    European wrap
    Barry H.

I'm back baby!! There was a muscle maker Grill in East Meadow Long Island, at which I ate once or twice daily, to help me enjoyably lose 50 pounds or more. However they closed that store and left me high and dry. Needless to say, I gained back nearly all of that weight in the years since. But whatever I can I'm going to try to get to this Muscle Maker in the Bronx to stock up on sandwiches so that at least I can use them in the same way toward healthy eating. Let's see what happens. Upon pick up, I eat my first European wrap. Not sure I'm going to order many of these because the spinach and peppers are wet and along with the cucumber salad on the side I need the sandwiches to stay dry for days. I might have to make arrangements with ownership to put the cucumber salad on the side when I do make a pick up in the future

Dig Into It~ (Asian Ginger Salad W/Out Chicken)- & Tasty

For an underrated Throgs Neck eatery, Muscle Maker has everything from Salads, Burgers, Bowls, Wraps, Pastas- down to the Quinoa. Menu is extensive- but you can swap this for that- even eliminate an item or two. Muscle Maker can possibly seat up a big crowd. Has a combination of blacks, reds, whites design with ceiling pipes almost running towards the back. There's a good view of the prep station (from what I saw). I ordered up front- though not sure if there's any other way. Since I decided on getting rid of the chicken in my option, these guys made me a decent Asian Ginger (Iceberg Base) Salad without that protein and then I added sautéed Mushrooms. And boy... it was incredibly juicy and tasty. Price was fair for the fresh ingredients- even the fresh mushrooms used. Plus service was super chill from my homeboy- even telling me they have Shrimp and Tilapia options last minute....you know I'm gonna hit this place up again.

    Chicken Parmesan

Had to wait 25-30 minutes for chicken parmesan. The food was decent but not worth the wait.

Muscle Maker has been one of my go to spots for a few years now and somehow this review managed to slip through the cracks so to speak. Eat Good. Feel Good. Is the MMG's motto and they live up to it. With made to order meals using fresh waistline friendly ingredients. There hasn't been an item on the menu that I've tried and wasn't pleased with. Each meal will run you on average about $10 and since they are made to order you will have to wait. A well worth it wait btw. This location is spacious, clean and has a nice staff. They even have a fitness studio at the back where classes are held weekly @ a nominal fee. Of all the locations I've been to by far this is one of my favs. They offer delivery, however because of popularity there can be a wait. If you know what you want I recommend calling it in and the doing a drive-by self pick-up. Just A Note: Sadly but respected they are closed on Sundays.

Arizona vegan meal - lol look at all the bacon

When I called I was told that the Arizona bike would be the easiest to make vegan. They would take out the bacon and add more vegetables and vegan burger meat. I was looking forward to this for my lunch - so disappointed the meal came with bacon.

    Keto Buffalo with chicken

Looked up keto on uner eats and came across this gem that had a specific keto section. I was so pleased because I recently started dipping my toe in the keto world. After looking through the menu I settled on the spinach Caesar wrap with mixed veg and the keto Buffalo plate with chicken. I really enjoyed the keto plate and the spinach wrap was good. I also ordered the signature sauce on the side and that was tasty. Definitely a fan and if im in the area again I will definitely return.

    Turkey Chili Salad

After working out my friend suggested we come here for lunch. I had never heard of this chain but I'm glad we came. Love how they have dishes that are usually full of calories but they make them a lot healthier. I got to try the turkey chili and Italian salad. They were both really good and filling. Everything was very fresh and the girls behind the counter were super nice and helpful. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was because I wish they made fresh green juices in addition to just protein smoothies.

Rocky Balboa Wrap $15. Rock solid, dry and old meatballs. No marinara sauce and dry, burnt grilled chicken. Uneditable and thrown away !!!

Hello I don't usually give reviews about food but this one will help others to avoid this Muscle Maker. I just received 2 Rocky Balboa wraps which consist of meatballs, grilled chicken and marinara sauce. The meatball was rock solid and the grilled chicken was very dry. To top it off they forgot to put the marinara sauce on it. I was trying to call them to complain and no one answered the phone and voicemail box was full. So now the wraps are in the garbage and I'm out 30 bucks for 2 of them. Beware of this restaurant. VERY POOR CUSTOMERS SERVICE.

Dry overcooked chicken and not so fresh iceberg lettuce
    Brenda E.

Trying to eat healthy in the Bronx...with this said MMG has some Keto friendly options. I ordered from grub hub---the Keto Hollywood Salad. Nothing wow--iceberg lettuce, some spinach, DRY and Burnt grilled chicken with turkey bacon and melted cheddar cheese, with sauce on the side. It's your basic salad, wish the chicken was cooked correctly.

We continued frequenting this spot even after new ownership as the location is ideal for the area. We've all had so many cool memories here. Unfortunately Covid put a kibosh on most things and calmed the activities down somewhat. Despite the calmed down atmosphere this spot is still one of our go-to's for the occasional drink. As for the food itself, it always seemed basic and not on par with food options from back in the day. It's apparent that improvements on food are trying to be made, so good luck to them on improving. The restaurant itself is attractive, bright, spacious, and decidedly upscale. Although we had made a reservation, it really wasn't necessary on a weekday. The hostess warmly invited us to sit wherever we liked and promptly provided menus and a beverage list. Unfortunately, the service got off to a slow start. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, it took quite a while for our server to acknowledge us and take our order. A few more minutes and we were prepared to leave. My dining companion ordered the hamburger, while I chose the Cubano sandwich. Both dishes were attractively presented and quite tasty. The food was definitely the highlight of the experience. Our primary disappointment was the service. The server never formally welcomed us or introduced herself. Given the Bally's brand and the restaurant's upscale appearance, I expected a more polished level of hospitality. Obtaining our check was also a lengthy process. At one point, our server appeared engaged in conversation with the bartender, then walked past our table and disappeared into the kitchen for several minutes. Upon her return, I had to raise my hand to get her attention. To be fair, she was pleasant and courteous, but she wasn't particularly attentive--especially considering that we appeared to be her only active table. I had noticed similar comments about inconsistent service in previous reviews and assumed they reflected busy weekend conditions. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case during our visit. We had considered staying for dessert, but decided against making the additional time investment. Now that I've experienced Bally's Waterfront Restaurant, I don't think I'll be returning.

Beyond the food, Archie's also has one of the best Scotch and whiskey (bourbon and rye included) selections anywhere in the area. It feels curated by people who genuinely care about food and drink, not just running another restaurant. We eat there often, especially for brunch, which is spectacular and consistently better than it has any right to be for a neighborhood spot on City Island. The best example of the attention to detail was the chopped cheese sandwich special. When it arrived, my first thought was: "How is anyone supposed to eat this giant thing?" But then you take a bite and realize the bread was custom made specifically for the sandwich. Somehow it completely melts in your mouth along with the meat and cheese, making this enormous sandwich unexpectedly delicate and perfectly balanced. We had the $45 special, which included an appetizer, an entrée, and two hours of unlimited mimosas or sangria. The garlic shrimp with bread was easily a 10/10! It was so good that I actually saved the sauce to put on my salmon later. The salmon itself was also good, but unfortunately, the mashed potatoes were dry and bland, which was a little disappointing. The DJ was one of the highlights of the night, along with the ambiance and the overall space. The restaurant was very spacious, and the atmosphere was laid-back and fun. The drinks were also strong and definitely worth it! Unfortunately, the chicharrón fried chicken was a major disappointment. Several people in my party ordered it, and the chicken smelled like either the chicken or the frying oil was old.
