Nabbed a last minute reservation for 10 on a Saturday night! A little out of the way in Midtown East but it's nice. The rooms & bathrooms were clean, and drink orders were served quite promptly. They even charged my phone at the front desk area! We unfortunately broke a glass and they were kind & efficiently cleaned it up. I like the Duet Karaoke franchise a lot.

Such a fun time! I went with a group of my family members and husband around 1 in the morning after dinner, and it was fun! My cousin said he likes to sing so I'm like ok let me look up a karaoke spot nearby the area we were in at the time and this place popped up. First time going there and we were happy with the way the place is set up. You get your own private room with a tablet to choose songs to sing, microphones, the speakers, you can control the temperature of the room, couches and tables. They charge per hour and you pay after. They call your room when it gets closer to your time being up. They do have drinks and snacks to purchase as well. What a fun spontaneous time, I'm glad it was a fun experience.

Pretty reasonable prices for karaoke in Manhattan. They don't have the music videos for most songs sadly, but overall they do have a pretty good selection of English songs.

I always choose karaoke duet when I'm out partying with friends. It's a Japanese style karaoke so you have private rooms all in different sizes depending on your party size. They have a pretty large directory of songs and some in different languages too! You can also order drinks and some snacks here. Prices are on par with a night out in the city. I recommend making a reservation for the weekend because it gets very busy!

This karaoke spot is pretty cool! We visited on a Friday night at about 11:00pm without a reservation and were told we'd have to wait until about 12:00am because all the rooms were filled. We opted for waiting and I'm glad we did. We booked the room for 1 hour but ended up extending it for 2 hours because we were having so much fun. The room was a bit smaller than other karaoke spots I've been to but it worked fine for 5 of us girls. We ended up paying about $25 each which wasn't bad at all considering we got a round of beers and some food. Only downside is that they don't have a website to locate songs and its all on the folders so it could take a while.

Ask the Community - Karaoke DUET 48

How old are the kpop songs? Are we talking 2012 BigBang and TVXQ or are they updated?

I believe they get about a 100 top songs every month through their karaoke system, but they may need to print out the new pages. You could call and ask ahead.

Is this place 21+?we have a group of 8 people with a mixture of 21 and 20 year olds. We just want to sing

I think depends if anyone in your group is going to drink. I would call ahead to ask, but recall going to Karaoke Duet (several locations) since high school without much issues.

Is this place 18+ or 21+?

At nite 21 and over not sure ehat time it start

How is this place for a group of 2 people?

I don't think this is quite the place for that. I'd probably find a bar in the area that has a karaoke night and have a ball with other participants. This really is targeted for groups and it makes the price a bit better. However, if you don't mind… Read more

The best thing about the Duet karaoke places is that they have a massive song selection covering all genres, including less common punk and metal music.

Amongst our group of 13 people, we all had issues connecting to the WiFi and the tv. I convinced the front desk to give us an iPad to manage the music and that also wasn't working. I called the guys to the room multiple times to troubleshoot and it still wasn't working. We fought with the technology throughout the whole 3 hour reservation which really made it difficult to enjoy the experience. During the times it was working, the app was glitchy and we had difficulties seeing the queue and skipping over songs. Also, one of the microphones was barely working. Additionally, before booking I inquired amongst a number of places to compare prices. We picked this place because we were told that there would be an assigned server to our room to allow us to enjoy the open bar experience and not have to step out to the bar to get drinks. Upon arriving, I was told that wasn't the case, even though it was in my email. After a lot of back and forth, they finally agreed to come serve to our room but there were still times I had to leave the room and chase them down. I have done karaoke many times and this was a very stressful experience.

The first time i came here, my cousin rented a room for karaoke for her bday and we brought bottles and ate before coming. It was about 8 of us. It's very affordable and we even got some more drinks in the lobby after. The second time my friend wanted to come for her birthday we had a much smaller room as it was only 5 of us. Same good experience your rent per person per hour and it's very affordable. The last time i came was for my bachelorette party. I didn't want the traditional vibes i wanted a night out with the girls and my cousin booked a party bus and time here. We got a huge room upstairs as it was more than 12 of us and we had a great time singing 80-90s and early 2000s music esp boy bands which are my favorite. The staff here is nice and friendly and everything is very clean except the restroom. Restroom is small and a bit dingy, def needs an upgrade but otherwise, clean. I would def come back for a girls night out or celebration. It's my fave karaoke location for sure

Definitely keep an eye out and find the sign that takes you to the stairs/elevator up to 32 Karaoke. This karaoke bar is a little more hidden, but absolutely a gem. When we discovered it the first time earlier in the year, we loved their BYOB model and blasted through an hour of time very quickly. Many drinks were had and many songs were song in a small group. I ended up coming back later in the year to celebrate my birthday and it was a fantastic time. Anyone who knows me knows I can span MANY genres in a karaoke session. The song choices were all there. Everything from "Don't go Breaking my Heart" to "Breaking Free" from High School Musical, to my signature "You Belong with Me" by Taylor Swift, to "Face Down" by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, to "Pink Pony Club" by Chappell Roan, to "Holding Out for a Hero" by Bonnie Tyler (from Shrek). All the options were there to satisfy the crowds. A few of my friends aren't even Karaoke people (my husband included) and we were able to get them in for one track. Truly some of the most fun nights had at 32 Karaoke. It's BYOB and can bring your own food, or purchase them at the front. Can't wait for a future get together and gathering at 32 Karaoke!
