Hello to all! I felt so compelled to write a few words about my experience with the Public Storage facility on US 290 in Cypress,Texas. From the first conversation I had with them while still in Dallas; until actually arriving there has been absolutely wonderful. I have been speaking with Miss wonderful herself.....Quanica. From our first conversation-I chose not to search any farther in deciding on a storage facility (and she was the very first one on my list!) She was that good....She anticipated my needs and did so in such a professional and kindly fashion that it left a lasting impression on me indeed. I had such a complicated move and when I finally arrived at her facility-and met her in person- I felt an actual feeling of relief because I just knew Quanica was there and she would help me no matter what!! What a sign of pure professionalism and accomplishment on her part. There were two young girls training that day-Cassie and Amena I believe their names are. What happy and upbeat gals!! A smart decision on bringing them onboard in my opinion:-) The whole experience from my first phone conversation- to finishing the unloading process into the actual unit has been made so much easier by the amazingly, unwavering and accommodating skills of this remarkable woman...God bless you Quanica....and thank you. I rented a unit at Public Storage, and while there were several issues, the biggest problem by far was the pricing and lack of communication. The elevators were out of service over an extended period. Like I came one month, there was a sign on the elevator. Next month, same sign smh. On one visit, only one elevator was operating, and it stopped while we were inside, requiring me to press the emergency button for assistance. Biggest issue for me, within three months of renting, my rate was increased by 52%, which is excessive by any standard. I called to complain, left a message about the increase, and requested a return call. No one ever called me back. Instead, the increase was reduced by $5 without any explanation or follow-up. Since I live out of state, I paid the higher rate, but once I returned to Texas, I cleared out the unit. But damn, at least give customers six months to a year at the original contract rate before increases occur and when they do, a 50% increase is wild and crazy work! Between the aggressive pricing, lack of communication, and ongoing maintenance and security issues, this location was not worth continuing to use. Also, the entrance gates were also broken a few times, which raised concerns about security. I was relieved once my belongings were removed from the facility. read more

Absolutely do not rent from this Public Storage!!! The gate is broke every other week. Carts are either missing or in poor condition. Couldn't even access my unit today because the elevator is continually broken. No stairs to access your unit. Totally unacceptable. Not to mention they've upped my rates twice within a year!! Nobody on site to help you with any issues. Only thing you can do is leave a message. read more

Customer service was horrible and very inconsiderate to my time. First off, the hours are wrong on the app; that needs to be corrected because I wasted gas two days in a row. Also, the rate of this place is astronomical. It starts at a reasonable price, but the longer you keep, it goes up over the price it's worth; I was paying 2x the amount I started. Also, as a former college student, pleasssse don't waste your money here; find a smaller place to spend your money here. read more

AVOID PUBLIC STORAGE, JUST DONT DO IT. This month marks one year of having a storage unit with them. Rent last September was $187/month, now it's up to $312/month. every 3 months the rent increases, since my storage unit size is unavailable to rent, this latest increase was significantly higher than previous increases. Im guessing they don't like customers to stay very long, or they know they have you by the balls And know what a hassle it is to hire a moving company to relocate your things that you'll just pay the outrageous monthly rent to avoid the headache. STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS!!!!! read more

Just don't rent with Public storage! they do progressive rent increases the longer you are with them. If I repriced my unit as a new customer the rent would be 50% lower than staying long term. I encourage people looking at renting with Pubic Storage to seek out a smaller storage company..This company is a nightmare! I can get my life out soon enough... read more

Total rip off Company. My rent I signed up for was $16 then they raised it to $50 then the next month they raised it again to $55. So if you are ok with starting out at one price and within a few months having them raise your rent over 300% then this is your place. I moved my unit right next door and saved tons of money. They are also never in the office and say they are somewhere else on the property,there are never any carts and you have to take 30 minutes to go find one and the app to use the elevator does not work in The elevator because there is no signal in a metal box. Daaaa great design guys. If I could have left a -5 stars I would have but 1 star is the lowest I could leave. Don't take my word for it go to the location and ask some renters what they think. Everyone will feel as if public storage screwed them royally with the massive constant rate hikes awful management ,etc. read more

First off my original rent was 125 and within a month my rent went up to 165. Moved out from the unit on March 1st and because I did not move out the day before, they are asking me pay a full month's rent. Total rip off :( read more

Horrible company with rude employees. First of all, they advertised a 5x10 climate controlled unit for $36. I reserved online, loaded my trailer, and headed over the the facility. Went to check in and was told my lock wasn't good enough, had to purchase one from them. Bummer, but just a one time fee so I paid. Then was told I had to have insurance on the unit before I could move into it. Obviously I'm ready to move in with a trailer load of crap in tow, so I have to purchase their insurance at $11 per month. Dirty business, rude punk employees, and will never use them again. If your gonna advertise a deal, advertise the entire deal. read more

The place is clean and well maintained. The staff polite and helpful. my complaint is that they do a month to month lease, lure you in with a low rate, then continuously raise the rent every few months. My rate has gone up 4 time in less than 2 years. getting close to being double what it started out as. read more

Pricing is deceptive. The price varies, depending on where you located are when you search for a unit. There were two price increases in less than 12 months. I reserved a first floor unit for a specific move in date, but when I checked-in, I was given a second floor unit, with no forewarning or explanation or Before I moved a single item into my storage unit, I decided to rent a larger unit, the first month free offer was not honored on the larger unit because I was considered an "existing" customer. I moved out on the 2nd of the month but was charged for the full month. There are only 2 elevators for 1200 units and at one time, one or both elevators are frequently out of order. I would not recommend Public Storage based on my experience. read more

I have been with Public Storage for years and they never disappoint. My daughter needed a small storage space to store some of her personal items. The process was so user friendly and a breeze. On her live in date we went to her storage which was one of the smaller units that is located on the main hallway on the sides. We could not open the door for nothing in the world. We called the main office and spoke with the sweetest lady , Kathy. We explained our dilemma and she can to assist right away. The next part is simply hilarious. She brought a spray to loosen the door. Bless her heart when she opened the door without having to use the spray my daughter and I burst into laughter . There was absolutely nothing wrong with the door. I have two large units that I have to pull from the bottom to open upward. I did not realize that the small units swing out like a regular door . Kathy was so kind and did not want me to feel like a crazy women and was so sweet. She is the absolute best. I know in the field of customer facing customer service it can be very difficult to work with individuals from all walks of life and all types of personalities but I can say for sure Kathy has the gift to deal with people period. She truly is an asset to this company . read more

Que and Trey are wonderful young ladies who went above and beyond to help a 'stressed' out mom arrange storage for daughter's apartment. They are professional - helpful and proficient beyond words at their job. Public Storage is very lucky to have these 2 representing their company. To say I'm pleased is an understatement. If I could give them 0 stars I would. My parents are retired and we used them to store their belongings while they relocate. We followed their instructions when we moved everything out mid April, and left the storage unit without a lock. We got a call recently saying we are being charged for May and June because they checked the units and they found a lock and that we accessed the unit on May 1st which is a complete lie. We called the manager there and was then berated by her saying that we did these things which we did not. My mother went over to the facility to talk to the manager and was then treated with such disrespect and was left with no conclusion on the matter. The people here are completely unprofessional and I would not recommend using this place. read more
