After I got her signed in at around 3:15PM, the waitlist started to build up fast. My did forgot her name, but remembered that the woman's name who cut my daughter's hair started with a "C." She was friendly. Untangled the wind-blown mess. The entire process lasted about a half hour. The wash & cut costed just under $22. She told me that if I saw any issues when it dried up to come back before 6PM. She gave both of my daughters lollipops. They send girls out (even in colder temperatures) with wet hair. It ended up being just over $40. The shop itself was reasonably clean... and decorated for Christmas already with music to compliment the holiday season in the background. Three things that made appreciate this shop as opposed to others I've tried recently: 1) she repair a break in my thumbnail, 2) she moved with a sense of urgency, & 3) she told me "see you next time!" The place wasn't at all busy at 10AM. Definitely I'll be visiting again!

No issues underneath my nails like before I came in. My dipping powder was $50. Though that seems steep to me, that is Hobbs's rates. My tech was gentle and didn't grind my nails down unnecessarily like that last salon. The only things I view as pitfalls: - parking kind of sucks in their plaza - limited colors (I wanted a rich, more glittery red) - the salon could use some deep cleaning (like most Hobbs salons) Aside from the traffic, it's in a great location across from Albertson's Market. Full disclosure: I used to work on the same college campus as Maria, but we weren't in the same department. It was great seeing her after all these years. For $35, I received a full service haircut. They offer service for the whole family. Cash or card is accepted. Tip may be added to Square payments. Maria is very, very gentle - my 8-year-old would love her approach to haircuts & styling. Dr. Driskill, MD (OBGYN) has some of the nicest staff in Hobbs!…read more He was equally friendly, welcoming & professional during my first visit to his clinic, called Women's Care Clinic, on 12/15/2022. While waiting, I was offered a small bottle of water. They use an online portal for reviewing the doctor's & his nurse's notes from your visit. His nurse was awesome! She's one of the best communicators I've ever met in the health care industry. She reminded me that Pap smears for women 40 & older are now recommended every 5 years, but that my insurance would pay for yearly exams. Unbeknownst to me prior to my visit, they had me pee in a cup for a pregnancy test. Even if you know you aren't. Lol. Thus... arrive hydrated & don't use the restroom before you head there. Overall, I was impressed with their clinic's cleanliness. Getting an appointment & finding the facility were the only pitfalls. If you don't already know the area, Dr. Driskill's office is behind the old Lea Regional Hospital (as it was referred to as when I was born there) - even closer to the emergency helipad. Highly recommended.
