I reached out for an initial visit and spoke with by far the rudest and most arrogant receptionist I have ever encountered. Not only did she talk down to me the entire time, she argued with every little statement or response I made, and refused to be cooperative in any meaningful way. She liked to add, "I've been in this business a long time" with every response she made. I have never been so disgusted and offended by a medical secretary in my life. The perpetual condescending tone, the offensive quips and jabs at my "knowledge of dentistry," and non-stop sighing are a new low for me. If Dr. Roula Kapetanos Panas is reading this, I want you to know that you lost a customer and a patient all due to the arrogance and rude behavior of your secretary Susan. When I arrived today, he told me he was working on my back filling (something he had mentioned at my last visit that eventually needed to be done; but never something I agreed to having done right away or with him for that matter). I already have my own dentist, but used Dr. Gonzalez for an emergency bonding since my dentist wasn't available. His assistant Juilana (who by the way is very sweet), even mentioned to me on the phone and when booking the appt that it was a follow-up, so I was already put off that Dr. Gonzalez took the liberty of doing what he wanted without my consent so he had more billable invoices he could send my insurance company. Secondly, I've always had a bad gag reflex when fingers or tools are in my mouth. Unfortunately, I've never been able to get over this, but my actual dentist (Dr. Bartolazo - one of the best in NYC) has always been patient with me and always makes sure I'm doing fine along the way. Dr. Gonzalez, on the other hand, was very rude and irritated with me because he couldn't get his needle in to numb my mouth. He started going off, saying he has never in his 23 years seen a patient who gags so much and literally threw his tool down on the table out of anger and frustration. In all my years of going to doctors and dentists, I've never ever seen a professional act this way to his patient. I immediately told him to let me up, as I wasn't going to deal with someone who treated me like this. He was just horrific with no bedside manner. I really can't believe he is still in business. I'm definitely going to report this to my insurance company as well. I should have known better after reading a couple of the reviews on here about how horrible he is. Be forewarned! In the process, he caused an even bigger problem with an unrelated tooth (he damaged a crown I had put in 2 years prior). I finally gave up and went to another dentist to fix the work he did. Additionally, Dr. Molina did a lot of work without warning me first. For example, he caught me by surprise when he started drilling my teeth without even telling me what he was fixing beforehand...when I asked, he said he was applying "medicine"...but what was the medicine for and why hadn't I been asked/told before he started using the drill? I have been going to another dentist since then and have been much happier. Dr. Molina is a pleasant man and has affordable prices, but his work and communication has not been good in my experience. When it comes to my teeth, I would rather shell out a little more money and have it done right.

My whole life I suffered with bad teeth for many reasons, some of which were medical. I've been to dentists who were cold and intimidating , and did not make the process any easier so then I wouldn't go back and the problems would of course worsen. That all changed when I met Dr. Arthur Isakov at Dental Concepts in Glen Cove. I was very nervous and apprehensive, but I walked into a very sterile and clean environment with very high tech equipment. As soon as I met Dr. Isakov I knew I liked him. He has such a warm and funny personality. He is very friendly and approachable. I came to him in a very serious condition where I needed to have all my teeth removed and replaced with either dentures or implants. I've never been more afraid of having to do something like I was with this. But Dr. Isakov and his assistant Luz were both so gentle and caring. The two of them together were so calming and reassuring. Every few minutes he would stop and ask if I was okay. He pulled them all out so quickly! I hardly had time to realize that it was done. I became very emotional afterwards because it was a scary and overwhelming experience for me, but they both hugged me and reassured me that I was okay. Dr. Isakov made sure I understood the post op instructions . That night he actually called me to check on me. He said I can call his cell phone at any time if I had any questions or concerns. He then called me several times over the next few days to make sure I was okay. I have never had a dentist care so much and take time out of their very busy days to check on me. And it's not like he calls to check on me because he feels obligated. You can tell how genuine and sincere he is. He truly cares about his patients. I have my son going to him now and I've told all of Glen Cove about my experience. For me it was so much more than just finding an incredible dentist who is above par, but finding someone who is also a great person. And Dr. Isakov is exactly that. He is an exceptionally experienced and talented dentist, but he is also an amazingly kind and compassionate person. I know this is a long review and I hope whoever needed to hear this has read it. I absolutely recommend Dr Isakov over any other dentist there is. Go see him and speak to him and you will feel the exact same way as I do. It will be the best decision you make. I know it was for me. :)

So after the xray is done and NOT BEFORE, he tells me he doesnt replace fillings because in time, his will come out as well and henceforth has to do a crown !!!! He also tells me that if the filling comes out, there had to be decay though there was no evidence of such, and henceforth he has to give an injection and remove more of my tooth. So i then say to him, if there was decay that the prevoius dentist didnt remove and now you are, why dont you remove the decay and do the filling ? Because my fillings dont hold up. Why is that ? decay. But you remove the decay.... AND THIS WENT AROUND IN A LUDICROUS CIRCLE. Then, he tells me that another tooth has to be pullled because it is infected when meanwhile i feel no discomfort and nothing is swollen. And for a cavity that doesnt even bother me, which means nothing has progressed to the nerve or root, this tooth has to be pulled out as well.... and he didnt even discuss the other xrays... This doctor in my opinion is a disgrace and should be avoided.

Also, his hygienist Jade is no longer with the practice and the new hygienist leaves much to be desired, is a bit unprofessional at times, and does not perform as thorough of a cleaning. My experience with the new team is as follows: 1. Whereas doctor Lipner would explain why I should get my cavities filled right away for my health, the new dentists approach was to tell me that I should get them filled because I have enough funds on my insurance to pay for it. That was definitely a turn off for me from ever going to that dentist or trusting him with my teeth. 2. On one occasion where I was 15minutes late for my appointment and apologized as I came in, the hygienist looked at the clock and tells me well I don't know I'll see what I can do as I have another patient after you. Really?! For a $240 cleaning I don't want to get a "see what I can do service," in any case after proceeding to say that they could have told me on the phone and I would have rescheduled, the hygienist with an attitude proceeded to say "that's not what I said," suffice it to say I did not feel comfortable during the rushed cleaning, nor was it done well. Very sad to see what was once a very professional and upscale establishment really deteriorate due to new staff.
