Everything about this place is spectacular and the employees are super kind and easy to communicate with.

Place is definitely a comic bookstore but the staff is highly unfriendly. My kid went in looking for a few comic books and the staff were extremely rude. The two gentlemen at the counter very loudly said "I hate when randos come in and especially kids" and looks directly at him. Only person in the store is my kid. My kid is 17 and wanted to purchase some comics. Truly a poor way to treat someone who frequents other comic stores. Just won't be going to this one. I advise not to go and spend your money in a place where they don't want random people walking in. read more

The Amount of stuff in this place is Amazing. if your a toy collector. WOW ARE you in for an amazing stop when you get here. The most extensive early model toy collection i've seen star wars, WWF, marvel toys even judge dredd. If you're looking for a comic bookstore that takes the time to get to know their customers this is the place. I always wanted to get in to comics as a kid and was never able to access them, so as an adult I set out to follow my favourite stories and series. Of course living in Cola meant going to nearby ones, which is how I found this amazing store. It started off coming in every now and then, to becoming a subscriber to their pull list, to now owning 6 boxes and several bookshelves full of my favourite comics. (The pull list subscription is definitely worth it as are the stamp cards! A great deal!!) The guys there are incredible. I came from a time when certain people weren't welcomed always in comic stores. That was never felt here. They were welcoming, and just as excited as we were to talk comics. Never felt out of place and always felt heard. Not only did they take the time to hear what we liked about comics, they started setting aside comics they thought we might like too. They would wave at us at conventions (even in cosplay), give us recommendations, and even seek out specific books we were looking for. I now visit comic bookstores in every city I go to and I can honestly say none of them compare. These guys are the family of comic bookstores and one thing I'm going to miss most about moving. Was a nice large store with a large selection. Prices seemed a bit high, but it could have been so they could negotiate down, as I didn't find anything I wanted to buy while here. Staff seemed friendly enough, but didn't really interact with them much. Stopped here on Free Comic Book day and they didn't even mention it to us when we walked in. read more

Taking a trip to Laurens, SC from Daytona Beach, FL, I spotted a Schlotzsky's Deli fromt he highway and decided to stop to get something to eat. Right across the street was a ridiculously large comic shop, so I had to check it out. The place is so big inside, it took well over an hour to really look through the store. They have a big section of the store dedicated to new and old / sealed and pre-owned action figures. Tons of the rare original Star Wars toys that were awesome to finally see in person, let alone for sale. Plenty of other figures too... Marvel, DC, Ghostbusters, Simpsons, McFarlane, Star Trek, random movies and shows and just about everything else that's been made. Lots of statues available too, some even custom made. One in particular was a Kang (Simpsons character) statue that stood about nine inches tall for $60. I grew up watching the Simpsons ever since I was four thanks to my parents loving the Tracy Ullman Show. I never collected anything of theirs, but I knew the only thing released of Kang & Kodos was from Playmates. Needless to say, I had to buy the statue. Another thing they have that I don't see a lot of other shops carrying are cardboard displays for movies. One that caught my attention was an original Hellraiser standee display that stood about four foot and had that kind of 3D effect. With it in mint condition and only priced at $20, I couldn't leave it in the store. Sort of glad I don't live in Columbia, or even in the state because I would go broke visiting this store all the time. Plus with that Schlotzsky's across the street, I wouldn't even have to go home to eat. It's been two years since I last visited, but I can see they are still doing very well for themselves and they certainly deserve it. read more

g1s, kenner, gijoe, star wars, trek, vintage, books, comics, great prices. Was surpised to find a massive comic-book shop in Columbia, South Carolina! The prices here are all marked by sticker colors, either $5, 10, 20, which in my opinion is awesome. I got a bunch of cool Ghostbusters, G1 stuff, and Richie Rich comic books for all under $60. These prices are hard to beat, you wouldn't be able to find a g1 transformer for under $30-50 bucks in Texas unless your online, but you can't touch or feel it. They also have a LARGE Selection of comics, books, documents, and all kind of magazines. They even have a $1 Room, everything in the room is $1 pretty awesome if you ask me. Go check it out! Owner and employees were very helpful, friendly and honest. Even though I chose to not sell my comics to them, I was offered a fair deal. They have an amazing selection of vintage figures and collectibles. Their store is well organized and brightly lit. I purchased a classic Sabrina the Witch, an older edition of Josie and the Pussycats, some comic storage boxes and some cute 1980s figures. I would definitely recommend this store to someone who is into retro items and vintage comics. read more

Wow, this place is huge! Not only that, but I stopped by on a Saturday morning and it was jam-packed! I was not aware that something like this existed in Columbia... While they didn't have what I was looking for in-stock, they were very eager to help and even tried to find a suitable alternative. Inventory was broken down into sections, too, which was nice. Everything wasn't all bleeding into the rest of the items. If you were looking for a tabletop game, you know, 'Ok, it's gonna be in *this* area'. Games, figures, comics, and who knows what else (I was on a schedule when I stopped and didn't have much time to look around)... There was also a very large room with tables set up for gaming. I wish it were just a bit closer to home, then I'd take my daughter here *every* Saturday! read more

HUGE selection of comic books- both old and new. You can also find first-edition copies of books, movies, and an assortment of dragon figurines inside. The prices ranged from very cheap ($2-$5 comics) to kind of on the expensive side ($25 comic), but they were all color-coded by price. I ended up buying Marvel Iron Man, X-Men, Ghost Rider, and Gargoyles comics! :) P.S. The giant dragon they have suspended from the ceiling is totally awesome! ;) read more

Good store that is always expanding. They have a huge selection of comics from $1/$2/$5/$10. If you like books they have added a big selection of books ranging from the same price as the comics. If you are a table top gamer this place is great. They hold tournaments from time to time. read more

Heroes & Dragons is the best place to go if you're looking for comics and collectibles. The two dudes working here, Jorg and George, are two of the most helpful people I've talked with at a comic store. They actually greet and engage you when you go into the store. Heroes and Dragons has quality merchandise that is reasonably priced and in great condition. An added bonus is the very friendly dog named Shadow that's usually in the store. Tons upon tons of books. Worth going to when they have a sale. They stopped getting new comics but they still buy and sell old ones. Largest comic store in town. read more
