I just had my first experience with Hickey's Tree Service today. I had a huge tree that came down,…read moreknocked down my fence, and extended most of its length into a neighbor's backyard. I called Hickey's Tree Service on the recommendation of a friend, and in less than an hour, Gene Hickey was here. He checked out the job and gave us a quote which we accepted. Today, he and one of his crew came to remove the tree from the neighbors yard. They did it within 30 minutes. And it was a very large pine tree. Then there was another small tree that had fallen on the fence as well, and they removed it without me even knowing it. Then, when I went out to give him his check, he said that he and his guy were concerned about a dead cherry tree close to my fence which would threaten my daughter's car if it fell down. We had discussed that the day before, but we weren't ready to afford to have that tree taken down as well. Gene said that the job went so well, that he would take that tree down for free. Who in the world does anything for free these days? Talk about Honorable! Talk about someone I would totally trust! Hickey's Tree Service has my business for as long as I have trees, and I have probably 25 or more on my own property, plus all my neighbors are very timber-wealthy as well. I will be recommending him to all of my neighbors and friends, but I wanted to recommend him to the general public also. Gene Hickey is a good guy, One you can trust with your business!

So now I have to go buy sand to fix and level my yard back out due to their ignorance!

Howwever, North American tree service was so reasonable, professional and fast. Due to recent storms I unfortunately needed them again. Once again, they sent Jason (certified arborist) and he reviewed things advising me of what did/didn't need doing. Not just trying to make a buck. I recommend them if you have any tree issues.

Forest Tree Care came out to give me a quote on removal of two trees and pruning of another. Their…read moreoverall price was very competitive and they were able to schedule me for beginning of the following week. They arrived promptly on the scheduled day and immediately began setting up to work. The entire crew was extremely considerate and careful around my newly planted sod and my existing landscaping and gently guided all the limbs and tree bits down to the ground by hand. I have never received such delicate tree removal before (the last company I used left gouges in my front yard and holes where they let the tree trunks fall from great heights). Forest Tree Care even went above and beyond the call of duty by pointing out a vine that was going to eventually kill another one of my trees. Rather than not saying anything and letting the tree die, they took preventative measures to ensure the tree lives as long as it naturally can! That little detail, where they cared more about my yard than potential future profit is what has sealed me in as a forever customer of theirs. Please give Forest Tree Care a call for all your tree needs!

They were all prompt with being there on time which they get credit for because I appreciate that. One contractor came in at $6000 another contractor at $5000 and one more at $8500. The funny thing is, they were quoting me anywhere between six and eight Trees. The guy that quoted me on six, I pointed out two others and said what about those and he had never even noticed them. Ryan comes out shows me that there are 12 trees that really need to come down and explain why then he pointed out that my oak tree needed two branches removed in order for the oak tree to remain healthy. They would just take care of that while they were up on the lift. Also, one of the biggest trees in the front yard he said they would grind the stump down after cutting the tree so that my yard would remain looking nice. All this for $6000!!!!!!!!!! Ryan was prompt. His crew was respectful and very polite. What also impressed me was the open line of communication with Ryan. After the big snowstorm in March 2026, they were out there working while the warm weather was melting the snow pretty quickly - Ryan actually video called me to show me how saturated the yard was and explained why they would need to quit working. I appreciated them, not damaging the yard and having the courtesy to call and explain everything to me. The following weekend his men where out there, raking up sticks and then used a very powerful blower to add the finishing touches to my yard and patios. I can't say enough about Ryan and his team but they get five stars from me HANDS DOWN ANGEL AVINA
