Wash tokens are now $3.50 for 3-1/2 minutes. One token is long enough to wash and rinse, but not quite enough time to vacuum. Sometimes, the soapy brush still has some foam on it from the last customer. I'll use that up on my windshield before I insert my token. You're welcome. It's really busy in there. Way too expensive. I went here because my usual coin car wash on Calgary Trail was closed. There I can do a quick wash and wax for $4-5. At Em's you have to buy tokens which cost $3 for 3 minutes. I bought 4 hoping I would have leftovers. Nope. A quick wash and wax I would normally pay $5 for just cost me $12. On the plus side it is a nice new building. It also wasn't too busy when I got there. My usual place sometimes has a line-up. Em's is also a big, clean facility and warm inside in winter. If you want cheap and quick this isn't the place. Personally I need to find a cheaper back-up car wash. read more

I know people have said that Em's is too expensive, they said that they put Hughes Carwash tokens in the Em's Carwash machine and the manager gave them a hard time... But I had a great experience here. To be fair I usually get my car serviced at 'The Mechanic of Dad', so it's not like I've toured the city in search of the best deals, but I thought these guys were great! They were really nice, changed my oil quickly, and honoured my expired coupon! I like the idea of supporting a place that's a little more local then sayyy Mr Lube or another place like that. It looks like they only give 3 minutes again for 3.00. The one thing I like about this location is that it has a visual count down timer to budget your time accordingly. Service is friendly. I wasn't impressed that they made you purchase at least 4 tokens if you wanted to pay by credit card. Come on this is the cost of doing business! read more

It's a good car wash. Tokens are $3.25 each but they go a long way. I could wash my car and my bike with 2 tokens. The degreaser works. Staff helpful. Hot soap too. Only thing is that it is slow to switch between modes. You enter through the BACK. read more

I have been to Em's a few times and always was surprised by the quality of the machines and the good customer service. I decided to wash my car here while driving by so i pulled in. I realized they the wash machines take tokens so i entered their service store. I looked at the prices and decided that 3 tokens for 9 dollars was what i would purchase. Although 9 dollars for 9 minutes of washing seems a bit expensive. At most self serve car washes i get a clean car for around 3-4 dollars. So i pull out my debit card and was told i would have to buy 5 tokens if i wanted to use my debit card. This is too much for a simple car wash, what kind of store makes you purchase 15 dollars worth of tokens just for the privilege of using the debit device to pay. I slid my bank card back into my wallet and turned around to walk out of the store. While leaving the clerk asked if i would be back, I said, "probably not". There are plenty of other car washes that are much less expensive. read more

This isn't a bad car wash. One token ($3) equals 3mins of whatever allowing you to switch to different modes. This makes it pricier than other options, but what I liked was than the two times I've been here there was no line up. Maybe the price turns everyone off, but what you pay in price you gain in time. It's a tough choice. The countdown is large and clear. All functions have the appropriate pressure to be effective. I should say that I used the coupon on the EM's 25$ coupon book to get free tokens her (it's two coupons of free tokens in the book). However, since I change my own oil now I probably won't get free tokens again. Tough to say if I'll ever be back now that I have to pay for token. I think the special is 33 tokens for 99$ with an extra 7 thrown in. It is pricey, but I do like the set up and availability of this car wash. read more

I have never seen a car wash sooooo clean! I guess that's a good thing, knowing that it's kept up and maintained. I didn't really notice the price. It's going to cost you something everywhere you go. I liked that I was able to just go in, get my tokens, wash my car and go. It was a mess, but I was able to do what I needed to at my leisure. The gentleman who gave me my tokens was nice and friendly as well. I'd come back here, seeing that I have leftover tokens, and it's not that far away. I happened to be in the area with a few minutes to kill and decided to find a car wash. From now on, I'll be going out of my way to frequent Em's. Great service, the attendant was most helpful. The machine was easy to use. The pressure was great. The place is kept very clean. I LOVE that they use tokens. I went in hoping they'd have a change machine as I only had bills, and was pleasantly surprised to see that the machines run on tokens that you can buy with cash or card! Will be back! read more

Every time I go to EMS, half of the stalls are closed, and the sign outside does not indicate "Full", so I have driven in hoping to wash my car, however the other half of stalls are in use. This is getting very frustrating, I have not been able to wash my car in weeks because I have had to wait for a very long time as people take their time washing and drying their vehicles. It seems like the "closed" stalls should be open so people can wash their vehicles, the stalls are not broken, the workers just want less work. Not sure if I will be going back, convenient location and I have several tokens, however EMS is an inconvenience to use. read more

Even though this place is a little more expensive (~$3/token, I ended up using two tokens the other day and accomplished a soap rinse, rinse and a wax) I felt like the quality of the service and facilities really made a great experience. The attendant was super busy but he was really friendly and kept everything running smoothly, I really appreciated how calm he was even though the place was super busy. I went here to wash my truck, choosing this place because of its relatively central location. The attendant was so friendly and even helped me get rid of some stubborn stains and rust spots. NEVER GO HERE!!! I mistakenly put a Hughes car wash token in the Em's car wash machine and it became stuck, by design. The owner refused to open the machine and retrieve the token for me. He gave me all kinds of attitude about how it was too much trouble for him. Complete jerk! read more

Best pressure in town! Very clean. The only gripe I have is that I go out of my way to wash my car there only to show up and you're closed even when your hours say otherwise. Just cause it's raining or snowing doesn't mean I need a clean! read more

I go to this place basically every week. Today the worker came up to me and said I have to leave because I was wiping my car with a towel. I told him I already spent 7 tokens ($3.25 each) and I am drying my car once its done I will vacuum inside of my car, he was like no you must be fast. He even told me he will return my money for left over coins so I leave. Really rude! I do not recommend this place to anyone. There are other car wash services that charge $1 a token and have really friendly stuff. It is a shame for EM's lube to have a rude and disrespectful workers. read more

I have gone to em's for years but not any longer. The attendant made me feel like I am some kind of asshole because I only wish to purchase two tokens? First she tells me I should budget more money on my car wash? I overlook her remark and continue about my business and she follows me into the stall? She went so far as accusing me of throwing the equipment around because I dropped the scrub brush to start rinsing with the wand before my time ran out? I go to Yelp to find another place to wash my car and I read that many others are being scrutinized for simply wishing to purchase a few tokens. She has so deterred me that I will no longer get my oil changes there either which is a real shame because it is close to where I live and I get them for all 4 of the cars in our family as well as a few that I sell each year. :( read more
