Came here to buy my prom dress and I found what I wanted but my experience at the store was terrible - I got the perfect dress for me and I still left unhappy as my experience was frustrating and put me in a really bad mood. Several other customers expressed the same feeling to me at check out. The staff didn't even pretend to care about the customers, not to mention that my dress had a rip in it and they didn't take any off the price or offer to fix it. Also, DO NOT trust the prices they have posted online, I came looking to try on a dress that the website said was $350 but then I got there and the actual price was $500. I have read all these reviews and don't get it. We have been to Muzzies three different times and had a fantastic experience each time. The girls that are helping are knowledgeable and very sweet and we always walk out of there with a phenomenal dress. It is definitely cram packed full of dresses and sometimes so full that it's a little hard to see everything but to me that's what's nice about it. They have so much inventory and so many different styles and it's so great to be able to have that kind of variety. read more

Would have given zero stars if possible. Attempted to shop on a Monday for a prom dress. They have an enormous inventory, but their space is limited and the dresses are crammed together like sardines. We were the only people in the store when we went, yet the two salespeople did not offer us assistance to navigate the store. We found 5 dresses to try on. Four of them were ripped or damaged, yet there are signs in the store that remind you "All Sales Final." If we are going to invest $300-500 on a dress, I expect it to come without stains, tears, or frayed beads/missing sequins. I was so disappointed with the quality of the merchandise, the lack of customer service, and the overall layout of the store. We will not return. read more

Most stuck up rude employees ever literally only two helpful ladies (older woman and blonde).They were saying rude things about my mom and I right in front of us. Dressing rooms are too small, no mirror, and apparently you can't take pictures even though the camera is facing in the dressing room and no one else is in the picture. You have to walk to the front of the store to see how the dress looks in the mirror and keep in mind the store is small so there's girls everywhere in one spot and they all just stare at you and give weird looks. We were going to purchase a $600 dress and they still wanted us to pay an $10 for a dress bag keep in mind the dress would've came out to be $650. My mom also asked the lady to call a manger to see if there was any way to get the dress bag included and she rolled her eyes and said no it's $10. The dress was coming apart in a few areas and she got so impatient when my mom wanted me to make sure the dress wouldn't come apart. Never again. read more

The pathway between dresses is a tight fit, however they have a very wide selection and a nice viewing area with mirrors for when you try on a dress. The staff greeted me very nicely and continued to ask if i needed help. Nothing like the reviews here. They only let you take pictures infront of a little wall they have due to the dressing rooms being close to the viewing area which is understandable. I found the perfect prom dress very easily. Sizes are limited but the staff does their best to make sure you find something you're happy with. read more

I do not recommend this business if you like to receive what you pay for. If paying too much for a product is your cup of tea, then this is your establishment to patron. The customer service was great, and my daughter found the perfect dress for her senior prom. However, I was stunned at the price I paid for it because the dress was missing a clasp and needed to be steam-ironed. This dress was not on the sale rack, either. Although I can sew and borrow a steam iron, I'm still stunned that these two minor details were not included in the $433 we paid. I expected to have a ready-to-wear dress, and was greatly disappointed that this dress needs work. My disappointment will deter me from both recommending this place to anybody as well as returning for my younger daughters' prom dresses. read more

I have visited Muzzies several times in the past 3 years and have gotten all my homecoming dresses here! They always have a good selection of designers especially Sherri Hill which can be hard to find at places to try on! Recently I found a dress for NCL and a really sweet girl helped me and they had a good selection for the event I was looking for! I'll be back for my next years homecoming and prom dress! read more

All the dresses run extremely small. I'm a 12 and even the 16's were too small. I was ok with going up a few sizes only to see that there was nothing available even tho they say they go up to a size 22. Most of the dresses were torn, prob bc they aren't the sizes they say they are!! read more

Do not go here if you are not white. I am African-American and went in there looking for a prom dress. I was treated like they didn't even want me there. They focused mainly on the white customers and rarely talked to me, let alone acknowledged me. Also, I asked them if they could sponsor me in the Miss Teen Houston pageant, they said they don't "sponsor individual people". When I went to the pageant, I was taken aback when I saw the program book and saw that they had sponsored a contestant...who was an individual like me. Needless to say, that contestant was white, of course. It's ridiculous that they would lie to my face. It is so sad how this is 2015 and racism still exists. I will never return to this establishment ever again and have told everyone I know (including white people) about Muzzie's racist ways. read more

Muzzie's has some nice dresses. Perfect for the younger girls shopping for a unique dress to wear to prom or homecoming. They do have an exclusive selection of some gorgeous evening/pageant gowns...but be prepared to spend $800-$1000. My advice to any new goers would be to call ahead, schedule an appointment, try to at least give them kind-of an idea of what you're hoping to find, your dress size and budget! Also, I'd read some of the reviews, and expected the worst, but was pleasantly surprised. There are tons of dresses, but they are color coordinated and sorted by size. When I thought of prom dress shopping I dreaded it. I left my first store downhearted and with a head full of stress. However, when I got to Muzzie's the owner greeted us with a smile and made us feel very welcomed. We looked around and all of the staff members there were extremely helpful, and they catered to me which made my experience a whole lot better. They are super modern and perfect for teenage girls. They even carry the latest styles from top designers like Sherri Hill. 1. Every employee was rude and disrespectful which sets the atmosphere for the store. 2. Employees treat their customers like they are in their way rolling their eyes constantly at customers. 3. Not one employee smiled which is shameful when a store expects you to pay $250-$700 for a dress. 3. The pink rugs in the dressing rooms have a brown coating on top from dirt. 4. The dressing room "doors" are a thin piece of cloth over a pole which is hard to slide. 5. There are no mirrors in the tiny dressing rooms for a private quick dress check. Your child has to walk out to the bridal style mirror and platform area where there is no privacy from all store customers. Poor setup. 6. They have 1 sofa to sit on in front of the mirrors outside the dressing room area. It sits about 5 people shoulder to shoulder. The rest of the customers are left standing in a small crowded area. 7. The dresses are crammed so tightly that it is challenging to pull them out to look at them and return them to the rack. 8. Other customers are extremely rude-one woman pushed me to the side with her shoulder to get in front of me. I understand businesses cannot control customer behavior. I prefer to shop where customers are courteous. 9. Did I mention the employees are rude? It is almost comical how rude they are. Save yourself the stress. Shop somewhere else! read more

Worst experience I have ever had and the total opposite of how I imagined prom dress shopping to be. If you like to be just a number then this place is for you. Told by lady at door what color tag related to sizes then We were left to "browse" - pretty hard when you are falling over dresses packed onto racks some in bags some not ( why anyone would ever want to spend hundreds on a dress people are stomping on blows my mind ) we then had to join the queue for the boxes passing for fitting rooms with no mirrors !!! So you have no option but to come out in front of people. Really if people want to copy dresses we just can go online don't understand this no photography rule. The store is so crammed full and cardboard boxes stuffed on top of fixtures and all over the place. I had a great experience at muzzie's! I went in looking for a prom dress and found my perfect dress! I actually went in 2 times during the week...the first time I went I found a beautiful dress, but it was a size too big and not the greatest color on me, I still decided to hold it and keep looking around. When I returned I re-tried on the dress that was being held and really liked it, but didn't LOVE it. I then went up to a employee and asked if they had the same dress in a smaller size and turns out they did have it in turquoise! I tried it on and it fit perfectly and I fell in LOVE. All the employees were very helpful, and gave great suggestions for how to adjust dresses to fit into my school guidelines! If you are having any troubles finding your perfect dress I would definitely give muzzie's a try!! read more

I have been searching for my prom dress for a while and was so thrilled when I finally found it at Muzzie's. I have been to multiple shops throughout Houston, Miami, Boca, and New Orleans and by far this has been the best place. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and it was just an overall great experience. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone and everyone. This is such an amazing dress shop! I have found the absolute perfect dress for homecoming, prom, and my sorority formal for four years in a row now. They have a huge selection in every single size. The women who work there are very kind. They do give their input on dresses which can be a little over whelming but they're never pushy. This is the first place I look when I need a formal gown because I know I can find the perfect dress in two hours or less of looking at their store, every time. I saw a bunch of negative reviews so I was a little worried about what we encountered, but it was GREAT! All the dressing room girls were very helpful! And they kept a very BUZY store moving. I love the "7" dress rule because then you aren't waiting around for hours. You can even take pictures a bit have to do so at the front of the store. Love this place! This was our 3rd year to purchase dresses from there. The dresses are organized by length, size and color. They also have a generous sale rack where we found my daughter's prom dress last year. The staff is fantastic. They help if you are in need but give you space to shop and talk with whomever is with you. This year, my daughter had an idea of a prom dress she would like. They did not have the dress but after she tried several others on, Taylor P, found a dress that combined everything my daughter liked from each individual dress she tried on. The result, perfect! I am more than upset right now with the service provided by Muzzies. My daughter and I were there last Saturday and placed a special order on a gorgeous dress. The girl that helped us took all the information needed for the special order. We waited for a call to confirmed the order but no one called so I called them Wednesday and they told me they were gonna call me back didn't hear from them, I waited Thursday for a call nothing so this morning I called again and again they told me they were gonna call me back which this time they did called me but to tell me that they couldn't find any order. What really upsets me is that She didn't even took the time to apologized or even to come up with a solution even when I told her that my daughter's prom is in 2 weeks.... I am sure this review won't affect them, they will still sell dresses left and right but honestly is NOT FAIR, having to start all over to look for a Prom dress in such a short period of time is very stressing..... After a day of shopping for my mother's dress for my wedding we decided to stop into Muzzie's to see if they had anything my little sister could wear to my wedding. My mother and sister had Starbucks in their hands when we walked in. We walk in and the place is packed, dirty, and poorly staffed. I stood at the makeshift desk for a while, got frustrated and decided to walk around to try and find someone. I walk away for less than a minute to come back to an older woman walking up to my sister and snatching her drink out of her hand. I walk up and ask what the problem was and she said we do not allow drinks inside the store. she said she grabbed the drink to go put it on the table. The table is a small dirty table out in the open. I snatched the drink from the woman's hand and said look I understand she's a kid but you, a stranger, do not need to take anything out of my sisters hand (she's 10). I instructed my sister to put it in the car instead. That's when she turned and spoke to my mother and told her to put her drink on the nasty table. I understand a child but a grown woman shouldnt have to be talked to that way. A little back ground, my mother has cancer, no hair, and is very susceptible to germs. She cannot put her drink on that table where it isn't covered and out in the open to where if someone goes by and coughs by it and she were to drink it she could get very sick. It is noticeable that she has cancer, having no hair and me helping her and all, but even after explaining the woman didn't car. We left the establishment immediately. No dress is nice enough to have to deal with service like this! Go somewhere else! read more

The store itself is a nightmare. When you walk in there is a mess of dresses squished together on crowded racks. Once you dig out a dress the line to try on a dress was 30 minutes long! Plan ahead. Their dressing rooms don't have mirrors or any hooks to hang your clothes and purse on. They have a few nice designers but putting on the dresses is impossible and it took me over 5 minutes of standing in the hallway holding the front of my dress to my chest as i tried to flag down someone to help me. Organized. The sizes and colors of the dresses are very organized and I like that lol. BUT some of the girls who work there are rude and don't smile or anything. But whatever. Prices are high but I found the perfect dress and just cause the zipper was broken I got it for a good sale. One other bad thing is for some reason they don't have any mirrors in the dressing rooms so you have to come out in front of everyone with your dress on???
