William was more than willing to help me in a pinch. I drove out to the other shop (an hour away), grabbed my iMac 27", picked up a 4TB hard drive from Best Buy and William did the replacement. Now you may be thinking, this is no big deal, its just a hard drive, but NO. On the 27" iMac computers you have to unseal the glass and remove it to access the inside. This is a PIA! It takes a few hours and you need the right tools. Along with that you have to be able to put it back together. This is also a PIA!!!! Don't believe me? Google it. Not only did William help me in selecting the best HD for my computer but he did the full repair and data transfer in less than 24 hours!! William has become a highly recommended resource in my book. That is a complete lie--physical drive health has absolutely nothing to do with software viruses.They tried to charge me $380 to replace a "slate drive" and a hard drive--parts that don't even exist separately in my machine. When I called them out, the story constantly changed. The price suddenly dropped to a $330 "defrag" to make it last a year, and then became a $200 virus cleanup. They even asked for my private Google account password, which no legitimate technician ever needs. They kept putting me on hold to talk to a "so-called engineer" to spin more stories. Do not trust them--they just want your money.
