We were seated after about 10 minutes and our server greeted us almost immediately. She was super friendly and was not at all shy about sharing her recommendations. Fortunately, they were pretty spot on. By the time I ordered the breakfast, I already had a cup of hot coffee in front of me. The coffee was stronger than I like, so I only had one cup. My "go-to" meal at a comfort food place like this is more times than not the pork chops and eggs. Unfortunately, they weren't on the menu so I went with the NY Strip and eggs plate. It came with country style potatoes, and choice of bread. I will admit, I was happy to see that the plate came with three eggs, not just two, like most places. The steak looked a little overdone but was cooked to my order and well seasoned. Also, the eggs were made perfectly over-easy... no complaints. The POTATOES were the surprise on the plate, though. They looked a little mushy on the plate at first glance, but were certainly not. They were seasoned well and tasted even better! I ordered the biscuits as my bread choice, but was beyond full by the time I even thought about them again. Overall, it was a nice first visit. I was neither overwhelmed nor underwhelmed, honestly. While there seems to me they could improve the presentation on the plate, the food tasted good... but if the POTATOES are the thing you remember... there's gotta be something missing. I'll be back, but probably not driving 30 minutes out of my way to do so either.

I was there early so not too many people. Ambiance was good, not too loud or anything. I also got a Mango Chamoy Slushie which was very good, best I ever had. Actually haven't had one before then. They serve a variety of burgers, sandwiches, wings, dogs, desserts, and meals include either a side of tots, fries, cucumbers with chamoy and lucas, or corn in a cup. Other sides are available as well. This trip since we craved for burgers, ordered: Bistro burger- wonderfully seasoned and cooked, served on sourdough, with avocado, grilled onions and mushrooms, mayo. One thing that should be added, the works, I felt it would be even better with the addition of lettuce, pickles, and tomatoes. I ordered the cucumbers sans chamoy and lucas. I appreciate simple veggies. Mexican burger- excellent! Juicy burger with cheese, jalapenos, pico de gallo, bacon and the works. The tater tots had a nice and crispy outer texture as it should. Overall- very good. Tasty, reasonable, clean, and great service. We'll have to make sure to come back sooner!

Our Host, Jesse checked us in and advised us a 20 minute wait was probable. No problem! Jesse was a ball of "Fire, Hustle, Multi-Tasking and Friendly Smiles! Aldo also gets a 5 Star Rating! Everything was great, in spite of the many Customers! We went to pay! That is where things got interesting! There were two lines to pay with two Cashiers. I got in the line on the right and waited and waited! The guy in front of me had been waiting a long time and was visibly annoyed. My wife was busy "Window" shopping so problem. Three people in line on the right and one Customer at the register. That's when the elderly Cashier ""Gruffly and Rudely told us that there was only one line and for us to move over to the other line on our left. Wow! How Rude! There were no "Arrows" or signs that said "One line only"! I think we HAD to know or read that Cashier's mind to find out the CB Rule! We all agreed that the Cashier was extremely Rude! My wife paid the Rude Cashier but being the Christian that she is she treated the Elderly Cashier with much kindness and understanding. Perhaps Cracker Barrel should post their "unknown" rules where Customers can read them. And re-train the Cashier on how to talk to Customers! Wow! Anytime we leaned on it, it would sway to the side, which is not exactly a pleasant experience when trying to eat. We tried to notify our server, but they were nowhere to be found for about 15 minutes. When we finally told them about the table, they sent a guy to check it, and even he seemed surprised by how wobbly it was. After that, nothing happened. We then waited another 10 minutes before our server showed up again, and by that point, we still had no drinks and had not even placed our order. Later, we needed ketchup and napkins, but again, it took another 15 minutes for our server to come back. On top of that, the hostess was extremely rude and had a noticeable attitude. The manager eventually came by, but all she really said was that they were busy, and that was pretty much it. She left and was probably the least helpful of everyone. This was probably the worst restaurant experience I have had. We were deciding between coming here or going to Hopdoddy, and we figured Cracker Barrel is usually a good choice. Next time, we will not even hesitate to go to Hopdoddys instead. This happened at around 12:30 pm on Sunday March 29th. I didn't get the managers name as she was briefly here and then left in a hurry. I know they can get busy, but avoid this location. The employees and management don't care.
