This is the first time I have used this car wash. The bays are tight and the partitions aren't angled so the set up isn't the best when trying to park. The water pressure was less than a house hose and couldn't remove the bugs from the front of the truck...which was why I went there, as the rest of the truck was clean. Also, the card tap/timer is sketchy and doesn't give you a timed amount so you guess your vehicle will cost $10 to wash and that's what it charges you. If you don't use the full amount, too bad...that is what you got charged and will stay on and until the magical time runs out. I left there, even after using the brush, to find bugs still on the windshield and front of the truck. Definitely won't go back and I was surprised, since Hughes generally has decent car washes. I think this one is the lemon. read more

Hughes is always my go to car wash place! I agree with the previous reviewer that it almost feels like a race or a challenge to see how fast you can get your car washed. At a $1 a token, this is definitely the best deal in town... Well, aside from your own front yard ;-) I usually skip the wax and the foam brush I only use a bit because when I go to rinse that foam soap off it just flies everywhere and makes me crazy. I can wash my car for $4 and my minivan for $5 easy peasy with the high pressured soap gun and rinse... and that's good enough for me! read more

This is probably the best Hughes Fuel & Car wash, wash bay has 15 stalls which means virtually no waiting to wash your vehicle. Always clean with great staff. Now its open 24hrs which for night shift folk like me is huge, saves me big time on my weekly car wash and can go to bed earlier on Saturdays. Hughes has a looney car wash and I get a kick out of these places. Washing a car can be pretty boring and many people put it off but the dollar car wash helps add some excitement. I usually try and see how fast I can wash my car when I go here and see how little I can spend doing it. It may be weird but really makes washing a car a bit more interesting. read more

Yesterday was finally a warm day on a weekend, so I decided to take my filthy orange beast for a wash. There was literally no lineup when I arrived. Which was super rare but awesome. I had to go in to buy some coins in order to start and the lady behind the till was super friendly. I paid for my coins and was going to walk away without my receipt but she called me back for my gas coupon on the receipt! I didn't even know those were on there so it was a pleasant surprise! The equipment to wash your car seemed used but still in good condition. The brush wasn't super dirty or full of rocks, which is my biggest concern. The garbage can wasn't full so I was able to empty my car out. The attendant even waited until I was leaving to go grab the garbage to empty it! The only concern I had, was there was a nail on the group beside my car when I pulled up. That would not be good if someone would have rolled over it. Just a quick check prior to someone else pulling up would be ideal. read more

I went to hughes to wash my car this weekend and was very disappointed. It seems like every time I go the cycle gets shorter and shorter. The vacuum hardly sucks anything up, it merely gathered the small pebbles into a pile so I could remove them by hand. The vacuum also fell apart while I was using it, wasting what little of the cycle I has to try to put the attachment back on. There was only 3 matt hangers as one was broken leaving me to wash my matt on the ground. The wash bay was dirty and littered with small papers. It was dry when I pulled in so they had been there a while. I went to the 99st location and will not return. I am sure my bucket at home and hand held little vacuum can do the same job, without having to deal with the lazy and inattentive staff at the front of the store. read more

I went to Hughes car wash today and was totally disappointed. The pressure was low like I was using a garden hose. Plus I used the foam brush which worked good but when I tried to rinse my car, there was still soap coming out even after having it on rinse for 4 cycles. I went in to tell the " ladies" at the till , who were totally rude, and they said there was nothing they could do about it, and that's just the way it is. So, maybe consider using someone else who holds their business accountable. Too bad for the thumbs down, but, "that's the way it is"!They could've said sorry about that, we'll get that looked at. In the mean time here's your money back?? PR training would be helpful as well. read more

Got accused of gas and dash. Call from EPS to meet them at the 91 Street location. Had to drive 30 Kim's to show my credit cards had a preauthorized amount for $100 so EPS were happy but Hughes wanted me to pay because they say it will not be charged to my credit card. He gave me A big 7.00 discount for my inconvenience. Wow, we get a call from EPS, drive 60 km return. Total bullshit, never ever will I go back to this retailer and I'll advise everyone I know as well. read more

The wash cycles have gotten ridiculously short and their soap allotment leaves a lot to be desired. This combined with the fact they only take tokens now. Basically you spend just as much time plugging in tokens as you do washing your car. read more
