    Single origin espresso (Ethiopia)
    Felix W.

I got espresso. The single origin (Ethiopia) and house blend. Both were well executed. The single origin was fruit forward on the nose. The shot had good crema and was not bitter or burnt. It was bright and acidic with fruit and floral notes. The texture was lighter than I prefer but not watery 3.5/5. The house blend was more my style. Nutty and chocolatey notes came through and were balanced with light acidity. Same good layer of crema and texture that was light for my taste 4/5. They also had a solid pour over selection with the different beans. Worth a try next time I visit.

I'm not sure when I bookmarked this coffee shop but I was in the are this weekend so I was able to try it out. There's plenty of street parking nearby and the cafe itself is cozy yet so spacious. I was greeted by the sweetest lady, not sure if she was the owner but she was just so lovely and kind. I really appreciated her warm and kind energy. I ordered the cold brew with vanilla and it was probably one of the best cold brews I've had. It was smooth and not too bitter and the vanilla was a nice touch to it. I will definitely go back whenever I'm in the area!

Love this cute little cafe! I especially love knowing they use actual orange blossom and lemon for their lattes. There's indoor and outdoor seating and when it's cold, they have the heaters on. The service is good too and I'll definitely be back!

I tried their Mocha and their Almond croissant. The mocha has a light flavor and the chocolate is just right, not too sweet. Their Almond croissant is my favorite fluffly and soft especially when warmed up. Christine is a wonderful lady, you can feel her presence and energy. I love the vibe there, indoor and outdoor and plenty of outlets. I've been there many times and i will definitely go there again.

Stumbled across this lovely little cafe while walking around Berkeley. The cozy cottage/Lord of the Rings/elf vibe is what initially drew me in! I was happy to find that the vibes were just as special inside. The staff was super friendly and there was virtually no line! I got my matcha latte with cute art within just a few minutes. It tasted great. They also offer free wifi and a nice warm heater. There is also outdoor seating in the back. I would definitely come back!

Very cottage core, with the sweetest staff! I love the Totoro decor and the coffee was yummy! I also appreciate how they don't charge extra for alternative milk :)

MY continues to be a sweet, high quality, cozy mom&pop coffee shop in Berkeley! When I stopped by today I tried their Hojicha Latte with Oatmilk ($6.50). The milk substitution was free which I appreciated, and the drink was well balanced with sweetness and tea flavors just right. The shop owners are so kind and greet you with a smile as you walk in. Definitely a nice little place to stop for a pick-me-up, get some work done, or hang out with a friend.

Orange blossom oat milk latte & pan du chocolat

Lovely little shop. Three different areas to sit - front patio, front room, and back room. I ordered the orange blossom latte with oat milk and it was just right. Just enough orange, just enough coffee. Got the pan du chocolat (not heated but they offer that) and also...just right. There's a space heater overhead inside so it was warm enough and I sat at the front room counter overlooking the patio and the street beyond. Love that. They also have a restroom which you need the key for. It was clean. Service was friendly. I would definitely return.

My oh my, what a dreamy cafe! My best friend raved about her experience at My Coffee Roastery and took us here for a drink. The experience is quite enchanting. The exterior mimics a rustic cottage while the inside is cozy and peaceful. It's a popular cafe amongst students and residents working quietly. Service is prompt, friendly, and cordial. My best friend spoke highly of the Orange Blossom Latte; I ordered that iced with Oat Milk. The drink was citrusy, vibrant, and strong. Drinks come with a double shot and dairy alternatives are available. She got the same thing and we both sipped blissfully. For those seeking a calmingly cute cafe experience with quality drinks and friendly service--My Cafe is your place! It's located off MLK Way with residential parking. The drinks are strong and quality crafted, plus it's a cozy place to work or chat.

    Hojicha latte

I decided to order a hojicha latte since I haven't seen it commonly offered at most coffee/tea shops. I asked for it to be iced, so not sure if that caused an extra $0.50 since it was $6.50 (excluding my tip) and the menu board had said $6. I opted for whole milk. The baristas made the drink really fast. It was rather pricey for a small cup, so that is the main reason I didn't rate it higher, but otherwise the hojicha itself was decent. They do have both indoor and outdoor seating, so I saw quite a few students studying here on a Sunday.

Four stars because of parking and not the best coffee I've had, but... Orange blossom latte $6.50 Definitely taste the citrus Smooth with no bitter aftertaste Ham and cheese croissant $6.00 What you'll expect I was craving only savory, so I wished they had more savory options (this was the only savory option I saw with the others as almond croissant, butter croissant, blueberry muffin, etc.) Wi-Fi Legit speed (see photo!) Service and atmosphere Friendly staff Homey vibe Love the plentiful outdoor seating! Parking Keep looping around the neighborhood (apologies to the neighbors!) because you will find parking.

I'm obsessed with the orange blossom latte here. The flavor of the orange citrus is bright and uplifting and yet also calming. Only thing, I would improve is the temperature; it was cooler than I like. The double espresso was also rich and flavorful and not burnt. Chocolate chunk cookie warmed up was oo-gooey delicious. Adding some flaked sea salt or maybe even orange zest might elevate it even further! Service is super friendly and helpful. The vibes of the seating area both inside and out are casual, cozy. There are heated lamps in the back cover d patio which is pretty neat! Berkeley people, you don't know how yummy you have it here!

First off, the vibes are so zen, even if it's extremely busy! I came with my friend, both of us Japanese. It was a nice change of pace being in a cafe like this. It's common in Japan for cafes to be more western, so she was shocked that this cafe was more minimalistic, Asian-inspired, haha. There's bar seating plus indoor and outdoor tables. Most customers are Cal students studying or working, and seats can be limited. Communal seating is communal, and there's seating outside too. The service was great! We sat at the bar so we could watch what was happening. We loved how sweet one of the workers who helped us was. Kind service, and they put time and care into making each drink. Wait times can vary, but it's so worth it! I love any Japanese tea--matcha, hojicha, I'm all there! But I especially loved how they have genmaicha. I got the Genmaicha Latte with Oat Milk. It was perfect, subtle sweetness and roast, and a nice earthy matcha blend. I'd get it again. My friend enjoyed her Hojicha Latte, and they were kind enough to accommodate her request and give us Hojicha Tea as well! Everything was great quality and delicious. Forest Tea Bar is a wonderful cafe in Berkeley to get a matcha or other tea drink. Find them off Shattuck Ave. with street and metered parking around. Looking forward to coming back again and again!

It was an unexpectedly warm day, so I stopped in for an iced caffeinated beverage. I was indecisive when it was my turn to order, so the barista recommended the orange blossom matcha sparkler. This sounded intriguing and refreshing, so I decided to give it a try. My beverage was prepared about two minutes after I ordered it, and I was immediately refreshed after the first sip. The orange blossom flavoring was very subtle and provided just the right amount of sweetness and floral essence to counter the matcha's bitterness. The fizziness made this a perfect drink for a hot day. I've tried Mind Coffee's espresso on a prior visit, and I can now say they succeed in both the coffee and matcha categories.

I think sadly, in the Earl Gray Matcha Einspanner, the matcha overpowered the earl gray. The flavor was there, but it was extremely subtle (don't get me wrong, I'd definitely get it again). Also, their espresso is unmatched. It really reminded me what a good espresso shot should taste like. The staff here were super friendly right off the bath. Even though there is an ordering kiosk available, they still went out of their way to greet us and let us know that they are there to also take orders and answer questions. I was also a bit bummed that they were sold out of their Orange Blossom Latte. I feel like it would taste like an orange creamsicle.
