I would recommend purchasing your ticket in advance as they do work in a reserved seating format, not open seating. Kiosks are available in the lobby as well. If you have a mobile ticket you can go right to the attendant to see your movie. I've seen other comments stating that the line for concessions is long - that was our experience as well. Other that that, the staff was very nice and happy to help.

They have two different buttons so you can adjust your position, which made the whole movie even more enjoyable. The concession area was also very well stocked, with plenty of options, and everything felt clean and organized. On top of that, everyone we interacted with was friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference. The tickets were a bit on the pricey side, not sure if it was because of this specific movie or if that's just the standard now but overall, it felt worth it for the comfort and experience. Unfortunately, that hasn't been the case in the last 10-15 years. The theater is significantly outdated and regular maintenance has been neglected. There is only one theater that has updated seating while the other theater have the traditional stadium seats. Some of which are damaged; broken/missing armrests. The same can be said of the restrooms - needs attention and major cleaning. Missing marquee sign outside some of the theater rooms. Concessions were simple and what you'd expect. Nothing to brag on. The same can be said about the customer service. Saturday afternoon and only one person is workings at the ticket/concessions while three other employees standing as ushers to direct you to the appropriate theater. Looking for a movie experience more inline with what Nicole was referencing? Head over to NCG on Victory or out to Pooler. Only interested in seeing a movie and don't care about the overall experience, this AMC location may be just for you!

My main tip, however, would be this: DO NOT PURCHASE SEATS IN ROW F, which is the first section in the back portion of the theater. What the online ticketing wont tell you is that these are partially obstructed view seats due to the "clear" railings. Although the railings are indeed clear plastic, they are about 5 ft tall and therefore directly blocking your view while sitting down. Instead, I would recommend purchasing seats either towards the front in rows G or H or all the way towards the back of the theater. It will be a much more enjoyable experience, especially if seeing a 2.5 hr or more movie like we did.

To get to the seats up top (for example, row B) you have to climb stairs that are poorly lit and have a handrail so low that normal sized adults can't reach it without bending way way over. I'm 5-11 and I couldn't reach it without bending over so far I thought I was going to fall forward. Is somebody kidding or what? As for the screen, it's big, for sure, but all the action still takes place in the middle and the rest is stuff you don't care about it; so IMAX is kind of a ripoff unless there's lots of big wide shots of great stuff filling the screen.

We bought tickets ahead of time and got there early to grab good seats and pop corn. The screen was more projector size and not a full wall movie theatre. The line to get inside and for concessions the last 15 minutes before the show started were extremely long. They also had a cute photo booth set up and I believe they were collecting donations for a charity by selling these pictures. The bathrooms were clean and the theatre was easy to navigate. For an $8 ticket, I'll for sure come back. Even if the movie is 20 years old!

There is parking to be found on the street. Yes, you will need to pay for it. There are parking garages close too. The Lucas was recently restored a few years ago. It is beautiful. The theater itself is not huge. It is not meant for a gigantic audience. But it comfortably fits a very large crowd on two levels. I have sat on both levels. You see well from both. The Lucas is a building worth a visit.
