My granddaughter lives this place. (She's 11 months old.) Her mother likes the free play periods that come with the classes. It is more social than area music classes, which is good for both child and accompanying adult. It's good to have an indoor activity during this very hot summer. read more

My son attended MyGym in Park Slope 2-4 times a week from the time he was 14 months to just over 18 months and it was FANTASTIC. Not only is the space a toddler's dream, but the staff is so sweet and engaging, and it's incredibly easy to get in touch with Evan, or speak to an actual human being if for some reason the very user friendly website doesn't have the answer you're looking for. Even though it's a franchise, the experience is personal. My son was always so excited from the second he stepped on the elevator to the minute he burst through the doors. Although we dropped our membership for Spring, we just went back for a little Pop-Up Play and everyone called out his name like the little regular he's become :) I can not recommend it enough. We love My Gym! Fun, organized, clean, and safe. Also has stroller parking inside which is helpful and convenient. They offer all sorts of classes for kids of all ages. Our toddler loves the music they play and instructors. We started with the half hour play time to check out the space and loved it. Now we are enrolled in the weeklyn tots class. Our baby has lots of energy and this helps him sleep more soundly at night. Highly recommend if your looking for an active, educational, and fun addition to your routine. read more

The staff at My Gym was incredibly helpful and supportive when I needed to cancel a scheduled event (my daughters birthday party) last minute (because she broke a bone at a playground the day before the party was due to happen). They made a very stressful time easier by providing excellent customer service with genuine compassion and care. We've been bringing our 6 month old son here for a month (4 classes). Each week the activities and skills have been different--we love the variety it offers. We also love that the teachers are always prepared and work to get every kid involved, even the shy ones or grumpy ones. My daughter is a super active, very energetic child. She loves all of the different activities they offer as well as the "skill sessions" that are present in every class. Competitively priced, you get a lot for your money... unlimited open play sessions, mymo socials, outdoor events, and even a parent's night out once a month. I took my son here for a trial class and he was hesitant and scared and wouldn't let go of my hand. By the end of the class he didn't want to leave. I enrolled my son for the classes and he loves it! As a parent I love the atmosphere, the friendly staff, and cleanliness. My son hasn't started daycare yet so this is a very nice transition for him. He gets to pick up on a few social skills as well as discover new activities to do. In addition, Practice & Play classes in the afternoon are fantastic for getting your little ones tired before bed time My Gym has a great make up policy. If your child isn't feeling well or you cannot make it to the class for whatever reason, they will reschedule for another day! Overall, this past month of taking classes has been a very pleasant experience for both my son and myself. I cannot stress enough how great the staff are with the children! Clean, fun, and engaging. My wife and I took our daughter here for a trail class and we all really liked it - enough so that we enrolled in the program on the spot. The trainers who work there are great with the kids and with the parents. I would strongly recommend My Gym to anyone in the area. As a note: parents must wear sock and children must be barefoot. We joined My Gym Park Slope when our son was a little over 15 months, just as he began to walk, and it has been the best decision for us! Now at 20 months old, our son absolutely LOVES My Gym. We have recently upgraded to the unlimited membership and it is 100% worth it. Our son was a climber before he was a walker, and the My Gym space was just the right fit. We tried other similar play spaces and activities using Kidpass, but for us, My Gym membership makes the most sense and has been the most fun for our child. Evan, the owner, and his staff are amazing -- they are truly loving, enthusiastic and engaging. They never "dial it in" -- and this makes all the difference. Our son has socially blossomed at My Gym -- he loves all the teachers and the other children, and is so happy to run around from one activity to another. The structure of the class is great -- the class transitions smoothly from one event to another; the teachers make sure each child gets a chance to try a skill, but nothing is drilled for too long for the young children to lose interest. (As a side note, we as his parents have been going with him all these months and we are not bored either LOL) Our friends are always commenting on how agile and fearless our child is -- a lot of it has to do with all the free-spirited climbing and various "skills" he is able to practice at My Gym! We cannot recommend My Gym Park Slope enough. Evan and his team are stellar! read more

Had a birthday party here for my 2 year old and everything was great! We loved that the whole gym was exclusively reserved for our party. The staff was friendly and attentive - great with the children games, high energy and adept at keeping the pace of the party going. Everything is relatively new and clean. We joined My Gym when our toddler was barely a year old and continue to be ultra enthusiastic members as our kiddo approaches his second birthday. When we joined, our baby could barely walk and he didn't crawl at all! A year later, he runs, crawls, climbs, and throws himself around like a champ! The classes at My Gym have grown with him, always stretching him to discover new ways to move his body in a safe, fun, social, and supportive environment. Our son looks forward to his classes here every week and even sings the My Gym theme song to us multiple times per day ;). I love having such a fun, engaging, interactive class to take him to each week where he can burn off some of that NON-STOP toddler energy!! We just had my son's 5th birthday party here and it was fabulous. The facility is well-lit, spacious and immaculate, including the party room downstairs. The staff did an amazing job developing a fun, age-appropriate and engaging series of activities and mixing in just enough unstructured but supervised free play. I had told them in advance that my son is into superheroes and they organized the gym portion of the party around that theme. The staff were friendly, professional and extremely helpful. My son has been going to My Gym from almost 2 years. The classes and skills they learn progress with their physical abilities (he began when he was less than a year old). They also become more and more independent. The teachers are all wonderful. We have been to multiple gym classes with different organizations and the teachers at My Gym are the best! I went to a party there on the weekend. The kids had a great time and the staff were very engaging upstairs in the gym. I thought the food part was extremely rushed. As soon as they passed out the pizza they brought the cake not leaving time to eat food or cake before we were rushed out. I would have been disappointed if this was my party. read more

Went to a party there today. While the actual party in the gym area was fine, the second half was horrible. I felt terrible for my friend who paid the big bucks to have her party there, and the staff basically pushed the guests out the door. The kids were barely done with their pizza and they were already throwing out the pieces of cake. My kid literally had pizza in her mouth when the manager was telling us the party was over! They need to either work on time management or be more flexible. Wouldn't have a party there. read more

I was a guest at the party mentioned above and indeed while the gym part was fine, coordinators managed to mess up the schedule, bringing kids down for pizza and cake 20 minutes before the projected end of the party.. however, they didn't seem to want to take responsibility for their own mistake.. 20 min later one of them screamed out "the party is over! Your favors are over there.."... poor kids were still eating pizza, not to mention the cake that was already thrown on the table. This is unheard of... 1.5h parties are being done everywhere all the time, this is definitely not an excuse. Also not enough seating was provided - kids were squished together like sardines around a table. Unfortunately we had to leave the party before my kids have even tasted the cake. It seems like this place has a long road to master their party making skills and change their attitude. I would def go somewhere else. read more
