Today my car wont start up, and AAA gave me a jump start, they also did a battery health check showing a week battery and it needs immediate replacement. So I went to the Advance Auto Parts store, Novi, MI, talked to Mike K, and they performed a battery health check and it also showed the battery indeed is week and needs to be replaced. Without any hesitation they put a brand new Die Hard Gold battery in the car, and it costed me nothing. I am so happy and grateful. What a great customer service!!!! Outstanding service…read more I happened to find this store on the day that they were having their grand opening. I was greeted at the front door by Noel with a HANDSHAKE, a smile, and a warm welcome! He actually came outside and opened the door for me. I have never gone into any place of business and felt so welcomed and appreciated. Noel gave me a brief tour and told me what the best deals were for their grand opening. He was very friendly and helpful. When I had completed my shopping, Noel took it upon himself to take my order out to my vehicle and helped me load it into my car. I wish every experience was as great as this when you walk into an Auto Parts store, or any business really. Had I been unfamiliar with Advance Auto Parts, I would have thought Noel owned the store. I hope his service does not go unrecognized.

When I got there, the pump did not match mine at all. Not even close. The counter man spent some time on his computer cross referencing what little information I could give him. He then went in the back and came back with a very dusty box which contained the exact pump I needed. Everything I needed was in the one box. Cannot tell you how thrilled I was and how extraordinary it is to get that level of service AND to have the part on hand when you need it. I contacted Nick and he said that he'd give me $450 for the car and that he'd meet me whenever, which was a legitimate offer that I was happy to consider. While he ended up sending one of his guys out to get the car on time, he (his employee) immediately said that the "catalytic converter" was bad (I had just recently put $1,000 into the car and had a full checkout of the car from the shop; this was never found to be an issue) and tried to now take it for $350, and this after showing up and saying that the settling price over the phone was $400. This "catalytic converter" problem was apparently what his boss had said when he sent him a picture of the car. Since I was from out of town, I wasn't going to have any major qualms and settled with $400 but figured I'd write this review. So, by all means use Nick's Cash for Junk Cars, but just be ready with backup offers and others on hand so that he doesn't slash you for the little money that you'll end up getting anyways.
