He gave me a couple of options to rectify the situation to my complete satisfaction. This is really the only issue that I have had in over 30 years of shopping there. I have updated my review to 4 stars (because I can't give 4 1/2). The only reason that they did not receive 5 is due to the delay in getting back to me. Do not hesitate shopping at Darcy's. They charge a $50 fee to remove a lock for you even if you own the lock . If you decide to cancel with them you must give one month's notice. I have been with them for 6 months so I think this is an automatic increase for every customer . So they bait you with the price and then increase it. Incredibly steep price increase and I honestly cannot support companies that gouge their customers so I'm out . The price at yellowhead storage is $85 a month and they give discounts for seniors or military and you're not forced to get insurance . I had been there for years previously and I do not recall a price increase. For 165 a month you can get a huge storage container.

For those not familiar with eco stations, most things you bring in you don't get charged. Only of it's things they can't recycle or if it is plain garbage. For my case I didn't pay anything and can't good it wasn't going into the landfill. Friendly staff at this location and they all will ask enough questions to help get a person to the right areas/assist with unloading. Bins are decently spaced out for good flow of traffic and ease to pull up. Bin area and surrounding lot was well cleared of snow. The main centre yesterday was operating with one bay (#2) and still had numerous staff on hand to help unload and sort. As I was driving in, I noticed some great examples of upcycled Christmas cheer and I'm kicking myself for not taking more photos of the creative things like the tire Christmas tree. I do want to warn yelpers that this location has a very subtle entrance (you see a very clear large sign for the eco station but not at the entrance only at the curb along the street driving up to the actual entrance and less clear sign positioned further back indicating the entrance of the eco station roadway). It oddly has a much longer road than most to enter winding around the 1/2 the facility (assuming that's in order to help with summer higher traffic flow, as I've seen other stations back up with vehicles waiting on the main streets before but I mention this as one you turn in there's no getting back out until the official exit). I don't mind that bit of extra driving and as I was one of the few there, it was quick but I found it odd that a city facility doesn't have the road cleared within its fences but only the yard area of the bins. So definitely make sure you have winter tires to make it in and out of this facility area if you go during the colder months of the year. I also want to add that I didn't know there was a reuse centre at this location. Unfortunately I didn't know about it until exiting (when taking the photo), so I didn't ask about operation hours nor did staff mention if it was even open or that it was even there. Maybe it has different operating hours at the moment or is closed in winter? Maybe it's like the other reuse centres and not open yet? Who knows during the pandemic, as things can change so much in just a week. I'll be sure to investigate further on my next visit and report back.

It's an experience that makes me realize how privileged I am to be an Edmontonian!! *sniff* Anyhow, this Eco Station is a part of a futuristic mecca where conscientious citizens drop off recyclable, hazardous and/or reusable materials for little to no cost, cuz that's how we roll. Last time we dropped off a BBQ and picked up a patio chair. I also get the sense that this is a place for young people to get work experience and build their CVs. I am very happy my municipal taxes pay for a service like this. There's a Reuse centre onsite as well.

It was exactly what the Alberta depot website had estimated. We've never had such a smooth refund process. Be warned, it might get busy with the wait times in the summer, as there are only two windows, and they are drive up. I liked the drive up process, as it's handy not having to empty out the car; super for large orders, or when you have kiddos with you. It's a smaller depot, but I liked it. The one we usually go to has been skimming us, so this will be our go to from now on.

So I and my family…read morehave been shopping for a great place to park our summer toys, and one name that kept popping up was Jimmy's RV Storage. So fun fact, there is no Jimmy working there, but it's actually a legacy name for the late father who once owned this RV Parking. We had some things that needed to be checked in order to find the right RV storage place. 1. It had to be close to Edmonton - Why drive an hour in the opposite direction from where you are going to go 2. It had to have easy access - Driving back roads in the dark on farmland isn't fun, only to find out the place is closed 3. It has to have solid security - I paid good money for my stuff, and I'd like to keep it in good condition 4. Price has to be reasonable - No point paying big bucks for something you only use for a limited time. 5. Staff on site for help and security. 6. Lots that are actually nice and graded After shopping around, Jimmy's RV was the best choice for us. It's just off of yellow head highway, so when we are coming back to town, it's just one quick turn-off. They have staff during working hours, which monitor security, answer questions, and can provide help and supplies. After hours, there is staff close by and you have Card Access and 2 Gates to pass through. The Security here is over the top, with over a dozen high-resolution cameras covering the storage area. Last time I stopped by it looked like they were putting in high-powered lighting as well, not sure when that will be completed (I don't think any other lot would have this). The lot itself is well managed, and graded, so going in and out no matter the season is great. Part of the reason I'm sharing all of this, is I am constantly blown away by the team that works here. Recently when I went to get my RV out, the engine wouldn't turn, and I had a flat. The team on site helped in every way they could including helping me boost my engine, inflating my tire, and providing help to the closest location to where I can get both checked out. I think this type of kindness and service deserves attention. :)
