    I returned a vehicle after putting a little over 6 gallons in it. It was after hours and I dropped…read morethe key off in the box. 2 days later, I get billed $56 additionally on top of my rental fee. I called this them and told them I am being overcharged and a lady picked up and told me I'd have to call uhaul's 800 number. Makes no sense to report it to uhaul when you are the one I am having the dispute with. I called uhaul. Uhaul is saying that storage 290 was claiming I returned the gas tank on 1/4 but received it almost full. That is literally impossible as I used 90 miles and the odometer shows that. But they're claiming I used that much gas. The uhual lady confirmed their vehicle is about 15 mpg; which adds up to exactly how much gas I put back in the vehicle. I told the lady, how can I use about 150 miles worth of gas in 90 miles? Even when I filled the tank, it wasn't even half way. The uhaul customer agent saw what I was saying made sense. Take a guess what uhaul did? You guessed it; they called 290 storage. The exact same thing I was trying to do in the 1st place. She got off the phone with storage 290 and said the lady kept saying she double checks everything. That doesn't answer the question as to how the odometer shows I used 90 miles but the gas their claiming was used is about 150 miles.So uhaul is now transferring this to their district manager to investigate. I will update my status. Long story short... don' use this place. They tried to overcharge me $56. I will report them to the BBB if I don't hear back soon. Update: Literally, 30 minutes after this review was posted, the owner emailed me and told me she would look into my concerns. About 15 minutes after I got that email, a district manager got a hold of me and did refund me the $56. In talking with him , he did admit that based on the miles I drove the needle shouldn't have moved more than 1/4. I am changing my rating from a 1 star to a 3 star. I can't give it higher than a 3 star based on what occurred but I will give credit to the owner. She was swift in responding and very professional to me and uhaul did correct the mistake.

    Hello to all! I felt so compelled to write a few words about…read moremy experience with the Public Storage facility on US 290 in Cypress,Texas. From the first conversation I had with them while still in Dallas; until actually arriving there has been absolutely wonderful. I have been speaking with Miss wonderful herself.....Quanica. From our first conversation-I chose not to search any farther in deciding on a storage facility (and she was the very first one on my list!) She was that good....She anticipated my needs and did so in such a professional and kindly fashion that it left a lasting impression on me indeed. I had such a complicated move and when I finally arrived at her facility-and met her in person- I felt an actual feeling of relief because I just knew Quanica was there and she would help me no matter what!! What a sign of pure professionalism and accomplishment on her part. There were two young girls training that day-Cassie and Amena I believe their names are. What happy and upbeat gals!! A smart decision on bringing them onboard in my opinion:-) The whole experience from my first phone conversation- to finishing the unloading process into the actual unit has been made so much easier by the amazingly, unwavering and accommodating skills of this remarkable woman...God bless you Quanica....and thank you.     I rented a unit at Public Storage, and while there were several issues, the biggest problem by far…read morewas the pricing and lack of communication. The elevators were out of service over an extended period. Like I came one month, there was a sign on the elevator. Next month, same sign smh. On one visit, only one elevator was operating, and it stopped while we were inside, requiring me to press the emergency button for assistance. Biggest issue for me, within three months of renting, my rate was increased by 52%, which is excessive by any standard. I called to complain, left a message about the increase, and requested a return call. No one ever called me back. Instead, the increase was reduced by $5 without any explanation or follow-up. Since I live out of state, I paid the higher rate, but once I returned to Texas, I cleared out the unit. But damn, at least give customers six months to a year at the original contract rate before increases occur and when they do, a 50% increase is wild and crazy work! Between the aggressive pricing, lack of communication, and ongoing maintenance and security issues, this location was not worth continuing to use. Also, the entrance gates were also broken a few times, which raised concerns about security. I was relieved once my belongings were removed from the facility.
