I truly hope that anyone looking for an amazing dentist or someone who fears going to the dentist reads this review. My whole life I suffered with bad teeth for many reasons, some of which were medical. I've been to dentists who were cold and intimidating , and did not make the process any easier so then I wouldn't go back and the problems would of course worsen. That all changed when I met Dr. Arthur Isakov at Dental Concepts in Glen Cove. I was very nervous and apprehensive, but I walked into a very sterile and clean environment with very high tech equipment. As soon as I met Dr. Isakov I knew I liked him. He has such a warm and funny personality. He is very friendly and approachable. I came to him in a very serious condition where I needed to have all my teeth removed and replaced with either dentures or implants. I've never been more afraid of having to do something like I was with this. But Dr. Isakov and his assistant Luz were both so gentle and caring. The two of them together were so calming and reassuring. Every few minutes he would stop and ask if I was okay. He pulled them all out so quickly! I hardly had time to realize that it was done. I became very emotional afterwards because it was a scary and overwhelming experience for me, but they both hugged me and reassured me that I was okay. Dr. Isakov made sure I understood the post op instructions . That night he actually called me to check on me. He said I can call his cell phone at any time if I had any questions or concerns. He then called me several times over the next few days to make sure I was okay. I have never had a dentist care so much and take time out of their very busy days to check on me. And it's not like he calls to check on me because he feels obligated. You can tell how genuine and sincere he is. He truly cares about his patients. I have my son going to him now and I've told all of Glen Cove about my experience. For me it was so much more than just finding an incredible dentist who is above par, but finding someone who is also a great person. And Dr. Isakov is exactly that. He is an exceptionally experienced and talented dentist, but he is also an amazingly kind and compassionate person. I know this is a long review and I hope whoever needed to hear this has read it. I absolutely recommend Dr Isakov over any other dentist there is. Go see him and speak to him and you will feel the exact same way as I do. It will be the best decision you make. While the staff are very nice, dr isakov is a whole other story. I went to him because a filling had come out recently. He sees the tooth and says he has to have xray done. So after the xray is done and NOT BEFORE, he tells me he doesnt replace fillings because in time, his will come out as well and henceforth has to do a crown !!!! He also tells me that if the filling comes out, there had to be decay though there was no evidence of such, and henceforth he has to give an injection and remove more of my tooth. So i then say to him, if there was decay that the prevoius dentist didnt remove and now you are, why dont you remove the decay and do the filling ? Because my fillings dont hold up. Why is that ? decay. But you remove the decay.... AND THIS WENT AROUND IN A LUDICROUS CIRCLE. Then, he tells me that another tooth has to be pullled because it is infected when meanwhile i feel no discomfort and nothing is swollen. And for a cavity that doesnt even bother me, which means nothing has progressed to the nerve or root, this tooth has to be pulled out as well.... and he didnt even discuss the other xrays... This doctor in my opinion is a disgrace and should be avoided. read more

A real gem in Glen Cove! Dr. Isakov is not only very personable and professional, but he really does take the time to explain to his patients what the dental procedure they're about to have in detail and in layman's terms too. There's no beating around the bush with him and he doesn't try and sell you on frivolous procedures just to make a buck either. He also does Invisalign and takes most major dental insurance so can the office and have them check your coverage. Oh! I am a huge fan of texting vs. calling and this office is outfitted with a texting app that the office staff uses just with their patients to communicate about appointments, billing issues and general checking up on you after your procedure. The staff from the front desk to the hygienist are all so kind and the energy in the office is upbeat and lively. It really puts me in a good mood to be there when I usually hate going to see the dentist. All four exam rooms are outfitted with the latest dental tech that money can buy and the rooms are kept very clean, Covid compliant and at a comfortable temperature. I LOVE that the staff will ask what the patient prefers to listen to as they are settling into the chair! When I requested a death metal band, they didn't cringe but instead told me about how another patient of theirs likes my type of music too lol my root canal with him was a huge success and I'm back to chewing on my right side again! I went to the dental office for the first time to remove two stubborn wisdom teeth. And Dr. Isakov made the whole procedure to be as smooth as possible. And from reception to treatment, the entire team was highly professional and warm. I had a great experience. They explained the procedure thoroughly and were open to questions. And a special thanks to the dental hygienist Silvano, who noticed I was a little nervous about the wisdom tooth extraction and did his best to calm me down. He was very friendly and made sure I understood everything. He also did my teeth cleaning. He was very skilled and did an outstanding job. Definitely, a team passionate about dentistry. DON'T GO HERE! I have been going here since Dr. Arthur opened 7 years ago. I'm one of his original patients! He has always been great with me and taken into consideration my income and the fact that I don't have insurance that he accepts. Fast forward I now have 2 babies under 2 and a mortgage. He always worked with me. I have paid him thousands of dollars to have work done here as well as send my wife, my boss, and other people to him for business. Today I went there for a simple $250 tooth extraction. He took a bunch of unnecessary X-rays that I just took back in July probably for more money! He then shot me up with novocaine to the point where tears were rolling down my face. I hope I don't have nerve damage, might have to sue for emotional stress. Then he proceeded to tell me that the extraction would cost me $800. Yes you heard that correctly. 30 min procedure for $800! That's $26 a minute, most people don't even make that in an hour! He has become a heartless person who only cares about money! DO NOT GO HERE Unless you enjoy being robbed. He is in the business of robbery and greed has overcome his decency. Such a shame. UPDATE, the roof of my mouth still hurts 3 days later, skin is peeling off the roof of my mouth, and now I have to go see an Endodontist or an OPS! read more

A lengthy review but worth the read!!! I am a person who is beguiled by a nice smile, in turn, I like to be represented by nice teeth. In my search for a new dentist, I came across Dr. Arthur Isakov at Dental Concepts. I was able to get a same day appointment and was even accommodated when I showed up earlier than scheduled (I recommend that you call ahead when asking for such convenience). Their customer service got me into the office, appearance of the office impressed me, and service made me a new client. I came in for a routine visit and a few questions. The staff is easygoing, professional, and knowledgeable. It was a smooth transition from respectionist to Dr. Isakov. I chipped my tooth twice, same tooth, about 20 and 17 years ago, respectedly. Going from chipped tooth to a permanent crown I was more than satisfied. However, I had a porcelain crown with metal filling which caused an embarrassing black appearance at the gum line. Right at the money maker the upper central incisor. After being told for years, by other dentist, that they wouldn't change it, really discouraged me and dimmed my infectious smile/laugh. Dr. Isakov restored hope when a routine visit turned into a life changer. Within a week I had a temporary replacement, follow-up appointments, and my new smile. But most importantly a new lifelong dentist. Dr. Isakov gave me his honest professional advice, while making me maintain a sense of autonomy. Dr. Isakov and his team was able to do this as news of the pandemic was about to cripple New York. Dr. Isakov and staff is personable, professional, and knowledgeable, even with me being astute and inquisitive. I have my mojo back with my new smile, and it was all done while jamming out to my choice of 90's hit. Absolute worst dental experience of my life. If you are in the business of wanting to get scammed, do not visit this dentist!! The receptionist, Josi, was rude and unwelcoming. Additionally, despite clearly indicating that I did not want to take x-rays the dentist was insistent. In hindsight, it makes much sense that I was pressured into getting a panoramic x-ray shot, as they had me waiting well over 1.5 hours for an appointment with no apology nor care. Ultimately, I chose to leave the office, as it was nearing 7pm. After being told by both Josi and Dr. Isakov that my insurance would not be billed for the joke that was today, I later learned otherwise. Where to begin here? A few weeks ago, I developed a toothache that refused to go away. I already had an appointment with another dentist later during the month, but when I called the office to see if I could move it up, she was nowhere to be found. I called another office. This one had no power due to the hurricane we just had and therefore was not able to take me in. I then called Dr. Isakov. He picked up right away, told me he had an opening that morning and took me in without an issue. I noticed when I got to the office that the place was small, but impeccably clean. The assistant took me in for my X-rays and she was extremely accommodating when she realized I had a hearing loss. I thought this was considerably thoughtful because not so many people would be so patient and having someone like that there made me feel comfortable. Dr. Isakov came in, took a look at my X-rays and confirmed that I needed not only one root canal, but two. Never having serious dental work done before, I was nervous about it, but made the next appointment to get it done. The procedure surprised me in many ways, it was painless and Dr. Isakov made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole process. The end result is phenomenal. I could not be happier and I am like an excited kid showing off a new toy. I've learned that this is a family business and everyone there, both related and non-related treat each other like family. They work well together and I very much enjoy visiting them and watching them work. Dr. Isakov knows what he is doing and knows how to manage his office very well. He cares about his patients (not only just him, but the whole office from the receptionist to the hygienist) and his work is superb. His staff is very attentive and I've always felt very safe with them whenever they were assigned a task to work on my root canals. The hygienist is fantastic too, basically no pain (or maybe that's just on my side) and does the job well. There is basically no wait (maybe 5-10 minutes tops), technology is up to date and appointments are easy to make. 10 out of 5 stars, I would highly recommend this office 100 times over. read more

My first visit was great. I was looking for a new dentist close to home and am very particular as I have had a great dentist for years that was about an hour away. He had evenings and Saturdays and that appealed to me. When I showed up for my first visit, I was pleasantly surprised. The office is very nice and clean. The staff is friendly. But most of all, the X-Rays, Cleaning and visit with dentist was one of the best I've had. I don't have anything negative to say about them! I came back in December last year for an emergency filling that fell out from a previous dentist. They took me immediately and was understanding. I came in at the end of the day, December 23rd. Right before the holidays. They even gave me a teeth cleaning instead of pushing me to come back another day. 8 months later, as I'm writing this now after my appointment, the staff is still super friendly. A few days ago, I went to New York Midtown Dental in NYC. They took x-rays and did a cleaning. They said my teeth were in dire shape, that I needed four crowns over old fillings, that all my front crowns/veneers that were done for cosmetic reasons needed to be replaced, I needed an implant on one tooth as well as a root canal and crown on another tooth. They even said I needed to see a periodontist in their office to check my gums. They scheduled me three appointments. Needless to say I panicked and wanted a second opinion. I previously went to Dr. Isakov for cosmetic work and extractions of my wisdom teeth when he worked in Bayside. When I googled him, I was surprised to see he was open in Long Island. He agreed to see me two days later for a second opinion. His office is very clean and spacious. The dental assistant is incredibly kind and nurturing. She kept apologizing for taking retaking xrays because I have a hard time staying still. Then she put on some cool music while Dr. Isakov went over my xrays. He said I didn't need a root canal and had no infection. That he wouldn't touch my fillings because they were fine. He said I might need an implant but he wanted to wait and see in six months if it got better. So low and behold, that extensive treatment plan from Midtown Dental was completely exaggerated. Thank god I didn't let them begin that expensive and painful dental treatment. Thankfully, Dr. Isakov is an honest doctor. It is very hard to find an ethical dentist that you can trust. I very strongly recommend him as an honest and thorough dentist especially if you need a second opinion. read more

After complaing of tooth pain, I looked into my 11yo daughter's mouth and saw a small black speck on her molar. Turns out she needed a root canal. Both my daughter and I (as a parent) were nervous at first, but Dr. Isakov and his team were so sweet, and so professional, that we quickly knew we had nothing to fear.They shared and were happy to explain what they found in the x-rays and what needed to be done.Not once did my daughter show sign of discomfort or pain while the procedure was being performed. And this is a root canal for goodness sake! The facilities are state of the art and immaculate. They let my daught choose whatever music she wanted from Pandora. My wife and I were impressed the caring follow ups phone calls Dr. Isakov made personally to make sure that my daughter was alright and free from pain. I travel from the Flushing area.
