have had the fruit option I turned it into a skillet which I don't want. The wait staff was very nice and always checking on me they are definitely 5 star. The restaurant is nicely setup for a family to eat together and very comfortable. The staff not thing I guess is happening everywhere now is if you use a credit/debit card there is a 3.99% fee added I rarely carry cash and now Iam paying for it. LOL read more

First, don't be put off that it is in a strip mall. The seating is quick, and the space is roomy. Our waitress was quick and professional. My wife got the Triple Berry French Toast - she said there has just too much cream cheese icing, but the berries were good. I got the 2 pork chop breakfast - 2 eggs, hashbrowns, with pancakes. I was expecting 2 little pork tenderloins, but got 2 huge pork chops that took up the entire plate. It was all great, and I was quite full. And after dining in Chicago for several meals, the price here was GREAT! read more

Had a gem of a time in Diamond, IL brunching at this Yelp find! The plaza and restaurant look relatively new, and the menu has pages and pages of breakfast and lunch options like pancakes, waffles, skillets, all the popular egg dishes, hot and cold sandwiches, soup, and salads. Kids' menu has all the favorites for $4.50-6, which comes with a drink. The mac and cheese appears to be Kraft or something very similar. My Philly beef panini had very crisp, crunchy bread, and the meat was piping hot. The base price had a small cup of soup included, but you can upgrade to a deluxe meal which includes a side of choice. The portion was very hefty, and I left very full! This is a somewhat hidden gem in coal city! It's a little restaurant tucked away from the main road. I grew up in Shorewood and this restaurant reminds me a lot of Crispy Waffle and The Southern Cafe, which is fantastic! They definitely need to expand to give the check out and servers more room to walk during busy weekends. Very few places can cook my eggs the way I like them! (Over hard without any burnt egg pieces) very yummy and definitely will be my go to place now that I moved to Braidwood. Love it! read more

We came here for the biscuits and gravy and it did NOT disappoint!! Creamy and full of flavor and the biscuits were just a little crispy (like they were fried on a hot skillet. DIVINE. We ordered the fried chicken. It was not edible. It was burnt to where it dried it out and you couldn't chew it. When we told the waitress, she let the guy know that was at the register. So let me start off with its bright, warm neutral colors but inviting. Was greeted and just for kicks figured I'd ask for a certain waitress, just pointed out one, I've never eaten here btw.Got breakfast, very large menu like a book but more to look at. Waitress was nice, smiled and greeted us (2 people) she kept our drinks full and when I asked for more sugar she brought me a cup full of packets. I use a lot of sugar. We ordered quite a lot of food. OMG the biscuits and gravy are excellent, steak was cooked perfectly and french toast with pecans, bananas & caramel (I highly recommend if you want a big butt). Asked for corn beef hash to be crispy and it was! A little pricey but you know good food isn't cheap. So it was worth the $. Our waitress was awesome she brought me to go boxes and a bag and I didn't have to ask. Yes, my eyes were bigger than my stomach. But I'm not cooking later now! When checking out was told our waitress was new and her first day. Our coffee cups were full and so was the soda we got. Well worth the money when you get a good food and a happy waitress who can do her job right. Some staff looked like they hated to be there. (Just a hint FAKE IT!) The kids chocolate chip pancakes were a disgusting mess there was chocolate everywhere and they placed the bacon on top of the chocolately mess instead of in its own container cuz it was a to go order. The hostess said, "is that all you are going to eat?" To me that came across as rude and it wasn't even for me. Online it said it was $4.20 and she charged me $5.50. $1.30 is a lot for tax. Unless they are one of those places that charge more for to go orders. And the little girl that it was for said the chocolate chip pancakes didn't taste good. She said she didn't want all that chocolate on her bacon and that the bacon would have been good without chocolate on it. I will try it one more time next time for eat in. read more

Came back to town to visit some friends and they claimed this place was legit. They were not wrong. Got the gypsy skillet and I'd give it a 8/10. The waffles and omelettes that my friends had looked good. Must've tasted good too cause they ate all of it without offering me a bite. Rude, but I'll look past it. Service was superb. Waitress scored 25%. However, the Country Fried Steak was very, very poor. Gravy had a queer flavor, kind'a sweet but weird. Way not normal. Would not order again. Person #2 said Biscuits & Gravy were barely warm. Assumed the COLD plate they were on was the cause. Disappointed. Person #3 said the sausage was bad tasting and decided not to eat it or order it again. Collectively if this was our first visit it would have been our last.
