I love Korean fusion, so I was pretty excited to see this food truck at an event in Princeton. The menu is pretty standard - tacos, rice bowls, and kimchi fries, as well as dumplings and other types of fries. This might just be personal preference, but I was relieved that most of the dishes weren't overloaded with cheese as Korean fusion so often is. Portions are fairly small for the price but pretty standard for a food truck, and the entrees come with your choice of ribeye, chicken, pork, or tofu (no price difference). This truck is definitely worth a try, though I don't think I'd get it twice. I got a rice bowl with pork ($12), which was white rice, roasted kimchi, pork, and shredded cabbage/carrots. I didn't love the pork but didn't dislike it either - it was pretty soft and very fatty, and I had to throw out a lot of the fattier bits. The marinade taste also wasn't very strong; the dish mainly tasted like kimchi and yum yum sauce (spicy mayo aioli that wasn't very spicy). Visually I think the dish was too monochromatic and would benefit from a greater variety of colors. The kimchi was warm and soft, mostly sour but not very spicy, and it seemed very cooked - I guess this is what roasted kimchi means? They gave me extra kimchi when I asked if the dish could be made more spicy, which was really nice as the kimchi was my favorite part! Tasty but mainly I didn't love the pork. My friend got tacos with chicken ($9), which he liked - he said the chicken was very tender, though he would have liked more red cabbage. It was pretty oily, and after eating the fillings there was a puddle of grease on the tortilla. He did complain that his $2 bottle of water was mostly ice though. The people in the truck were friendly but mildly frazzled. It seemed like something wasn't going efficiently - there were long periods when they weren't taking orders, but when I was finally able to order my food was ready in under a minute. read more

This is my 2nd year choosing My Four Suns as my food truck options (out of many) at Laurita Winery's Oktoberfest... First of all... YUM YUM SAUCE It is definitely YUM YUM. If you could bottle this and sell it, I would be the first to buy a case. SOOOOO good. The sweet mixed with the savory... yes! I ordered the mac and cheese eggrolls with the bacon... with a side of yum yum sauce was OUT OF THIS WORLD. I scarfed those bad boys down so quickly..... The mac and cheese was so tasty and not mushy at all... fried to perfection... I also got a pork taco... it was ok... but I think it would have been better had it not gotten cold due to my sole attention being on the mac and cheese eggrolls... I'm gonna follow you, food truck.. Wow, talk about bang for your buck! Reminded me a lot of Bibimbap, but pared down. Not sure what's with the bad reviews, perhaps when the prices were higher I could understand the frustration, but I was really impressed with my lunch. I got the rice bowl with ribeye on top (I'm assuming the meat varieties change from time to time-yesterday's choices were ribeye, pork, tofu or chicken). It came with white steamed rice, a kimchi slaw, juicy ribeye meat, and some delicious orange aioli type sauce drizzled all up on it. I didn't get an egg on top, as that wasn't an option at the time, but I think it would've made it too messy - I liked the simplicity of this and they didn't go overboard on the kimchi slaw, which is a plus. They give it to you in a pocket of foil in a smaller Styrofoam container and it felt heavy AF, which I was excited about . For $10, I think the portion size and awesome flavor is beyond worth it - once I got into the nitty gritty of the rice, it was like the Mary Poppins of lunches - it kept going. I heard the guy in front of me say the trick is to tip it upside down to get all the toppings and sauce mixed in with the rice (as the sauce is pretty much done by the time you get to the bottom of all that rice). I was afraid of spillage, so I didn't do that, but if I had a larger bowl to transfer it into, it would've deff been ideal. I guess larger Styrofoam containers could have worked too, but to each his own. Also, I had zero problem with wait times, it was super fast. Overall, just say fuck it and go HAM on the mixing with your fork or tip it upside down, a little mess ain't never hurt nobody. read more

Food was amazing. One of a few food trucks on Main Street during Marlton Day. I don't know why this isn't a 4-5 star food joint on Yelp but it should be. I tried the prime rib tacos, which were juicy and flavorful- not tough, burned, or difficult to chew by any stretch of the imagination. Add in the kimchi fries and BAM- the perfect combo. Kimchi and cheese on fries is genius. The entire meal hit the spot. What's even better? The customer service was on point- from the person who took down my order and patiently answered my questions about the menu, to the person who gave me my order who engaged me in genuine friendly conversation. I'm not sure where this truck normally parks on a daily basis (Yelp says Hamilton, NJ), but I'd definitely go the extra mile(s) to get their food again and try more of their menu items. Food was mediocre and wayyy overpriced. My beef rice "bowl" was $12 and it was a tiny container of mostly rice with just a little bit of beef and a little coleslaw on top. The sauce tasted pretty good, but that's about the only good thing I could say about the dish. I showed it to my friends and they were also shocked at the price for such a small dish, especially one that didn't even have much to it. I tried to mix in the little bit of beef and coleslaw into the rice, but doing so made just about every bite mostly rice, and about halfway into it all the beef and coleslaw was gone, and I was left eating just a bunch of plain white rice at the bottom to finish up. I ate the whole thing and was still hungry afterwards. Disappointing. I almost got one of their sides but they were even smaller and they were all in the $6-7 range. Sorry guys, I'm not paying $6 for a glorified egg roll that I can get for under $2 anywhere else. And the thought of paying $18 total for an underwhelming lunch was not very appealing to me. I get it that food trucks can tend to be on the pricey side, and I wouldn't mind it if I felt like I was getting an actual meal for that price. I stopped by this food truck at the Laurita winery wine tasting and food truck event. 1st the two staff members that take your order and pass you your order were completely relatable amd nice. I had the ribeye tacos which were absolutely amazing. Take all of my money for them for the amount of product in the tacos and the flavor through every bite. I would definitely travel out of my way to return to this truck. Anything within 25/30 mins and it's the only go to spot. read more

I tried the dragon dumplings. They were pretty good. A lot of places that make fried dumplings like this are too thick in the dough. These guys parked in our corporate center today. I ordered the Ribeye Rice Bowl and the Kimchi Fries. Serving size was good. The rice bowl was delicious. a generous helping of rice, beef, Kim chi, and yum-yum sauce. So were the Kim chi fries. At its best, My Four Suns could easily be rated 6 Stars. I've never tasted food like this, and the yum yum sauce is so good I'm surprised it isn't sold in a bottle. However, there was some visits where I honestly can't rate the food more than 2 stars. It just seems totally inconsistent whether or not I'll have a good experience with this food. I discovered this truck at Laurita winery about 3 years ago now, and my most recent visit was just this past weekend at Six Flags. I'd say I've eaten from there about a dozen times total in the past 3 years mostly from the business's truck, but they also have a food trailer. I've also chatted a little with the crew. The son of the owner works a lot of the times ive been there and I make it a point to see if I can spot him before coming up to order. The menu has a few mainstays and some things that come and go. I like the rice bowl and tacos, but they also always have Dumplings and kimchi fries. Sometimes they have a Mac and cheese egg roll or a spiral potato on a stick, but these seem like gimmicky foods to me. Neither are very good, both take a long time, and they don't seem very Korean. I tend to stick to ordering their rice bowl, usually pork or ribeye. At its best, the meats are full of flavor. You can tell its well marinaded or seasoned. The ribeye they use for the beef is very tender, and the pork is cooked just right so that the outside is slightly seared so it isn't chewy like uncooked bacon. The kimchi is perfect, you can tell it isn't bought at a store and is definitely hand made. However, sometimes I order a rice bowl and it's the complete opposite. I taste very little flavor besides the meat itself, and the beef can be tough and bland, while the pork is sometimes fatty, chewy, and a little undercooked to my tastes. And the kimchi sometimes tastes horrible like it's boiled, definitely not pan fried like they say. If it weren't for the yum yum sauce, I would throw it away after a few bites. I've had the food at several events, and it seems like the busier it is, the worse the food gets. Also, when I eat from the trailer, the food also tends to be better prepared, rather than the truck which is odd, since their trailer is half the size of their truck. Like I said, I ate their food at Six Flags just this past weekend, and it was horrible. But last year at Six Flags, their food was amazing. Overall, it's just really sad that the food isn't very good some of the time. This truck could EASILY be the best in New Jersey if they were more consistent. read more

Had a Pork (was recommended by the crew) Rice Bowl and at times I was not even sure if I was eating beef or pork. Parts of the meat were badly burned and the bowl overall had bland taste and flavor. They had no offerings for rice substitution (white rice only) and they had 1 sauce on hand (yum yum sauce, of all things). Never showed up. We had scheduled them months in advanced to come to our business on a Friday and serve from 12pm to 5pm. 11:30am came around and the truck had not arrived yet. We tried calling numerous times but no answer and the mailbox was full so we could not leave a message. Many of our customers were very upset as they came to our business on their lunch break and could not get lunch. This has a ripple effect on our business as many of the customers who came for lunch and could not get any, will not return. We still haven't heard from them with an explanation. Imagine if this had been a wedding or some other major event. It's not worth the risk with so many reliable options available in food trucks. We will not have them back, but since they do not answer their phone and have a full mailbox, it would be hard to schedule them back if we did want them. read more

I ordered the tofu tacos (made vegan by subbing Sriracha for the Yum Yum sauce). Normally I wouldn't have bothered, but I was ravenous and the truck was parked near my office, so I gave it a try anyway fully it to be a smidge better than flavored cardboard. Instead I was pleasantly surprised with the result. I generally don't like fried tofu, but again this was the exception the tofu was tasty and the kim slaw really made it pop. I only wish I'd gotten one more. If they don't have many other vegan-friendly options, but I'll be back to try what they do offer and of course to get more tacos!! read more

i was very disappointed with the service provided at taco festival. I ordered my food at 4 o'clock and after an hour of waiting I was told they no longer had tornato potatos. After I was refunded my money, they had passed out way more toranto potatos to those who ordered way after me. They are very unorganized when taking orders and getting orders out. read more

I wanted to like My Four Sons so badly! Since trying Korean food, it is something that has taken a large part of my heart and I enjoy eating it as often as I can. I particularly LOVE bulgogi and believe it should have it's own food group. Seriously. I love bulgogi. We had seen My Four Sons at Laurita at the events that they held, and finally got in line to try their food when we were at Laurita's St. Patrick's Day event. My Four Sons had two Irish specials - bangers and mash and corned beef and cabbage egg roll. We sampled the egg roll and fell in love with it and knew we had to order it. I also really wanted to try their K Town Hero (bulgogi, fried kimchi, three cheese blend, "yum yum sauce" on a freshly baked roll) so we ordered both to split. The corned beef and cabbage egg rolls did not disappoint, I honestly still think about them because they were so good. The K Town Hero was a really big let down. The bread did not taste like it was freshly baked, and I'm not sure if it was the beef, the kimchi, or the yum yum sauce, but the sandwich tasted so fishy that neither of us could eat it and threw it away after only taking a few bites each. The man taking orders at the truck was incredibly friendly, so I really hope that they were having a bad night, but it was so disappointing that the Korean part of our meal that we ordered was not good. read more

My Four Suns was amazing! I had never had Korean food before, as I am not much of an adventurous eater. It was great, because they took certain concepts of authentic Korean Cuisine and made it more Americanized where it was something I recognized. I had their beef tacos, suki (macaroni and cheese with bacon stuffed egg roll) and the gobbler egg roll (slow roasted turkey, gravy, mashed potato and stuffing in an egg roll). Everything was delicious, hot, fresh and amazing. I loved their yum-yum sauce too, and now wish they bottled it!
