We were not given any options for how to prove identity for a standard license. I went to the MVD field office website and there are 31 options. The best part of the interaction at mvd express was her telling us how to go to somebody else for better help. Being ignorant of how to do your job isnt everyone else's problem, but it seems to be the new normal. If you don't know, ask your boss. read more

I recently lost my driver's license..so naturally, I very much freaked out having to drive to places without a proper driver license in hand when I very much needed it on a daily basis for driving. I made an appointment at MVD Express online and thought the process went pretty smoothly. I didn't want a chance to stop by official DMV (I hate bureaucracy and it would bug/angry me so much to have to deal with wasted time/long wait line) and didn't want to have to wait when I got to MVD Express. Turned out my visit went very smoothly and efficiently! As soon as I walked in, Ramon was able to help me immediately (I actually didn't have to wait at all because there weren't many people in the shop). Ramon asked me a few questions and took a new photo for me (he even let me take a photo twice in case I didn't like the first one!). I thought the process went so well! I was in and out of the place in just 15 minutes! Super efficient! The downside would be the cost. It was around $80 net (vs $34 if you were to chance going to DMV and deal with bureaucracy). However, given the limited free blocks of time that I had, I thought the extra payment and the fact that I didn't have to deal with any headache/wasted time and inefficiencies was so worth it! I would definitely stop by this place again (but..best if I never lose my ID any time again soon though!). read more

So with the optimism of potential future travel, I decided to use some credit card points for a voucher for TSA pre-check. Super important note, they direct you to go to IdentGO and give an address when you confirm an appointment but upon arrival you will find that it is inside the MVD Express location which I wasn't prepared for but figured out pretty quickly. My appointment moved super fast and I love that they can now finger print you digitally instead of having to do so with ink. Parking spaces were a little tight but overall, no real complaints. read more

Tried to go to our State's MVD on San Mateo. Was told we didn't need appointments anymore. The sign posted said by appointment only. We are not in Covid protocol anymore? Couldn't get an appointment before my license expired. Was in Italy for a few weeks, wasn't allowed to do before my birth month. Tried to do online and could not....made no sense to me. Eight years prior I took my passport, social security card, utility bills, etc. The State has my info. Nothing had changed. Starting calling MVD Express for an appointment. Their Call Center doesn't answer...40 minutes and no answer? Was running errands and was close to the location on Menaul just west of Washington. Sign said no appointment necessary. Crossed my fingers and went in. Was helped immediately by an employee. I told her I needed to renew my license. Took my old license and invited me to have a seat. Wasn't even 5 minutes and I was called up by Keena. These people understand customer service. Smiling and polite! Was done in 12 minutes including the testing, picture and all the paperwork. Keena told me that I didn't need all of the previous documentation. While I was doing the onscreen questions, she asked if I did have my passport. Apparently, there was something missing from 8 years prior...no wonder I couldn't complete online. Keena was competent. How refreshing in this day and age. I did notice the other staff members showed patience and were most respectfully as well. Keena, Thank You! Look, going to MVD is a nightmare no matter what you need done. My husband and I both needed to get our Real ID's so we could fly on our upcoming trip and we loved that we could make online appointments here. We walked in, past the line, and got immediate service. Lauren helped us and she was super nice and efficient. She made the Real ID process seem easy after all the months of dread! She was able to work with both of us at the same time and make the process super smooth! A lot of it was done on a tablet to make sure we could register to vote and be organ donors. There is a convenience fee to be able to go through MVD Express but it is worth the friendly faces and the Saturday services! read more

The representative seems to be adamant about ensuring I was not able to get a new license. The rep first objected to the name variation on my docs, then objected to a doc not being in color, both objections were overcome with input from a more senior rep. The rep further objected based on a partial match to a criminal record. All this was after waiting over 30 mins at this "express" location when the website said "no waiting". It was overall an unpleasant experience and they could not help with a common MVD process. read more

Expensive, rude and not all that Expressy!! With the appt system the NM DMV uses it takes less time and is way cheaper. The level of rude still kinda exists there but it is cheaper and faster. MVD Express is a joke with their revolving door of employees. read more

I walked in on busy Saturday afternoon without an appointment (and brought a book to read for my 1 hour wait), because I had waited until the LAST minute and had to renew my license then. The staff were competent, pleasant and moved us through quickly, with preference given to those who made appointments. I was getting my first Real ID driver's license, and their webpage gave me a good list to bring with me (It took me longer at home to unearth my paper substantiations than to sit in the store-front and wait to be called - but I'm not much for filing). Near the end of COVID-era restrictions, I went in with an appointment to get the TSA Pre-Check done and they were prompt, courteous and proficient. I also used them to sell a car in June 2023. This transaction occurred on a slow Tuesday afternoon and there was no wait time without an appointment. I will go back and happily pay the small surcharge to be so well treated. (I won't rag on the State employees, I'll just keep going to MVD Express on Menaul!), (Today, 9/16/23, the License issuer was Lenae, and she was very kind to an old lady.) read more

It was worth paying extra to get what I needed done in a timely manner. I had no appointment yet I was helped promptly and the ladies working displayed good customer service. They had one impatient customer and they handled it well-- with politeness and professionalism. Mind you, this customer kept interrupting the employees while they were helping out other customers So kudos to the ladies! Josephine was helpful, friendly and efficient. She greeted me before I reached her window. She communicated effectively when she needed to step away to assist another worker. She also spoke clearly and repeated herself patiently when needed (due to the mask and protective screens we were dealing with). I've been to this location three times and they have moved people through the lines quickly, especially if you have an appointment. I have yet to wait more than 5 minutes past my appointment time anytime I've gone. read more

This MVD express location has always gone above and beyond to help get things done. A $30 convenience fee is so worth it for the shorter wait, helpful people, and getting things accomplished. I was assisting my step daughter to get her first license. After three days and multiple other locations of regular DMV and private locations as well we were stuck and frustrated. We tried once again at this location. They reviewed our documents with us ahead of time and helped her print exactly what she needed from her college for the necessary proof of residency. They are a joke. In early July I used them to license my new car (1st new car in 17 years). I rely on MVD express to get it right. Paid my ' service fee' and headed home with my new car ( yay) - 3 hrs later I get a call that they forgot to address the tax issue and I need to come back... really? Quite a hassle for me. I go back -long story short. They charge me ANOTHER service fee and overcharge my taxes by $600!!! They acted quite put out that I ask that they refund the service fee for their error...and Now they do nothing to advocate for me to help me get my tax overpayment back and said it's basically my problem... mid October and still have received my overpayment refunded. I do post good reviews too!! But in my opinion this place is a racket and does not deserve your hard earned money. I would be elated to hear from MVD express!! read more

Everyone hates going to these places. EVERYONE. I don't care who you are... no one says, YAY! I'm going to the MVD today, "I'm so excited! I can't wait!" Ha-ha!! That would be the day! So, with that in mind, I'm writing this review. Yesss, there is a $24.95 plus tax for each transaction, on top of the state fee that is charged with the services that are provided here but it comes the fact that you don't have to wait 90 minutes to 2 hours, instead, you wait maybe 5 minutes to the most 20 minutes-tops, if that. Plus, you can go to their website and look ahead to see if there is a wait. ALWAYS ALWAYS look on their website really quick at their locations and see which locations have a wait before heading out, then see which one works best for you. You also have the option of making an appointment, which I'm told, you sometimes still have to wait, but for some items, it may be necessary. But, with all that being said, I like this MVD Express. It is my favorite out of all of them. It is typically well-staffed, fast-moving, short-wait times, and seems to be prompt and intelligent and courteous staff. I haven't had any issues. Just be sure you know what you are supposed to bring ahead of time like you would with any other government location. That is ultimately YOUR responsibility, not theirs. read more

Now whoever runs this business and hires these bozos deserves to go out of business. How difficult is it to have a consistent and complete answer to a simple question? "What do I need to bring to get my drivers license renewed?" Three times I was not given the complete list so three times I wasted my time going there. Ok, blame me for not asking enough questions. I've had such a hard time transferring a title for my family's 1999 camper. I took the camper from Illinois to New Mexico. Surprisingly, the process in Illinois was straightforward and easy. I bring it here and attempt to register through MVD Express and have had to go back 3 times because of lack of communication from the agents at the MVD Express on Menaul. They are either not smart or lack training. On top of it, their customer service was dismal. So disappointed. I'd rather go to the regular MVD and get it done correctly the first time. And, it doesn't appear that having an appt makes any difference. I still waited each time I went there. read more
