They sell tons of collectible figures (including pop funko), comics, records, tapes, dvds, cds etc. used and new. They had an incredible LOTR collectible figure corner. It was above an employee only area so I had to ask the employees to pull things down for me and let me walk inside a bit closer to read what was up on the wall. That was annoying to do but they were nice. They had a ton of stuff overall I haven't seen in other places and I spent a LOT of money here! :)

We were using a Visa gift card to pay for a portion of these items when the owner/manager informed us that they couldn't process the gift card because of their antiquated transaction equipment. He said "we type the card information in manually and sometimes it works". Hmmm, sounds as if this has happened before and it'd be smart to update your systems to accommodate your costumers. He was rude and combative when we expressed how dissapointed we were that this happened. He doesn't want your business. The items are over-priced for used CDs and records anyway.

When we made our trip to Columbia, one of the places I didn't know we were going to stop in was Cosmic rays! Cosmic rays specializes in a lot of things, including video games, toys but most importantly, comics! They have a nice selection of comics and being surrounded by them brought back nostalgia. My gf wanted to buy some comics for a friend since we were in the area, and rather than tell her what I thought, we picked the brain of staff, who were super cool about listening to what she was looking for, and came with recommendations that were right in line with what she wanted. Super friendly staff who were happy to let us casually peruse, and ultimately we walked away with a comic featuring AOC (a comic she couldn't walk away from). Located off of Devine st, there is limited parking right in front of the shop, but we didn't have a problem finding a spot, nor did we see the lot full each time we passed the area. Friendly staff, located on a main road, and filled with lots of entertainment from games to movies to comics, if you or someone you know wants to get into some adventures, come check Cosmic Rays out!

I didn't really know what I was doing when I walked into the store, but all the employees were really nice and helpful! They sell guitars, vinyl records, graphic tee shirts, stuffed animals, assorted Legos, and my favorite, the mystery boxes! What I particularly enjoyed about 2nd & Charles was that they had all of the new titles and bestsellers, as well as a large collection of eclectic and vintage books that you could check out and peruse. They also offered you the opportunity to sell and trade books that you've finished, and had a section of books that were "lightly used" and highly recommended from previous readers. In addition, although I don't play video games myself, they had a nice collection of video games that were brought in from previous users, as well as a humorous assortment of t-shirts and office supplies that are sure to break the monotony of a regular office space. To conclude, 2nd & Charles was such a fun and unique store, which offered a dynamic combination of new and used books, music supplies, video games, and a range of other interesting miscellaneous items. I'm so glad that I stopped in, and while I don't really see myself becoming a "regular", I'll definitely be back in the future, and would recommend that anybody stop in if they're looking for a change of pace and exciting shopping opportunity!

The two gentlemen at the counter very loudly said "I hate when randos come in and especially kids" and looks directly at him. Only person in the store is my kid. My kid is 17 and wanted to purchase some comics. Truly a poor way to treat someone who frequents other comic stores. Just won't be going to this one. I advise not to go and spend your money in a place where they don't want random people walking in.

They had sheets of cardboard over all of the boxes of comics as they were using them to stock or organize stuff.
