Replaced deck & stairway supports with good supplies and workmanship. Cost was good value; the work took longer than estimated.

Workers were respectful and did not intrude at all on our daily life, though they were in the house. They are NOT the cheapest out there, but I'd say they do the best work.

Buerger Brothers Construction built an addition to our home, which included a 700+ square foot garage, using concrete poured on Piers and a floor poured as a "Slab on void" due to bad soils report. They also built a new deck, and managed front yard landscaping. They are an honest, ethical, professional, and an excellent company to do business with. We started planning in May of 2019, with construction from June through October of 2020, we found ways to work during the early days of the Covid pandemic. Communicating with Christian was a breeze, he was easy to talk to, responsive, professional and truly cares about what you are conveying. Because I am a retired engineer I had to stick my nose into everything... From the beginning he brought in professionals from the Architect, Structural Engineers to the finishing Carpenter and Painter, each step was amazing and all within budget. The cadre of subcontractors hired by Burger Brothers had to meet a high standard of professionalism and produce a high quality product, they were all wonderful to work with. Of note, was the daily cleanup, the care taken and the security to the existing area, especially working in the midst of a pandemic! Inconvenience was kept to a minimum and in the end we can actually say the complete project went quite smoothly and was a great experience. Would I hire them to do it again? Absolutely "In a heartbeat, no doubt about it!" I just cannot brag enough about this company and I promise you will not regret your decision to hire Christian and his crew! I could go on and on, but you get the gist.... if you want honesty and professionalism, these are your guys! Without hesitation I would recommend them and would hire them again to do any construction project.

Quality Contracting

We have now used Quality Contracting for two major projects, and they have exceeded our…read moreexpectations! We first hired them to build a new fence with a retaining wall to account for our old fence being partially buried. They were incredibly adaptive when handling late changes (specifically on retaining wall scope), communicated well, and finished the work when they said that they would. That initial project completely has completely changed our backyard. Because of their outstanding work on the fence, we brought them back to handle a much larger project: a new deck covered with a roof extension and associated electrical work for lighting, a fan, and electric heater. During the planning phase, they worked patiently with us through multiple iterations of the initial bid to ensure we got everything we wanted in the scope. The finished deck and roof extension has far exceeded our expectations and has truly transformed our house and outdoor living space. Our previous deck was rundown and downright dangerous, we now spend some time enjoying the new deck daily. On top of their outstanding craftsmanship, they handled all the permitting and inspections seamlessly. They are a genuinely capable team--equally skilled at the detailed physical labor as they are at managing the paperwork and ensuring customer satisfaction. For both projects, I gathered quotes from three different contractors, and Quality Contracting's pricing was extremely competitive. They noted upfront that their bid structure was designed to avoid unexpected cost overruns, and I deeply appreciate that they held true to their word with no surprise fees. I cannot recommend Quality Contracting highly enough. If you want high-quality work, fair and honest pricing, and a stress-free process from start to finish, look no further!

Even phone records if they would like. I called on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. There was no answer and I left a voicemail. Never heard back from them so I called again on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. I started to leave another voicemail and my voicemail was randomly disconnected in the middle, which was weird (also a feature many networks let you do if you preview the voicemail and decide not to proceed). So I sent a text and he called me back immediately. This part felt better honestly, finally able to talk to someone. I sent him my name and address via text, he will send me date and time options for scheduling. Later a few days later, the team texted me saying they would like pictures instead. This is Friday, July 19, 2024 per the text timestamps (can be provided for verification if needed to Yelp or anyone else). He requested pictures and was obviously not scheduling an appointment. I was not able to take the pictures immediately the same day. They were sent over approx one week later on July 27th as I had a personal emergency to prioritize. Instead of a poor quality pictures, I decided to take my time, do a detailed walk through and take two videos. I even took the time to zip it up for him and upload it to dropbox (public easy to download link, industry used for over 10+ years and intuitive). They responded by telling me that: "Your videos are not viewable. I don't believe I will be the best contractor for you. The major delay of response is not a good first sign for communication for me. Also I am not available to look at your project this week. Let alone start till mid October. I wish you the best and hope your project goes well." This is laughable, they were hard enough to get ahold of the first time, they never came out to give an estimate as agreed in first phone call and then they give me an attitude when I go out of my way to give them a detailed video instead of crappy pictures. Obviously I am proceeding with someone else, but this was a weirdly disappointing experience. This business is blacklisted and blocked in my books and they are not welcome to bid of any of my work, ever. I find it weird they have so many other 5 star reviews that contradict the experience I had so I am exercising my first amendment right to share what happened with me. P.S. I can tell team is not tech savvy with the basics when they request info from you, i.e., you cannot play a video inside a zip file, you have to unzip first.

They designed and built the perfect deck for our home!…read more When we purchased our home 3 years ago, the original 30-year old deck was there, and the home inspector was quick to tell us it would never hold "party weight" and to replace it soon. We never even allowed a table on it for fear of too much weight ripping it from the side of our home. In the Fall of 2012, we were finally in a position financially to take on a brand new deck. Add A Deck was one of three companies we received bids from. They were generally pretty easy to get ahold of, their bid was fair, and most importantly their help in designing the new deck was invaluable. Our old deck never had stairs from the second story to the backyard, so we had wanted to make the new deck larger and include stairs to allow easier access to our backyard (previous access was only through the basement or around the side of house). They had the knowledge of local building code (some other companies proposed things we later discovered were against code), they supported our requirement of pulling a permit, and they also did not blow us off when they realized we were interested in a real wood deck vs composite. They do composite, and I'm sure they do it well, but for many reasons we chose to do a real wood deck and they were complete professionals. Other companies tried to convince us why wood was bad, or flat out refused the job. Their builders were true craftsman who took obvious pride in the opportunity to craft the "old fashioned" way. The builders were personable and did a great job keeping the job site clean. It went up very quickly and we love it! We even ran into a minor issue with the permit expiring. We had been under the impression from Add a Deck that we had one year from issuance to complete the missing item for approval (we had to do a concrete landing pad in yard from stairs, which Add a Deck had told us would be required), and since it was built in the Fall we had to wait until Spring to even consider that portion. Unexpectedly, when we called to have an inspector out once we complete the concrete, we were informed the permit had expired and had to be reissued. Tony, the owner, was very helpful and professional in helping us resolve this inconvenience, and I truly appreciate his professionalism. I highly recommend this company. So many companies like this can be "fly by night" but I never felt taken advantage of and I feel like the work was completed on schedule. And I highly recommend building a deck in the Fall- it saved us approximately 20%!

I paid $425 for "Winterize - Water/Drains/Appliances," which included labor and antifreeze, as reflected on the invoice. The business publicly advertises services as a General Contractor and Home Builder, and I relied on those representations when hiring him, it's my second home and I informed him I was hiring him to do a full weatherization as I was told I needed to do if I wasn't returning for a long extended time . Eric Wiltse assured me he does this weatherization procedure a lot and has many clients who also own mountain home properties to assure me and gain my trust . Prior to the work, Mr. Wiltse texted to confirm that he was in his way to the property to winterize the home at 205 Hazelwood Drive, Nederland, CO. After receiving access confirmation. He later sent text that the work was finished and that he was on his way home. I relied on this text confirmations that the winterization had been completed and everything went well. When I returned to the home last month , I entered the home, I discovered there was no heat, no hot water, and no running water. , my cousin called a emergency # that comes out in the evenings . House had electricity.. no heat or hot water and I was informed by the technician it's not something they can do on this service call. It's serious damage . I called another company who would come to Nederland the next day for help to find out why there's no heat or water. Contractor arrived to inspect and diagnose the issue and determined that the winterization had been performed improperly. Pipes froze and burst throughout the home, and the boiler system was damaged and rendered inoperable . I showed them the detailed bill from Eric Weltse and they pointed out they the bill shows why everything happened . The contractor didn't do a full correct weatherization. Confirmed with the details in that bill. I trusted him to do the right thing It's nothing less than catastrophic damage and the house is not livable with no heat or hot water. I have now received professional repair estimates totaling $31,965, including extensive repiping, water heater replacement, and a boiler system replacement alone is approximately $15,000 This damage was not routine wear and tear. It has been identified as the result of improper winterization work. The scope and cost of the damage far exceed anything disclosed or reasonably anticipated. I have written communications (text messages) from Mr. Wiltse confirming travel to the property, performance of the winterization, and completion of the work. These communications are being preserved as evidence. Due to the extent of the damage and financial harm, I am in the process of filing a civil lawsuit in Colorado court within the next two weeks to recover damages related to this matter. I am sharing this experience publicly to warn others. Winterization in mountain conditions is critical, and improper work can cause catastrophic damage. Anyone considering this company should independently verify licensing, scope of work, and accountability before hiring. 12/15/2025 This is an itemized list a Licensed Contractor sent me what a legitimate Weatherization bill should look like . Not a bill that Eric Wiltse provided correct, itemized winterization invoice looks like (Boiler-heated, vacant mountain home) A legitimate winterization bill would separately itemize each system addressed. Boiler work is always listed as "Boiler" or "Hydronic Heating System" -- never buried under "appliances." Why the boiler is primary * In a boiler-heated home, the boiler is the heat source and often also feeds domestic hot water (directly or via an indirect tank). * If the boiler isn't protected, you lose heat first, which then causes: * freeze damage to plumbing * failure of hot water delivery * That makes the boiler omission the root cause. 12/15/2025 Added a very important Example of a proper invoice, compared to the invoice Eric Wiltse provided to me Is Attached in the images Please read

However, the company she had used in the past wouldn't call me back. I found MetalArc using Google. And I'm beyond happy I did. First, their commitment to their craft is top notch. They will work diligently to get the project right. The level of refinement that we were looking for with these doors was not a hurdle they shied away from but rather they accepted the challenge and worked side by side with me to get it exactly right. The finished product is stunning, we couldn't be happier. Second, David's level of communication is a rarity. He is such a well spoken, clear and eloquent communicator. It is a lost art in today's day and age. I was impressed time and time again with his clarity and thoughtfulness in every conversation and email. This was truly a "project" that required communication and collaboration and he impressed me time and time again. Third, he is a good man whose primary goal was not only meeting but exceeding expectations. On top of being an expert in his craft, he has mastered being a good person. I can't say enough good things about him (and his brother, Joseph!). Thank you we will continue to sing your praises.

Most railing companies said that they couldn't do it. MetalArc was one of the few willing to accept the challenge and the unknowns that came with it. They worked hard to understand my vision and priorities. I am very particular in what I want and don't want. They respected that and were not put off by it. They are very, very kind people. The project gave them challenges beyond their expectations, but they were patient and stuck with it each time. I am thrilled with the final result. On my end, there were a few challenges as well. I had to be extremely patient with the schedule. The project was bid at a flat rate, however, they increased it when they had a better understanding of the project. This was after I was already committed and had made a large deposit. I was frustrated by that because I thought the project was clear from the beginning since I had a picture of what I wanted to replicate. The payment installments were confusing and, as things took longer, they added new installments. I had to be firm that the final installment would be paid when the project was done. They had a few employees turnover which directly impacted my project. All but one did great work; but the one caused some major hiccups as did the transitions in general. We finished the project as a team. The results are beautiful. We are on good terms. We are planning to work together again, thankfully on a much more straightforward project!
