I had an extremely disappointing experience at Post & Beam. We arrived around 7:50 PM and the place…read morewas packed. We walked around looking for somewhere to sit, first checking the bar and then deciding to look for a table. While we were simply trying to find seating, a man named Larry (owner) asked us what we were looking for. When I asked him to repeat himself, the situation quickly escalated. He told me he could "help me find the door," got directly in my face, and told us to leave. I was confused because, from my perspective, we had done nothing other than walk around looking for a seat. He then made physical contact with me using his body while forcing us toward the exit. During the incident, a woman named Susan (co owner) also came toward me aggressively enough that another person had to restrain her. What bothered me most was how quickly the situation escalated when we were simply looking for seating. I would have had no problem leaving if someone calmly explained that we needed to leave or that there was an issue, but the hostility and physical confrontation were completely unnecessary. I'm sharing this review because customers should be able to enter an establishment, look for seating, and be treated respectfully. Based on my experience that night, I would not return to Post & Beam.

This is not your late night spot with a bunch of people eating wings and having a good time, this late at night becomes a more sad and depressing place to be. The beer coming in plastic cups, if you can get it served to you, and the kitchen closing obnoxiously early (by 10pm when I went). Is there quite a wing selection and beer selection, yes there is. But getting served took over 15 minutes for an empty bar, and the kitchen closing so early when your whole job is to feed people and get people drunk in a fun vibe is just failing. It's no surprise that Townhall is full and this place is empty.

It was my first experience at this bar and it's been around for decades. I reached out to the place ahead of time because I saw on their website. They have a VIP section that you can reserve ahead of time for 100 bucks so I did that. Chris, the manager, was super helpful via text Message in helping me plan the evening. Their drinks were reasonable and the space was perfect for listening to this band. Food wise it's a challenge. The bar doesn't have a kitchen, rather they rely on sweet basil to deliver food next-door. Sweet basil has wonderful pizza and food however, on a Saturday night they closed at 8 PM. That's not the bar's fault, but it's something to be aware of if you plan on going to eat there.

However, they had packed so many people into this bar that we could barely enter the door. Moving from one side of the bar to the other, we had to weave in and out, shoulder to shoulder, and could barely move. I would have liked to have stayed, but there was no way I was going to enjoy myself being that packed in. I fully believe that the bar was at full capacity or possibly over which isn't safe. They do have a large parking lot, but it was over full as well. I would give this place another try, on a different night. The crowd was mainly people in their 50s and 60s, but that was probably because of the type of band that was playing that night. I didn't get a drink, because I couldn't even get to the bar. We stayed about 15 to 20 minutes.

There were also bar seats. But cost was better with the table for 3 of us. There was also standing room. But I wasn't standing that long. The last time I was here it was smaller. They bought the place next door and made the bar lots bigger. So a show like this was possible. Still have lots of TVs with game's on, neon signs and other signs advertising drinks. It's a bar. Seats range from low tables to high tops and bar seats. They suggested we get there early because of the crowd that was going to be there, so we did. But honestly we could have come about an hour later and been fine. So we ordered some dinner and drinks. We got the watermelon sangrias. It was good but supposed to be garnished with watermelon and it was t. Disappointed. I love watermelon. We got wings and some apps, the pizza bites and potato skins. We got the wings first and the apps shortly after. I got the cajun ranch. Good but not enough cajun. Crispy and pretty meaty. The pizza rolls could have been hotter. And the potato skins were good. Overall, food was OK. Decent bar food and I am being picky. Oh and they have cider on tap. Yeah! The score is really for the event. If I would update the food and such it would be a bit lower. The server was good. He had a lot of tables and was working hard. Props to him. Prices are average. Lots of specials and things going on. It's like it's named. Local bar. Event/show was great! We had a good time. Overall experience was good. So I kept the score.
