Both the office staff and technician were friendly, professional and efficient; they quoted us a fair price up front for the first hour and were done well within it. I can't imagine being told that no sewage was leaving your house for an unspecified period is ever going to be a pleasant experience but these folks made resolving it easy and painless. I felt sorry for him because the amount of stuff that came out of it. I thought maybe we had a nest but it seems there was a chimney fire at some point and he removed two bags of crap! The following day I was contacted by Declan who asked if he can call out a bit earlier, I had no problem. Declan arrived with all the equipment, Vacuum cleaner, poles, drill (cheating!!) , plastic sheet etc. Did the job & cleaned up afterwards. He quoted over email. He informed me he would have a plumber out to me - I took the morning off work - the plumber never arrived I rang him and informed him plumber had not arrived - he told me he had not put the job in the system so he would need to come out another day - again I had to chase him as plumber did not arrive at the newly scheduled time. Plumber eventually came and he disconnected the gas but did not provide me with a conformance cert. I told him he needed to provide me with a conformance cert - he argued with me but eventually acceded and I paid him. A few weeks later I tried to turn on my living room fire, I could not, I informed Con that his plumber disconnected gas to living room and below is the email thread that ensued: Gavin There was no gas supply to the fire present. I suspect it may have been disconnect at some other time. Con That's not true Con - I had the fire on when I moved into the house Gavin When I initially called you requested that the gas supply to the kitchen be disconnected. I told you that the best was to do this was to disconnect the old GB pipe and run a new supply to the boiler. This you agreed to. You never mentioned that there was a gas fire nor was there a gas supply taken from the garage for a fire. I explained what we were going to do which you were aware of and agreeable to. I was never in the lounge. I explained that we would remove the old GB pipe going into the kitchen and run a new pipe from the gas meter to the boiler.
