This is a really unique studio which showcases art created by very talented disabled artists. This year there are a lot of textiles/wearable art for sale which are just incredible. There was also a sign that there is additional parking behind the museum. After checking in there was a craft/art activity with stickers and tempera paint sticks. Low mess :). Adjacent was a play area with colored scarves, a pretend campfire, felt board for the children to explore, and books. Before entering the museum area Anna gave an introductory talk describing what to expect. She made it interactive which was very nice. They also did a song to get their wiggles out. She then guided the group through the museum to the carpeted area with cushions for the kiddos. Ana talked about and asked questions about the art on the walls. She read Under the Same Sky to the children and made this an interactive experience also. It was just the right length of time, thirty minutes. This was just right for our 18 month old grandson.

She uses mainly Acrylic Paint and a knife to paint and has a gift for perspective, color, and balance. I was especially impressed by her subtle use of blue in a small painting of birches, which really pops out at you almost like 3D. I know too how difficult painting water can be and she tackled that nicely in a recent boat painting. Again I was both surprised and pleased by her use of color here. I am getting ready to publish a new book of poetry and hoping that I will be able to talk Lisa into doing some painting that will capture the mood of my work! Keep your eye on this young lady! I know that I am!

Such an amazing space…read more Aside from being a gorgeous gallery, it's also my dream house. Think "urban barn," with a small gallery below and a huge hardwood floored loft with vaulted ceilings and luxurious patio above. Vessel was the absolute stand-out spot for me during Art Murmur. They had a very simple but interesting sculpture exhibit downtstairs, and this dreamy little folksy musician (Anna Ash and the Family Tree) strumming and crooning away upstairs. It was all so bohemian. Vessel is a must, especially amidst the mish-mash of happenings during Art Murmur. But beware...you'll probably want to stay a while.

It was the venue for a Yelp mixer that featured body art. Such a gorgeous space, and a great spot to stop off and reflect on the meaning and purpose of art for a bit. PS The rafters and angles with the sloped roofline create dedicated nooks and crannies of secrecy and mystique, which I find utterly charming. Reminds me of the wonderful days I lived off Gibbons Dr in Alameda.....a literal paradise of architectural gems.

I did the 8am tour to Muir Woods that stopped in Sausalito. I'm so happy I got to see Muir Woods,…read moreit is really awe inspiring. It was nice to see it with the tour too and not have to worry about makes a reservation there. We promptly left at 8am. And the tour shop does have a small bathroom which is nice to use before you leave. Barry was a great tour guide, he loved taking pictures of everyone and knows a lot about San Francisco. We got out of the bus twice to take pictures on the way to Muir Woods. They were great picture stops and we head nice weather to pose in front of Golden Gate Bridge. Even though I've been to SF 5 times I still loved this tour. I've been to Sausalito before and could have skipped that, there is not much to do in that town besides eat something and look at the bay. Muir Woods is the real gem. We had only 1 hour and 15 min to explore on our own. I was alone so I walked fast and think I got to see more than most in that time. I would have liked more time there. You can add on Alcatraz and the bus drops you off there, or he can drop you at fisherman's wharf or back at the tour shop. Highly suggest this tour company! Very friendly, on time and knowledgeable!

We didn't get to do that at all. We got back with 20 mins to eat and get in line for the ferry to Alcatraz so we were super rushed. The tour guide was also in a big hurry from the minute we started. He also yelled and honked at cars on 3 seperate occasions. The stops were all rushed. And the tour was mostly the tour guide talking about music recorded in San Fran. Don't recommend for the price.
