Quite a gem just outside of K-Town with a great public karaoke section and simply delicious delicious. This is my 2nd time here, and 2nd time celebrating a birthday here and it is such a good spot for big or small parties! They do have private rooms and quite a great selection, but the public space really is a great value of pay per song with a cash discount. As a karaoke bar, its great. Very good song selection, great karaoke tracks, and the volume is not too loud. Generally, the public area is a great hang and everyone is very supportive! As a bar with food, the drink selection is pretty good but the highlight is the imported beers on draft served ice cold. All the trappings of a karaoke bar closer to K-Town with really nice service. The food here really has no reason to be this good. I didn't eat my first time around, but made a point to test out the kitchen after multiple people proclaimed how good it was - and they were not lying. The chicken katsu curry was SO good. The fry on the chicken was so perfect and crunchy even covered in the curry. The curry wasnt too spicy, but had a great heat and the rice was heaping and the perfect compliment. Would come back here any time and will highly recommend to anyone who wants to celebrate a birthday here!

Came here randomly to kill time before I got on my train & it was a kool experience, the place was totally empty at the time I came (which I didn't mind lol) I ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio & sat at the bar, had a convo with the owner/manager (I think) not sure if they served food but I doubt it. Good place to come back with a group of friends & have some fun.

Muses 35 is an incredibly unique experience within the vast and growing karaoke movement in NYC. From the moment you enter, there is something eclectic and futuristic of the space where you can sing your heart out, without any fee per song as a special on Sundays and Mondays. The assortments of wine, beer, and spirits is a lot more abundant and versatile than the average karaoke bar. The overall vibe is lovely, the karaoke isn't too loud, overpowering, nor dive bar-esque. I also appreciate how Muses 35 is tidy: compared to other karaoke places I've been to, I can say with complete joy there are no puddles and toilet paper flying everywhere in the bathrooms, rather very fancy and sweet smelling overall at Muses 35, with even the cutest mini shower caps for the karaoke mics, etc.! I also adore the spacious interior design, the fun arcade and gaming selections. options to sing at the bar alongside of fellow patrons or if you'd prefer going through a hallway that feels as if you're on a spaceship, you can reserve fabulous private rooms that are also designed exquisitely, also with professional grade mics, sound engineering, and a vibrant song selection. It was just as refreshing and moving to experience how kind and accommodating the bartenders and staff were: I was greeted with a warm smile, with exemplary customer service, offering me a glass of water, asking me if I'd like to put more songs in, I felt so taken care of here. I was so pleased that this establishment also had tasty food options, like the scrumptious chicken fried rice that helped give me a lil boost of energy at 9pm :) I overall felt so welcome and like I was a part of the Muses 35 family, with fellow patrons also so kind, praising and cheering everyone on. I definitely look forward to singing some karaoke bops sooner rather than later at Muses 35. I had truly such a wonderful, uplifting karaoke and dining experience. Thank you!

It was our first time visiting NYC and we were looking for a bar with a great atmosphere. We came upon MUSES and fell completely in love with it. Great ambiance, hosts, and bartenders! They have both private room karaoke and a karaoke bar. The drinks were great and so was the pricing. Overall, I can see this business flourishing, and hope to come back to it 10 years down the line. A must see if you're in NYC!!

This wasn't a first choice.. or 2nd or 3rd either.. we had a little time to kill before a late night event we stopped into Muses because all the other spots on this block were filled with holiday partiers. So was Muses - lots of folks drinking and getting their song on. We grabbed a spot at the bar - service was a little slow and not overly friendly.. "SWEEETTT CARROOOLLINE.. bah BAH bah.. Good times never seemed so good!".. well, not quite, but it was decent enough. We ordered a couple of drinks - Asahi draft and a Gin Blossom for my friend. Not really interested in Karaoke, I was still trying to follow what was going on over the loud music and horrendous, drunken sing alongs (Not a place for conversation).."Maybe I'm just like my mother.. she's never satisfied...".. Yeah, that could be. The videos would sometimes play for some songs on the screens throughout the place. We order a couple of snacks - beef dumplings and korean seafood pancake. Which seemed to take forever to come out... "Waterloo! Waterloo! Finally facing my Waterloo! whoa whoa whoa..."... Yeah this wasn't the best version of either of these dishes. The dumplings while overstuffed were a bit overcooked and didn't taste all that good. The pancake was a bit greasy and would probably taste better after 3 or a dozen drinks. I noticed glassed enclosed "private" rooms, lots of brightly multi-colored LEDs, lounging area and the happy hour crowd started to dwindle as the night went on..."What doesn't kill you makes you STRONGER...".. yes indeed!

Can't complain. They have four booths in the back maybe it was three. I did notice one of the hanging lights was from an 80s pizza hut joint. Letting you know now the paper towels for your face at the table felt like jail toliet paper, very rough. The bar doesn't have bar stools with backs! You either need to get one or two tables by their mini kitchen, very hot there not recommended for preimenopause or menopausal women or one of the booths. This is a great bar they played 60s music a lot. Heard some weird al too! Very random and fun place to be. The bartender was nice as well as security! Try the burger! Worth the $9!!

The energy is right there, hovering, but it never actually lands. It's giving "almost iconic" but not quite--like a party that never fully starts. And that's what gets me. Because this bar could EASILY be that spot. The kind people plan their week around. Where are the themed nights? Where's the drama? The chaos? Give me a reason to come back on a random Wednesday. Do a city-event tie-in, a holiday takeover, literally anything that makes it feel alive instead of just... existing. Because right now it feels like a missed opportunity wearing a cute outfit. BUT--let's talk about the one thing they absolutely did not fumble: the view. The VIEW??? Insane. Genuinely stunning. The kind of view that makes you pause mid-sentence and remember you're in New York and not just spiraling in your own life choices. It's carrying the entire experience on its back, respectfully. So yeah. I'd come back... but mostly for the view and the potential. If they ever decide to actually do something with this space? It could be dangerous (in a good way). Until then, it's vibes... just not fully realized ones.

The view is gorgeous and sweeping. The service is attentive and professional. The drinks are sophisticated. I ended up here because I saw a video about their gin and tonic. Sounds simple, but it's one of my favorite drinks, and I'm always looking for someone who can do it well. I ordered their "dear G&T" and it was a fruity, complex riff on my old favorite. I also got the foreign forage, "a bourbon smash with a mint zing." It was also a delicious take on a classic. They have several types of cocktails, all broken down by spirit and flavor profile. They also offer a lot of spirits made in New York State. They have cocktails with earthy notes, fruity notes, fancy martinis, and a section boasting limited edition and special spirits, if you're "feeling fancy" and wanna cough up 35 bucks instead of 20 or 25! They have a bar snacks menu (sliders, nuts, and the like). I had their thick cut fries and they were light, seasoned, and tasty. I couldn't stop eating them. Midtown or not, I highly recommend this spot, which also has a couple other locations, including Gramercy.
