The work is excellent and very tide and the team (Paul, Tony, Jack) were very neat, clean and quiet (helps when working at home). They are very helpful - previously coming back late one evening to ensure that we had water for the weekend. The communications with Tony, Jack and Paul has really been superb. Paul very clearly explained what was required (step by step), the work that undertaken after the job was completed, all of the different changes that were made and why, and a thorough rundown of the new controls. Paul also clearly guided us through the SEAI grant system, sent us the correct form links and included the BER assessment in the work, which is really appreciated when you don't have your own contacts. Turned up at times when it suited him not when we'd agreed, walking around the place like he owned it, prominently displaying his hard neck! Difficult from the start; He refused to give a written estimate even though asked for one constantly: "what do you need it for? Have you not got the money?". His eventual bill wasn't itemised, and nothing was costed, just a rambling account of what he'd done. Obviously the need to recoup lost Covid-19 earnings trumps integrity/customer satisfaction. Having checked with reputable plumbers, found the almost 2000 Euro he charged to replace a water cylinder, was grossly in excess of the going rate. It was almost worth it to see the back of him! Dun Laoghaire plumbing and Gerry Mc Govern (if there's a difference) will exploit your plumbing problems when an opportunity arises. Get 3 estimates before work starts, and don't be bounced in to dealing with unscrupulous tradesmen. Vic tim

Pulling out a bathroom and putting a whole new one in is expensive and pretty messy. What if you could have the same effect but for waaaay less hassle and money? Chris comes in, re-grouts the place and does whatever is necessary 'cosmetically' so it actually looks brand new shampoo. I was moving out of my rented place at the weekend and had to get a sink replaced (the tap fell off and cracked the bowl in a bizarre poltergeist-like move). Chris was in and out in a couple of hours, after replacing the sink, and re-grouting the area all around it. It looked absolutely perfect, and is a testament to his work style - he seems to be a perfectionist and will go above and beyond to make sure the place is gleaming before he leaves. He hit on a few plumbing problems when he was in the middle of the job that he also took care of, swiftly and easily. What I liked most about him though was that he was honest about the work that needed to be done, not pushy at all, and definitely great value - not out to rip anyone off. All in all a brilliant idea and service. Just wish I'd thought of it! Back to the drawing board so...!

They then phoned my tenant and harassed her because of my review! Why did they phone her and not me? Because she's mother at home minding a newly born, I suppose. Whereas I'm in my 50ies living in Cork. Go figure! Now they're sending me makey-uppy cease and cecist (yep, that's how they spelled it) emails. I'd find this amusing if they had only contacted me. They're behaving like a jilted lover that just won't move on. But to torment my tenant who has got a baby boy to attend to. That's creepy. Honestly, I can deal with a stalker. But can you? Or your wife? Or your children?
