What a cute spot in Berkeley. Just a 5min walk from downtown Berkeley bart. Very close to everything. The ambiance is lovely paired with Friendly service and super clean bathrooms. Was early in picking up my daughter from preschool so I stopped here for a choco croissant and hot cocoa. Lovely. I had a nice time and will come back again. Ample indoor and outdoor seating. I was a little disappointed in this place, but it wasn't bad by any means. It's located near trader joes and the outside almost looks like a little cottage. Its super cute! I got the iced hojicha latte which seemed to be pretty popular. The drink itself came out to around $8 in total which is quite absurd in my opinion. It was also a lot more watery than I expected, with less hojicha flavor. I really wanted to like it more than I did. The workers are all super friendly which is great, and I did love the seating. There arent many outlets though, which does make it a little difficult to work. read more

Chill cafe to study, great location because close to downtown but not right in the middle of it. Has outdoor seating. Bar seating by the windows is a good study spot, as long as you are not here around noon when the sunlight shines directly in your face. Small cafe with makeshift utensils. Nothing too notable about the food, drinks or service, but the latte art is wonderful! read more

The building is easy to spot; it's the one with a rustic and cozy looking building. The stained glass windows and the stone embedded walls give a cute, magical, or wizardly mood. The staff here are sweet and kind; they shared me information on seasonal or special drinks that I haven't seen in other cafes. The drinks I tried was a seasonal: orange blossom latte. I tried hot and cold before, and cold tastes refreshing. Hot was good too, but the orange and coffee seemed to blend the best when it was cold. Their coffee is not sour, and the hotness is perfect. My relative loves piping hot coffee, so this suits their tastes very well. They tried the Americano, and they loved it. It made me want to try espresso drinks next time because on how rustic and good the coffee is in a latte. We love the staff here. They're cheerful and always greets us, when we visit. Their drip coffee didn't drip on me. It must be difficult for drip coffee to sit still in a cup. It was made to drip. I order drip coffee in hopes that when it gets to me, it's dripping days are over, but maybe that's naive. Once a drip coffee, always a drip coffee. That's why whenever my drip coffee starts dripping on my finger when I'm driving, I try not to get upset. I try to remember that I wouldn't have this drip coffee in the first place if it weren't for its dripping ways. Luckily, the drip coffee I got from here didn't give me any unwanted drips. Would definitely come here again. read more

Staff are sweet and service is pretty quick, there is a good amount of seating in and out doors around this adorable cottage. Espresso is going to be a bit steeper than your usual cup, but the quality is good and consistent. I love sitting out here on the patio! I've gotten both their orange blossom iced latte and regular hot latte, both were made really well and the flavored latte was great - not too sweet! read more

This is a super adorable little coffee shop that is perhaps a 5 min walking distance from the Trader Joes on university! It almost brings you back to a little cottage/The Hobbit vibes. I had a Chai latte here and similar to other reviewers, felt that it was slightly on the sweeter side. They have both indoor and outdoor seating (heat lamp too!) which is nice as well. Their bathroom requires a key and is outdoors so make sure to ask the staff at the cashier! read more

My wife and I are passionate about great coffee, and My Coffee Roastery is hands down the best we've found in the Bay Area. This locally owned gem takes quality seriously, and it shows in every cup--especially their cappuccinos. The owners are incredibly friendly, and we love that they roast their own beans, which we regularly purchase to enjoy at home. Consistently excellent coffee and a warm, welcoming atmosphere--highly recommend! read more

I was excited to try this place after seeing all the 5 star reviews, but it didn't quite live up to the expectations. The cafe is a bit hidden and it's a cute spot with nice ambiance. The first time I tried the orange blossom latte, and the second time I tried the hojicha latte. The orange blossom was interesting and I don't regret trying it, but personally the mix of coffee flavor and orange is a bit odd to me. I really liked the flavor of the hojicha latte. However, my biggest complaint when it comes to the drinks is that they're really expensive, which isn't abnormal in this area, but they're also really small compared to other cafes. Also, I really like the vibe here, and it's a really cute cafe, but the wifi is a bit finicky and both times I had to restart my laptop to get it to work. It's also a bit slow, which might be annoying if you're trying to get work done. read more

A cute way to spend a chill day! The scene is like an aesthetically cozy cottage setting with cute indoor and outdoor seating. The service was super sweet and kind. Their menu offers a couple of choices for beverages and the couple also has a little display of pastries you can buy to enjoy with your drink. My order was their hojicha latte- it was smooth with a strong tea flavor and the right amount of sweetness/creaminess for me. I would definitely want to come back and spend a nice afternoon here! read more

This is the CUTEST cafe that my friend and I have been able to find that has Wi-Fi and outdoor seating. It looks like a little gingerbread house. Unfortunately the Wi-Fi comes and goes sometimes and the outlets are a little hard to come by but nonetheless the customer service has always been stellar. The coffee is ok - I usually get almond milk lattes, a few days ago I tried a drink they offer called the "fluffy" ($5) and I can't say that I hated it but I also didn't love it. It is two shots of espresso over ice with cream soda and a mint leaf from the owners home garden. The chocolate almond croissant ($5) was is also ok. Street parking is usually pretty easy, you may have to drive around the block once or twice. No public restrooms available. I'll definitely be back for the venue, ambiance, outdoor seating and great service. read more

4.5 to be specific but definitely a returner! I think the menu has a small selection but the small selection they have is rly good. Today we got the orange blossom latte which I really enjoyed. You can taste the distinct taste of orang, their fusion was done rly well. My bf got the hojicha latte which I also feel had a good proportion of hojicha. It's a cute little space. Despite being on the main street and a lot of visitors, it is relaxing. I think it's a mom and pop cafe. There's also a decent amount of parking in the neighborhood since it isn't smack in downtown. read more

Visited this morning after looking for a local coffee spot on Yelp. I'm very picky about my coffee and I'm already planning on another visit. The orange blossom latte was perfection. This is a lovely coffee shop and one of my favorite places to meet up with friends. There's some street parking, or you can take public transportation (close to multiple bus lines and the Downtown Berkeley BART). I know coffee shops in Berkeley can be pricey, and normally it's fine because I'm getting at least a 12-ounce drink, but I found the chai latte with oat milk to be a bit excessive. $7+ for a tiny, disposable cup (and $8+ with tip). I ordered my drink to have there, so maybe it'd be a nicer experience in a mug? I'm not sure! Regardless, I'll probably keep coming here because of the ample seating and proximity to other shops and restaurants. I like how there's indoor and outdoor seating, and a variety of tables and benches. It's a unique place, and clearly the owners have put a lot of love into decorating the space. read more

Ever. these people are obsessive about their beans, and it shows. take some beans home and make some coffee your favorite way, and you'll understand why it's not inexpensive. staff is always very pleasant, trickling down from the owner/managers. can get crowded on weekends, for good reason! read more

Eh. The orange blossom was not bad, but a little bitter. The chai was just steamed milk with a little chai flavor. As you can see, it wasn't even a full cup and it literally tasted like warm milk. The chai flavor was so light. I won't come back as there are so many other places where I won't get warm milk at this price. read more

MY Coffee Roastery is the best little café! The building looks like it used to be a small church, meaning the interior is stunning with old stained glass and hardwood. They've set up the cute exterior with plenty of seating, so it's dog-friendly and great for studying. Every time I've gone everyone has been so nice and helpful. They have you wait just outside until they can help you, so that when drinks come out they are accessible to whoever ordered them. It's a great system. My dogs love it here too -- the employee last time I went gave me a couple treats for them! I don't drink coffee, but the matcha and the chai lattes are delicious. They added vanilla to my matcha, and it was perfect. The drinks are flavorful and well-balanced. Most importantly, the pastries are AMAZING!!! I've had the almond croissant, chocolate croissant, and apple turnover. I recommend getting them warmed up for extra flakiness. Don't hesitate to come here and make it your coffee roastery! :) read more

I have been coming to this cafe since I was an undergrad. I live farther away now and I still come back here a few times in a quarter. 3 to 4 years later, they added a roof and heating equipment which I am very grateful for. They even added new drinks and tasty pastries. . This is my favorite cafe in the Bay. I go to a lot of cafes. It's mostly a hobby now. I say this one is one the best cafes here in the Bay area. Ambience and cafe setting is so cute and cozy. Menu and service is pretty good. My favorite drinks would be fluffy and the orange blossom latte. Really love this place and I hope they stay in business read more

The blueberry muffins are Costco muffins dusted with powdered sugar to appear homemade and resold for $5. The cost per muffin from costco is 75 cents, possibly less if obtained from the costco business center. After biting into it and tasting the deception we tried to exchange it for a different pastry, they would not let us. This is the second time I have gone and both times we had bad customer service experiences. Along with poor service they are generally overpriced imo. read more

Initially they charged me $5 for a cappuccino and then I saw a sign that read "request ceramic cup." The employee then voided the transaction stating she could "remove the cup charge." Proceeded to charge me an extra $.50 for dine in fees! Crossed me as conniving that she would charge me more and try to play it off as doing another transaction would save me money. This shop imposes additional charges for using ceramic cups (I guess reducing plastic isn't a concern). The cappuccino was very bitter. They didn't have outlets...what am I paying for. Ever since this place changed its name, I was curious to come back here. I only went once before with my parents when I first moved to Berkeley. They still serve drinks and pastries here. I didn't stay too long to look at the menu, but I'm sure they offer other items as well. I decided to order a vanilla latte, which was $5.00. Pros -COVID policies are in place (there is physical distancing markers on the ground, signs by the entrance that says wait to be called in, no-touch hand sanitizer by the cashier, and they spray down and sanitize the touch pad after each person). Bravo! -I love that in a typical year there is both indoor and outdoor seating. This coffee place was very cute and home-y. The people working were very kind and pleasant to interact with. They have you wait outside and will call you in to order. We got cold brews (they did not have nitro) and it was $4.5 each. It was "made special" they said, since I asked for oat milk and they said I wouldn't need it. I definitely agree that it was a differently tasting cold brew. Very light and not bitter. They didn't even charge me for the side of oat milk and I really didn't need it! This has to be one of my favorite cafes i've been to! I've had their iced hojicha latte; which was very tasty and great quality. Today I went in and got the orange blossom latte, I never knew orange and coffee went together so well. I really recommend giving it a try if you like oranges. A very welcoming environment, the employees were so kind. Has good efficient wifi for studying! Although I only saw 1 outlet so be mindful of that. Not super crowded nor loud. It was raining/hailing today and they have outdoor heaters to keep warm!! Definitely will be coming back. read more

I got the seasonal orange blossom latte and it was delicious! You can really taste the orange blossom balanced with the high quality expresso. Convenient location, cute atmosphere, friendly service these are my initial impressions. But good coffee, too? Sounds too good to be true. Well, I walked in with zero expectation. Normally, I go for the Americano either black or with a splash of soy. Somehow they only have whole milk, syrups, and honey as add on options. Then I asked for cup stopper, and unfortunately, that's not an option neither. Honestly, I was a bit of disappointed walking out of the door. Back to the coffee. It has great aroma. What's really amazing is that even after letting it cool down for a while, it still tastes as fresh as your first sip. It doesn't turn acidic or anything. Great quality for sure. Love the cute building and nice patio for outdoor seating. Dogs are welcome on the patio. The espresso coffee tasted very good, too (I had a latte)! The selection of coffee options is limited. They only serve light/medium roast drip/ pour-over coffee; they do not serve dark roasted coffee, so if you prefer a full-bodied coffee, be prepared to order an americano or an espresso drink. Also, they only serve whole milk, almond milk, or oat milk; they do not serve non-fat or light options. Come prepared to modify your order their their specific options. I came here for the reviews but I was very disappointed. We ordered two chocolate croissants, latte, and dirty chai which came about $22, not a problem if it was actually worth it, but it wasn't. First impression was that croissants were burned and coffees were smaller than anywhere else! After trying them we agreed that both coffees were not extra hot as requested and only barely hot, they didn't taste amazing either. Chocolate croissants were not fresh to the point that butter tasted odd, I believe they were heated couple of times, that's why they were dry and burned. It was perfect, subtle sweetness and roast, and a nice earthy matcha blend. I'd get it again. My friend enjoyed her Hojicha Latte, and they were kind enough to accommodate her request and give us Hojicha Tea as well! Everything was great quality and delicious. Even though there is an ordering kiosk available, they still went out of their way to greet us and let us know that they are there to also take orders and answer questions. I was also a bit bummed that they were sold out of their Orange Blossom Latte. I feel like it would taste like an orange creamsicle. They were very reassuring that it's a regular menu item and that I can hopefully get my hands on one before it sells out for the day next time! I can't wait to see what they come out with next!
