Turned up at times when it suited him not when we'd agreed, walking around the place like he owned it, prominently displaying his hard neck! Difficult from the start; He refused to give a written estimate even though asked for one constantly: "what do you need it for? Have you not got the money?". His eventual bill wasn't itemised, and nothing was costed, just a rambling account of what he'd done. Obviously the need to recoup lost Covid-19 earnings trumps integrity/customer satisfaction. Having checked with reputable plumbers, found the almost 2000 Euro he charged to replace a water cylinder, was grossly in excess of the going rate. It was almost worth it to see the back of him! Dun Laoghaire plumbing and Gerry Mc Govern (if there's a difference) will exploit your plumbing problems when an opportunity arises. Not only did they answer the phone, but a plumber had my boiler fixed within 2 hours of making the phone call. I paid a premium because of the day that was in it (€120), but that is to be expected with a last minute call out on a public holiday.
