The last day they had roughly two hours of work and left to allow for drying again, telling me they would come back next morning. I had to message them 40 min after they were supposed arrive to ask if they were still coming, they did not reach out preemptively. At that point my husband and I decided to just finish ourselves, as they said they could come at 11 or Monday. In addition, two of the 4 days they came they had to leave to go get materials (which they ask for 1/2 up front to purchase materials). Both times they were out from the project for 1.5-2 hours (one day they had to leave twice). The work was good, with the exception of one area that we had to repaint. But poor time management made this experience not good.

The unrelenting heat and humidity caused us to wonder whether having a painter work (inside and outdoors) in the heat was a good idea. Scheduled to arrive at 7:00 A.M., Leroy arrived twenty minutes early to get started. From setting up for work in both areas, to finishing and cleaning up all the prep and protective covering he hung in the bathroom, Leroy completed his work carefully and efficiently. The ceiling in the bath looks wonderful. Two coats of black paint on our front doors have given the doors and our home a fresh appearance and reflect the work of a master painter. There's a portion of interior wall painting that was done very well. Some lines are perfectly sharp…read moreand professional. Just don't hire them to do crown molding on high ceilings. And go over the quotes very carefully. I didn't and on painting day found out what I was expecting was not what the painters had planned. They did work with me and got started. But then needed more money because they needed more paint. Shouldn't the professional know how much paint is required for the job? I spoke to another paint company who was shocked I was asked for more money after they were half way through the job. Do I have the option to say no? Not really, I need the job done. Also the communication between the scheduler and the painting team seems faulty, as I expressed clearly about fragrance allergies causing migraines yet no one seemed to care and arrived with cologne and scented clothing. So 5 star painting please fix that, a migraine is no joke. The photo attached is the "corrected" crown molding ... this wobbly line at the bottom is after I asked it to be redone and it's just getting worse because the guy added more caulk over the mess made before and immediately painted under it. Now I need to hire someone else.

We had Nations scheduled to drywall in a loft above a garage, and their estimate, scheduling, and communication were all great from the start. When they showed up it turned out that there was some miscommunication on the scope of the job, but it was 100% my fault on that front. Nations crew on-site were very understanding and said they would go ahead and get started and we would figure it out if we need to adjust he final price. I also added in a piece of patchwork in the living room from some overheard lighting that was completed the week prior. Nations knocked out the framing and drywall as well as the ceiling patchwork and did all of it within the ordinal deadline. In addition to the ceiling patch, they went above and beyond and took it upon themselves to fill in a small patch above the mantle where the election mis-cut the hole for the recessed media box. They didn't even mention the mantle patch they did for me, which told me they really just did it because they care about the customer, because they absolutely did not need to do that for me. Without a doubt I will be hiring these guys for my future projects, because I know it will be fair priced, done in a timely manner, and they clearly care about the work they complete.
